I purchased a new Jetta from Coastal a couple of years ago and despite the glowing reviews submitted here by other customers - and we can only assume these are actual buyers - I had exactly the kind of experience people dread when they shop for a new car. I negotiated in good faith with sales team member Eben and we were quite close to a deal. Nonetheless, Eben found it necessary to consult with the manager, Sean C., and, after an exchange of handwritten offers, I was summoned to talk to the boss in his office. Sean's tone was dismissive and he tried to minimize the financial impact to me. He even suggested that the delta between his offer and my counter wasn't worth discussing with my wife (that was a new tactic for me). It was insulting, especially since the amount was meaningful to me but would hardly keep VW's finance folks up at night. I nearly walked out but we found just enough middle ground to make a deal. I love the car and the service department has been great. However, I'd be hard pressed to go to this dealership again or recommend it to others.

Let me just say, like you, I spent hours upon hours online researching every single aspect of the car buying process prior to walking into Coastal Volkswagen. However, as soon as I was introduced to Matt I felt at ease. He made it apparent that he not only knew what he was talking about, but he was there to make sure I was as happy as possible. After having obliged to multiple test drives, answering numerous questions, and asking about my personal preferences, Matt helped me pick out the car of my dreams. I even left with a lower monthly payment than expected (thanks to Eddy in Finance), and feel that I've established a positive relationship with a dealer than I plan to utilize in the future. I purchased a 2012 VW Golf TDI...and love it!

I requested two models of VW Tiguan to take a look at. Ben W. had both together for me to take a look at and compare. He explained differences. He provided me time to look by my self. The test drive encompassed highway and local roads. After purchasing the car rather late on a Thursday evening, Ben readied the car allowing me to take it home that evening. He set up my Blutooth and phone address book. He also explained the basic options on the car. He was most personable and helpful. I don't think it was because of Ben, but rather the finance person. The first price given to me took a rather long time. But once we got through that, everything went quickly. I'd work with Ben again and with recommend him to anyone looking for a VW at Coastal.

I recently purchased a pre-owned car from John T. at Coastal Volkswagen, and the transaction couldn't have gone more smoothly. I went in on a Sunday afternoon, and drove out in a different car that same day!

I recently purchased a Jetta at Coastal. After researching online, Coastal had the best price by far. Everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable, especially Ben W. Ben offered to get the car registered and inspected and then dropped it off at my house which is not very close so I could get the car sooner. Great customer service!

My wife and I test drove the VW Touraeg at Coastal VW, the sales person Terrence S. and Sales Mgr Sean C. were very respectful of our time and did not want to sit down & do the meet the manager drill. They both knew a lot about the cars and had passion for the VW name and product. We decided to buty another vehicle b/c of the extra seating needed but I was very impressed with this team and did not feel the pressure as typical from other manf sales. When I buy my daughter new car this summer (Jetta), it will be from Coastal VW in Hanover, MA.

I recently purchased a VW Golf TDI here and I was very happy with the quality of the car and the service at Coastal. Especially Eben G.was very helpful. We had very specific wishes for our car and Eben made everything possible (even if it included getting a car from 7 hours away). My wife and I will definitely go here again when we get our next car. I grew up in Germany but this is the best VW dealer I have ever been to. 3 thumbs up!!

Hats off to the team at Coastal Volkswagen: Sean Callis, Jon Tangeman, Courtney Blundell, Corinne Morris and New Car Prep for making my most recent new car purchase extremely pleasant and without stress. My 8th new car and 3rd VW product, their goals matched mine: no three-card Monte, professional, excellent communication, direct and concluding the transaction very quickly. Jon went above and beyond to educate me on the car and its’ features, as well as having it DMV inspected, which I have not experienced anywhere else. I highly recommend the Coastal VW Dealership for a very professional, customer focused buying experience.
