Stellar Sales - Financing Fail

Review averages to 5 stars, because sales deserves 10 but finance gets 0. I bought a car and my salesman was Jim Gallegos. I cannot describe how awesome he was. I don't necessarily have the looks of person who would buy a car day of, walking in with a large down payment. It didn't phase Jim at all. He was straight and direct, started exactly at the price I was quoted on the phone, delivered the exact car I had been asking about, and was able to drop the price just enough to make the numbers work perfectly. Anything good you think somebody could say about him, consider me as saying it here. Like seriously, if you go in ready to buy a car just ask for Jim Gallegos directly. However, this was juxtaposed against the "finance" person I was sent with to finalize the deal with, Trey Hughes. This guy is horrendous. Like, I get that its his job and he is required to tell you about and offer an extended warranty, but the guy just would not take no for an answer, no matter how many times I said it. When he couldn't talk me into buying an incredibly expensive thing I don't want or need he tried all the classic mental games to try and get you to talk yourself into it. He refused to answer any actual questions I had about the financing. Totally ignored questions I had about the contracts, instead continuing to sales pitch at me while I tried to read through them without getting distracted. I have NO idea how I'm supposed to be paying for my loan or to who the money goes. I asked multiple times and flippantly told "It'll come in the mail" before being pestered about "whyyyyyy dont you want to protect yourself with an extended warranty..." I would have walked out of the dealership because of Trey Hughes right then and there if only it hadn't been for the amazing experience I had with Jim just prior. Jim breaks all the car salesman stereotypes, while Trey is the cause of them. I highly recommend going in and buying a car from Jim Gallegos, but at the end if you get sent to the back with Trey Hughes just walk right into the office next door and wait for somebody else from financing to come in.

I had a great experience buying our car here. Doan Vu was our salesman. He was not only personable, but was genuine and really cared. He seemed to want the best for us and worked with us to get us the deal we needed. Not only did he work on our behalf but he went the extra mile. Doan Vu is a best salesman that I ever met.

As a person who keeps vehicles for a very long time before trading them, I have been increasingly intrigued at the changing of the Toyota 4Runner into a new generation. So I stopped in at Mountain States Toyota and Hunter Perez helped me look, drive, and discover the 24 4Runner TRD ORP. He was patient, thoughtful, not overly “sales forward”, and a pleasure to work with. The entire process from initial handshake through trade in appraisal, through deal making, finance considerations, and vehicle orientation exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mountain States Toyota and Hunter Perez to anyone curious or in search of or even just considering their next vehicle.

I was impressed with the team work from within. Everyone had a job to complete and it was completed within a relevant timeframe. I trust Jim with his years of experience and integrity that he holds with Mountain States. I valued his listening skills and heard my needs and accommodated from the beginning of our interaction. The professional attitude of everyone at Mountain States is appreciated.

We met with sales associate Doan Vu who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in. He helped us find the perfect vehicle for our family at just the right price! He walked us through the entire process and made it less stressful than we expected! He would update us on vehicle status and keep us in the loop on everything until our new vehicle arrived at the dealership. I recently embarked on the challenging journey of finding a Toyota Prius Prime amidst the ongoing chip shortage. The process proved to be daunting as I encountered various obstacles with other dealerships. However, my experience with Randy Hendrick at Mountain States Toyota was nothing short of exceptional. We went to Mountain States Toyota to find a new SUV & we were helped by Carl Porretti. We had specific SUVs in mind and he was efficient in showing us the options that were available and gave us honest reviews & facts about the types of SUVs to help our decision. During the test drive he showed us all of the features and aspects of the car which was really helpful. When we decided on a car he was efficient and very generous with the offer made. We really enjoyed working with Carl & Mountain States Toyota and feel like we got a really high quality car for a great deal and smooth process.

Quick and easy sales process

I went in vaguely knowing the model and trims that I was interested in and my salesperson, Carl Porretti, was very helpful and knowledgeable and was able to get me a great, new car within 2 weeks. The process at this dealership was very painless and easy to navigate as a first-time car buyer.

Quick and no pressure

Came in to test drive a used car I was really interested in. I worked with Matt West, who wasn't pushy, was straight to the point but welcoming, and provided all info I needed to make an informed choice. I would absolutely buy from there again (maybe when I decide to get a new Toyota in a few years!).

I found a new dealership

My daughter was in an accident where her jeep Grand Cherokee was totaled. When we were searching to replace her vehicle we found several used vehicles in our price range at Mountain States Toyota. My wife and daughter met Ryan B. when they arrived and Ryan was able to show them the inventory they had. My girls narrowed the search and started the process to find out more about a Subaru Forester. I went in to visit with Ryan the next day and to discuss the process of completing the sale. Ryan introduced me to Jose M in finance and the transaction was completed very smooth. Since this was a used vehicle and out on manufactures warranty, Jose gave me option to select an extended warranty that fit my price range and duration. While at the dealership i noticed a 2021 GMC truck and to make a long story short Ryan helped me trade in my 2015 truck and drive away with the 2021. Joey R. assisted me with the quick and easy finance options for this unit. Overall both deals were super smooth and fast. NO CRAZY SALES PITCHES I will defiantly refer my friends to the team at Mountain States Toyota including Ryan B, Jose M and Joey R. Thanks guys.

No Gimmicks, No Hidden Fees, Smooth Purchase Process

I called Mountain States Toyota one evening and spoke to the online sales rep, Brianna. She confirmed that they had a vehicle in stock and told me that the Tacoma would be sold $1,000 over invoice. I told her I would be there the next morning and would probably purchase the vehicle as long as nothing changed. She suggested I put a deposit on the vehicle but I declined since I planned to be there first thing in the morning. When I got there, Jimmy was my floor sales rep and informed me that two other individuals were interested in purchasing the exact same truck I was there to buy. Long story short, he suggested I wait and I'm so glad I did because everything that was previously discussed was true. No extras were added to the vehicle and I didn't have to talk through 5 different people to get to the price I wanted. The process was smooth, albeit long, but only long because of the amount of people that were buying vehicles that morning. I will continue to recommend this dealership for sales for as long as they keep up with my experience. I'm very happy with my experience and vehicle.

Amazing service!

We worked with Randy Hendricks in 2021 when my son purchased a new Tacoma, right before the supply chain issues started. It was one of the last sticks on the lot, and Randy worked with my son to help him decide which model was right for him. Randy was always professional, helpful, and got the job done quickly and easily. Last night, I purchased a new 4Runner TRD Off-road that we ordered with Randy last fall. It was a long wait, and Randy kept me informed the whole way along. He frequently texted me updates, and whenever I had a question, he would always reply promptly. When we came in yesterday to get it, he carefully explained all the features and how to customize all the settings. I couldn't be happier with the service Randy has provided to my family with the purchase of both new Toyota's. A good friend of mine up here in Breckenridge recommended Mtn States. I’m so happy I took his advice. The price was better than I found other places and the service was amazing! Jim Gallegos, the sales rep, was awesome! And we drove away with a new 4-Runner at a good price. The most stressful park of the day was, while driving that new car back to the mountains, a freak hail storm rolled into the front range. Luckily I dodged the bullet and hail. I was very happy with MTN States Toyota
