Millis was my advisor for my recent warranty visit for the rear differential error which resulted in the diff lock not working. Millis insisted that the connector which for BD1 is melted and that the associated picture of the melted connector was attached to my case. He has refused to supply me with that picture and claims to not have access to it. I checked the connector myself and it is certainly not melted/broken. I brought this up with Millis and he simply said "IDK what to tell you but it is no longer our problem and I should be grateful they did not charge me a diagnosis fee. The powertrain warranty is for 60K miles, but since they claim it is electrical - this allows for them to deny the warranty. They are asking $7500 dollars to replace the ENTIRE wire harness (when they are insisting it is simply the connector located on top of the rear differential). Nonetheless, he began yelling, looking to his colleagues asking for assurance, and was incredibly unprofessional. I personally have not dealt with such level of incompetence before and realistically, I just want my 2021 Tacoma fixed, or at least real evidence that the "issue" is what they claim it is (again, I checked this connector and I had a 3rd party mechanic confirm my suspicions).

I have purchased two cars at Toyota Sunnyvale so of course I was going to go to them for a new car purchase. I met with Ali and he was nice and friendly. He passed me off to Martin to assist me on my new car purchase. I will have to say the excellent customer that I experienced in the past was not there this time around. I had to keep following up with Martin, he didn't always respond to my messages in a timely manner. I got a notice that I should expect my car soon. I promptly contacted Martin and he said mid-October to expect my new RAV4 hybrid. End of October my car still hadn't arrived. I followed up with Kevin Pang and he assigned me to Marwan to work with. Marwan did contact me and said he would find out what happened. I did call him back, after our first conversation, then I called 2 more times. Marwan did call me to let me know that they had sold my car to someone else. They promised me another car by mid-January. I requested the car deposit back, the one they took back in August. I am writing this review because I am more than disappointed in Toyota Sunnyvale. The excellent customer service I experienced in the past isn't there today. Although, Toyota Sunnyvale assured me the will have a car for me by mid-January 2023 I don't have hope they will follow thru on their promise. I did reach out to Santa Cruz Toyota and they will have a car for me by the end of this month, $2,000 cheaper than Toyota Sunnyvale. So if your looking for RAV4 Hybrid call Santa Cruz Toyota.

BEWARE.... Bought a Certified Pre-owned Toyota from Sunnyvale... Yes it was about $1000 cheaper than Southern California BUT definitely not the same as i have previously experienced with CERTIFIED cars from a franchised dealer. I bought the car sight unseen because it was a TOYOTA CPO car. and i was a current leasee of the exact same car. Docs signed thru FedEx was simple... landed in San Jose, ubered to the dealership grabbed the keys and went. As soon as i got on the freeway i noticed the car pulling right. Drove it for a half hour and i called the salesperson. He told me to take it to my local dealership where i service my car and they would take care of it. Next day i flatbed towed it to Longo Toyota where i get my cars serviced. While waiting to get it towed i noticed error codes not cleared out of this "certified car". Car gets to the dealership they find door locks not operating properly in addition to the car veering right. So now Longo realigned the tires and the car still veers right. Did i mention i own the exact same car since new and KNOW how the car should feel. So the service manager says it HAS to be the CHEAP TIRES. he had never seen the brand before since their dealership ONLY uses OEM tires as one would EXPECT from a dealership. From the CARFAX it shows these CHEAP tires were installed by Sunnyvale Toyota during their "CERTIFICATION" Process. So it never even occurred to me that a FRANCHISED DEALER would not only not INSTALL OEM tires but the cheapest you can buy.??? MOST (if not ALL but Sunnyvale) franchised dealers repair or replace with OEM equipment. CARFAX shows Sunnyvale Toyota put these cheap tires on. NOW Sunnyvale says they are NEW tires and THEY'VE DONE ALL THEY WILL DO. Not to mention the known issue of the steering wheel leather wrinkling that most dealers would have replaced for their customers while the car was under manufacturer warranty. Now dealing with Toyota Customer Care/Mirai Concierge to see if this can be resolved.
