Thieves! Charging money when they are not suppose to & horrible management!

This service department is the worst! ALFONSO RODRIGUEZ is a thief! My mother took her vehicle, a 2023, for a recall and oil change. ALFONSO took advantage of the language barrier and charged her when she wasn't suppose to be charge a penny for any of this. He added charges to her bill without her consent. I called the location to speak to JEREMY SANCHEZ and it's been two days and still haven't heard back from him. STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MAKING MONEY IN THEIR OWN POCKETS AND NOT IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CUSTOMER! I spoke to ALFONSO and he lied and said she had agreed which she didn't. He was the one who tried to charge her the entire process when he knows he wasn’t suppose to. This isn’t the first time they try to charge her when she should not pay anything for 2 years! Worst location to visit please stay away. I will be filing a formal complaint! Update: 2/13/24 I waited over 24 hours for a call from the Sales manager JEREMY and now also the General Manager LUIS and I have not heard back. It seems as though sales stats are more important than the customer service they offer. They really do not care whatsoever about the customers nor the service they provide. PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!

My experience at this place was beyond perfection. I'm a first-time buyer and I had multiple concerns which were all addressed by the amazing car guy as he called himself "Marcus Lozano" and offered a car within my budget, I got back home with a car, however, I was just going there as just a shopper. If I can brag for a minute. Marcus Lozano from McGrath City Honda was the best! He made my car buying experience so easy. I came into the dealership looking for one specific car. Ended up finding a better one. He took care of us like we were family. I appreciated that. My daughter had lost her phone in one of the cars we were testing driving. When I called him to let him know. He went looking for her phone with no hesitation. Thank you Marcus for making this a memorable shopping experience. We'll be back for sure. DECEPTIVE SALE TACTICS!

BUYER BEWARE! IF YOU DON'T AVOID BUYING FROM THEM, DEMAND HARD COPIES OF YOUR PAPERWORK SO YOU CAN SEE WHAT THEY ARE ACTUALLY HAVING YOU SIGN! It took almost four hours to buy the car I already knew I wanted. They do this to wear down buyers into purchasing their additional warranty & maintenance plans. They use a tablet so customers can't see everything they are signing. Once you initial & sign, they scroll through the paperwork on the tablet pointing to where the customer should touch to sign. They gave me a thumb drive, stating my paperwork was on it, but THE BILL OF SALE & ODOMETER READING WAS NOT INCLUDED! I still don't have the paperwork for the McGrath Package that extends the warranty. They never told me they were selling me three separate policies, & they never pointed it out on the tablet. A manager viewed the video recording they make of the transaction & a manager confirmed this. They give you a thumb drive instead of printed paperwork, so you can't see the contract until you leave.

Recently I purchased a pre-owned vehicle at this dealer and I was lucky enough to have Marcus Lozano working on the deal with me. Since the beginning Marcus was great by answering all the questions, sending pictures and working hard to get the best deal as possible. We had some up & downs moments with the management, but Andrew was able to overcome all the challenges to make this deal possible. If you are looking to buy a car at McGrath City Honda, please look for Marcus. You won’t regret.

Amazing Experience, Great Clean Vehicles!

Just purchased an amazing car for a great price with the amazing help of Marcus Lozano! I've bought a few cars from different dealers before but I've never had an amazing experience that I had with Marcus Lozano at McGrath City Honda! It honestly did not feel like I was at a dealership, Marcus and the team there did everything they could to make me happy with the purchase, he was patient, knowledgeable and empathetic! It felt like I was working with family. Marcus Lozano and McGrath have a customer for life with me, please please give them a chance and ask for Marcus. You will not regret it!! Pros: Clean and safe environment Extremely friendly staff and amenities Didn't feel like anyone was trying to take advantage of "rip" me off Fair pricing Great clean cars! Cons: Honestly, NONE!

MARCUS IS DA BOMB 💣

I'm a 25 year old young guy who was raised by a single mom- meaning I have 0 knowledge of cars or the process. I took my wife with me to try to make sure I didn't get scammed. Scammed is the furthest thing I can say from what I got. Marcus is an incredibly kind and honest human being. I work in the medical field and have a pretty decent judge of character. I felt comfortable with him from moment one and so did my wife. Our first car application didn't go as I wanted, so we switched up and tried a used car. He got me approved, and I drove off same day. He didn't just sell me the car, he built up my knowledge for the future and explained everything to me in ways that made sense. He was humorous and truly compassionate. I would never buy a car from anywhere else besides this place. I hope he never retires so my future kids can get cars from him as well. If your an anxious person, or someone with little to none car knowledge this is your place. Ask for Marcus he'll take care of you.

My wife and I visited McGrath City Honda to look at a used car that we had identified online. Soon after we walked in the door we were paired up with a salesman- Marcus Lozano. Marcus wasted no time and immediately began to make us a priority. He was outstanding in reviewing the car, answering our questions and making sure we had a great first visit experience. Marcus was extremely knowledgable about the process, was not pushy and took the time to listen and provide solutions to our inquiries about the car. He ensured that we were comfortable throughout the process. Marcus even offered us lunch at Popeye's while we waited! Great customer service all around. Marcus introduced us to the general manager and finance reps, neither of them tried to oversell us on anything! It was a breath of fresh air when they supported and worked with us when we picked the final options on the final offer and bill of sale. It was not about their agenda! Friendly, honest and customer focused is the best way to describe Marcus and the entire team. We had a trade in which was processed quickly and a fair offer was made for the vehicle. Marcus Lozano's work is rated Five Stars- Job well done! I have been to a number of car dealerships and McGrath is one of the best car dealerships in Chicago and the surrounding surburbs! I would recommend this dealership and wouldn't hesitate buying another car from McGrath!

10/10 for Marcus Lozano!!! I've been on a car search for five months, and to a handful of dealerships in the city, and Marcus at McGrath was the best! Helped me get the car I was on a hunt for, at a price I was looking for, and made sure I knew everything I needed to know about the car! Car buying is not a quick trip but Marcus made sure my sisters and I were always comfortable. Other than Marcus, the staff was also very welcoming and friendly. I will definitely be sending anyone looking for a car to Marcus!

The experience at McGrath was was beyond our expectations. My partner and I went into look at what type of financing we could be offered, having had a horrible experience at other dealerships. We walked out a few hours later with a brand new vehicle and a great interest rate. I need to commend Marcus Lozano for his commitment to help us get the best rate possible. He is by far one of the best dealership sales person I've dealt with. We were treated like family from the start and will definitely come back in the next few months to upgrade our second car.
