Buyer beware!

Buyer beware if you purchase a car from Upland Ford! I paid the asking price for a "Blue Certified" vehicle. Ensure you get the Used Car Inspection sheet before you leave the dealership. I was told "that" the department was closed for the day, so they would email me the inspection sheet, it never came. After three days, I knew the transmission had issues. 6 weeks later, I had the transmission replaced, I was without my car for 2 weeks. Four months and less than 5500 miles after the purchase, the list of issues is growing! The SD Navigation card is corrupted ($455), the rotors and "brand new" brake pads need to be replaced ($2180), and the second row Air Bag sensor had to be adjusted to turn off the warning light ($235). After multiple phone calls and many promises, I have yet to have a phone call from General Manager. Jose said multiple times he would email the Used Car Inspection sheet and the prior service records as the vehicle was originally sold and subsequently serviced by Upland.

Lied to me

Ford of Upland downright lied to my face. When I was purchasing a 2022 F150 STX, I was told that I would be receiving 120,000 Ford Pass points which I could use towards services (oil change, etc) and the points would be sent to my app within a few days. Two weeks later, I still haven't gotten my points and saw that I could register for the points on my app, thinking that the dealership may have forgotten to apply the points. Much to my dismay, I get a message stating I don't qualify because the vehicle was registered previously to the dealership and used as a loaner (which I was aware of). But the fact that I was made a promise which was not fulfilled does not sit well with me. I spoke with my salesman Lawrence who is a great guy and have asked him to check with management to make good on their promise. I told him I would give him 48 hours to get back to me. If this situation is alleviated to my satisfaction, I will take down this negative review. Otherwise, this will stay up and serve as a warning to get everything in writing because foolishly, I took their word.

Broken promises

The Ford sales team told me, I was going to get a charger, it has been a month and no charger. They did not show me how to charge my car. I felt that I needed to figure things out myself. It has been a horrible experience.

Employees Need Training

Called and spoke to a young lady advised her of my problem and she put me on a brief hold. The call was then answered by Josh seemed like some young guy with little if any customer service experience. He asked if can help me, advised him I was being help. He advised the call was transferred to him. I asked if he was advised for the reason I was calling. At first he denied knowing why I was calling until he slip and proceeded to tell me the transmission tech was not available. I then advised him I had several recalls that also needed to be addressed. This [non-permissible content removed] began diagnosing my vehicle over the phone and had the nerve to tell me he was going to clear the recalls. I told him I would like to speak to his manager so he puts me on hold. About 10 min later he returns to the phone and tells me his manager is not available and that he will call me tomorrow. I then requested to speak to the GM once again he puts me on hold. After 15 min of waiting I hang up and call the front office and an operator named Gabby answered. I ask her to connect me to the GM and proceeded to put me on hold. Comes back on the line and transfers me to an extension clearly un associated with the GM. I call back again Gabby answered and puts me on indefinite hold. I call back and again Gabby would pick up and immediately place me on hold. I called back several times and the same action was taken. I called from a different phone and Gabby answered. Once I told her who I was she said she would connect me to the GM. She again placed me on indefinite hold. I hung up and Gabby began calling my phone and placing me on an immediate hold. Childish. What is wrong with this business is there no management supervising their employees. Your employees childish behavior is a direct reflection of your lack of supervision. Any employee who feels they can conduct themselves in manner clearly knows they will suffer no repercussion.

Awful service- do not go here

Service department is awful. We brought our Explorer in for diagnosis for minor repairs that are under warranty. They kept the car for 2 days to diagnose and were told they would call once the parts came in. They never called. We called and scheduled an appointment a month out. Thay was the earliest available date. We dropped our car off Monday and were told it would be done by end of day Tuesday. We called Tuesday and were told they needed one more day as a part had just arrived. This is a bit ridiculous as we had it diagnosed 2 months ago. We called back today, Wednesday, and were told that they haven't even started the work and will need a few more days. Then why have you had my car? We are looking to buy a new car and will definitely not go here even though it is the closest Ford dealership.

Regular Maintenance

I have always taken my car to Ford of Upland for regular maintenance. It is very comforting when I go to see familiar faces when it comes to the service advisors. I feel like I am treated as a friend rather than a customer. They treat me with the utmost respect and I don't feel like they take advantage of me. I would highly recommend them for service.

2014 Ford Focus

My vehicle has been to Ford of Upland three (3) times in the last 4 mouths regarding the transmission. Ford of Upland has replaced several parts in the transmission on the first two visits. The car still shutters when you shift into dive and when the transmission shifts into second gear. I was told to drive the vehicle for 1000 miles and everything should be fine. I had to take the vehicle back last week and now they are telling me that the transmission is within spec.and the transmission will always shutter.. I have made a appointment with Colby Ford in Glendora to see if they can fix the transmission correctly.

Check Engine Light

The Check Engine light came on my vehicle after 5800 miles. I called Ford of Upland and they asked me to bring the vehicle in that day. They did not have the part needed, so I left the car at the dealership over night. The repair was done in the morning when the part arrived. I had my repaired vehicle the next day before noon.

Body work at Ford of Upland

My wife was rear ended on the Hollywood Freeway in her Edge Sport and required body work as a result. The Edge, not my wife! We have previously used the body shop at Ford of Upland with absolute satisfaction and this time was no different. Tim in the shop was fantastic and his people did a through and magnificent repair job. It was on time and the result was perfect. We can not say enough about what a great experience we had with Ford of Upland and Tim.

Exceptional Customer Service

I went to this dealership to replace my Mustang that was totaled due to a flood. I can say without a doubt that the people here are among the friendliest and most helpful that one can meet a car dealership. Kyle G., our salesperson, was amazing. We agreed to purchase a 2014 Mustang and he was going to pick up the car at another dealership. However, this other dealership sold the car and was unable to hold it. The car I wanted was hard to find. So when Kyle called me and said that the exact same car I wanted just rolled into their showroom, I was relieved. The only difference was that it was a convertible. He was able to get it to me for the same price as the coupe for all the trouble. The monthly payment didn't go above our budget either. Kyle did everything he possibly could to meet our expectations. Needless to say, everyone here was professional and extremely great at making us feel at home. The person in charge of finance and preparing our contracts, Billy was really friendly as well. If you need a car and want exceptional customer service Ford of Upland is the place to go. They are really understanding and are willing to go the extra mile. Thanks again Kyle for the service and I'll definitely be back when I need a new car.

Solid Sales Experience

We went and test drove a few cars we were interested in on the weekend. Our sales consultant, Ray Holdrige, had us take out 3 cars at different trim levels with no pressure and just asked us to make sure we were happy with the vehicle. We left without buying and they were profession and just asked if we wanted to run some numbers. When we refused we were thanked for our time and asked to call with any questions. I got a business card went online and comparison shopped, when I called Ray back a week later he matched our best price and saved us a 30 minute drive to another dealer. We discussed add-ons with no pressure, we didn't purchase anything and no one pressed beyond asking once. We were given a decent interest rate and purchased our vehicle and drove it off the lot that day.
