Such a Great Experience!

I submitted my interest in a 2024 Forester through AAA and was quickly sent several quotes. Some paid no attention to what I was looking for, others did. Lance at AutoNation was spot on, and even walked me through a couple of other offers. When we went into the dealership we were treated well by everyone. We didn't need to finance the car, but were still given some helpful options through Subaru. This is our third Subaru, the other two purchased at a dealership closer to us that treated us like we had no idea what we wanted or really interest in talking to us. We will be buying a new Outback sometime next year and will be switching everything to AutoNation.

Took vehicle in for routine oil change and asked to have the brakes looked at. Turned out the brake pads were good but the rotors were worn down. Both had to them be replaced. They were fairly quick with the service and accurate in pricing.

Go with the Dealer not some tire chain

Previously I fell into traps by chains like Mr. Tire and Midas making guesses on how to fix the problems with the vehicle, only to return and pay more for them to figure it out. Go to the experts, the dealer… yes you may “pay more” but you will save in the long hull since they don’t take guesses with your money.

I explained Starlink never has worked- car is 3 months old. Then I received a letter with the recall. I asked if this extends my service? She didn't know. The app on the dash is still gray and cannot be opened? Was it fixed? Staff doesn't know.

Buying A Car Couldn't Be More Simpler

Our overall experience purchasing a new 2023 Subaru Crosstrek with Auto Nation Subaru Hunt Valley was excellent! Through several dialogues via text and phone call prior to our visit to the dealership, not only did Auto Nation matched a competitor's price, but there were no other gimmicks or pushy sales attempts to further add to the price of the car. The Saleswoman Banchi was very customer oriented and a pleasure to work with. We were in and out in less than hour and a half. The dealership was very clean and the people warm and friendly.

Each dealership is an independent franchise and they have wildly different cultures. Some great, some dubious. I had some critical thinking and decisions on who to trust. Autonation provided a quality car buying experience. Much different than my past buying experiences. I came in ready to do battle but there was no reason too. The price was fair for the market. No hassle, I even received an incentive right off the bat. So, no need to gear up for war. I did not feel manipulated or pressured at any point. The whole process was smooth and drama free. my salesman Don said if I come in, he will make my car buying experience right. I ended up buying a 2022 Legacy and so far, it has worked out for them and me.

This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. Lance was a respectful and calm salesman. He took the time to calmly explain questions during my skepticism after previous experiences with dishonest dealers. Everyone there is very genuinely helpful. Andy kindly helped resolve a concern due to supply chain. Lance took time and explained many of the features before I left. They were available when I had questions later as there are a lot of features. Seemed to come in fairly low on the trade in offer so maybe shop around on that.

A note to the Service Manager

Eric,I have expressed concerns about the trustworthiness of service advisories from Autonation. Last year it was imperative that the tires on the FOrester be changed. "We sell tires." I got the tires replaced at Costco. "Why did you change these tires out?" I examined the ones that came off the car. The wear pattern was even and the tread depth was consistently good. Last week with less than 5000 miles total on the tires I get yellow Tread depth warnings on the Multipoint service... Last visit the brakes were replaced and this inspection Yellow brake pads? I represented investment and private banking firm for 30 years. I learned early on the only thing I sold was trust. If the trust is broken it is challenging to repair. My patience with Autonation Subaru is at a breaking point. Ps, you might want to do an alignment next visit? I have about 2mm miles under my seat. There is no pull to the right or left on flat and level roads or under braking. I am going to look for another shop.
