Dream Truck turns Nightmare

by Christian O on 03/16/2024

My truck has been to this shop 4 times for the same concern. My truck spent almost 4 months straight there. ***THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW WHATS WRONG.*** MISDIAG AND SHOTGUNNING PARTS AT MY EXPENSE. After 30-45 minutes of driving, it will begin to misfire. It’ll misfire randomly but has hard misfires when accelerating from a dead stop. My first two visits were with Marlon. First visit he said it was just a battery was causing a long crank and everything was fine. This means they didn’t test drive it long enough. On pickup, Marlon said, “ Well you have fluids due and maybe it’s your spark plugs. They are due at 30k.” So I apply for the credit card. I come back to have everything done. This time it pops a check engine light for a fuel pressure regulator high deviation code. They do all the work. Marlon says I need a brake flush and I agree. Later on he says they can’t do a transmission service but I need a power steering service in the same text thread. I lost my mind and called him out. It’s electric power steering. He thought he could get one more flush out of a sucker. Went to go pick up and speak to a manager. They were busy. I noticed on my invoice that they changed my email so that I do not get a survey in my email. Surveys effect everyone’s pay so make sure your email is correct before they invoice your repair. I picked up the vehicle and it stalled right away and brought it back. Third visit was with Doug. I spoke with Luke the director. He said, “You have to understand why we changed your email to protect our reputation because you know the ins and outs of the business. If you can remove that we will do everything we can to help you.” I did. They said the fuel pump was bad. I got furious. If the fuel pump is losing pressure it will cause a fuel pressure regulator high deviation code because the measured pressure is different from what it should be. I bring this up and no empathy or explanation. When I go to pick it up, they say oh your supercharger is bad it’s whining. I asked for old parts and price on core. No information or parts on arrival. AT THIS POINT I DON’T TRUST THEM. I pick up and get billed for 1 month of rental while they did the fuel pump and they pick up the rental for the supercharger because it’s under manufacture warranty. Turns out my ext warranty paid them for 5 days of rental but never reflected on my bill. I pick up and my first long drive stalled again. I DROP IT OFF THE FOLLOWING MONDAY AND THEY PULL A FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE FAULT CODE. You are telling me it wasn’t the fuel pump. OMFG. This time they have me set up the rental. I call Ram Customer Care. They say they will cover the rental but after 18days I check to see if the rental reservation was changed to Earnhardt’s account. Enterprise said no. I ask my service advisor and he says they won’t do it until they find out if the repair is covered by warranty. He also asked for another 1000$ in diagnostic time to try to find the issue. I said stop service and I’m getting a lawyer. I spoke to Luke. I said 4 months is ridiculous. Misdiagnosis over and over yet you want me to pay more money and pay more in rental. IF YOU TRY CALLING FOR A MANAGER GOOD LUCK. I HAVE A 100K TRUCK THAT CANT GO ON LONG DRIVES. I’ve forwarded all correspondence and story to news station tip lines and my attorney. I’ve left a message for the Dealership GM.

Terrible Jeep Dealership-Stay away!

by AngelKMommy on 12/20/2023

I initially reached out to Earnhardt Jeep with high hopes based on their reviews, thinking I was in good hands. After Jade Huseby responded to me, expressing my preference to deal with management due to previous negative experiences with sales reps, my first impression of Jade was that she needs to work on her communication skills significantly. Despite claiming expertise in handling negative equity and trades, I found her lacking in experience, and her messages came across as rude, making me regret working with her. Conversations with various sales managers further added to the confusion, as each provided different information and were not on the same page. I invested time dealing with them from December 6th until December 19th when I received a rude text, likely from Jade. I cannot recommend her or this dealership. Despite their claim to work with all credit scores, my experience suggests otherwise. I strongly advise avoiding this dealership, especially as they pull credit and then cease communication. Additionally, the discovery that multiple individuals may be responding under the guise of one person further eroded my trust. I have no intentions of recommending Jade, the sales managers, or Earnhardt Jeep to friends or family.

Run Don’t Walk Away From This Dealership!!!

by John Goldsmith on 08/26/2023

Stay away from this dealership. Had a terrific experience with our salesperson, but the GM is dishonest. I understand the “game” that’s played -especially in new care sales, but flat out dishonesty is happening here. They quote “No-haggle pricing” online but in reality they add charges that are not included in that price. I feel bad for our salesperson because she lost a sale due to the GM’s dishonesty.

Go to Tempe its worth the drive

by Bronco on 06/15/2023

Don't waste your time making an appointment, apparently those times are only to talk to a service advisor. Couldn't even manage a timely battery check. Talked to the manager and it seems as if he leads a thing except wanting customers to leave.

Eddie Edward's is the Man.

by Thomas Schuhardt on 05/25/2023

My first new car in twenty years. Went to earnhardt and was greeted by Eddie. This man went above and beyond to help me get thus car. I now drive a new challenger. I am so happy with this car and the earnhardt dealership. If you are looking for a new car, Eddie Edward's should be your first choice.

The only dealership that stepped up!

by Dave M on 08/12/2022

I had some credit issues and had a difficult time finding anyone to help. I was referred to Earnhardt through Auto Credit Express and was immediately contacted by the dealership. Got some preliminary questions answered, showed up for my appointment and was approved in minutes. Tahj Minafee helped me pick out a car and it was a done deal. Tahj was phenomenal. Low pressure, fun and very professional. He made the process quick and easy. The finance manager DeAntre Lewis was phenomenal as well. No issues, no time wasted and I was in and out quickly. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Earnhardt Dodge got my APR at 11% less than Carvana quoted me, but even Carvana couldn't get anything moving forward. The Earnhardt CDJR crew will get a lot of referrals from me - and that should say a lot since I've been in car sales myself for over 8 years. Hat's off to you guys!

Complete lack of accountability and integrity.

by Mike O on 07/23/2022

Shame on Earnhardt Jeep Service department. Please share this story with all of those in the East valley you care about. If you are part of the Public Safety family please beware. Earnhardt Jeep advertise they appreciate and honor first responders, but I have experienced the complete opposite. Earnhardt Jeep service department failed to properly diagnosis and repair my Jeep which led to catastrophic damage requiring a complete replacement of my motor at around 73,000 miles. I took my Jeep in for service due to hesitation/stalling and a vibration. Diagnosis was #3 intake rocker and tappet damaged and destroyed the cam lobe and broken motor mounts. Parts replaced: Camshaft-intake, Gasket-cylinder head cover, Gasket plenum, Arm valve, Tappet, valve lash, Hose-PCV, Engine Mounts. 8 weeks later I take my Jeep in again for the exact same thing. Diagnosis: During inspection found cylinder #3 (AGAIN), and #5 (this time) with damaged intake rockers and camshaft. Rockers are dark in color, almost as if they are burnt/oil starved. Further inspection found that the exhaust rockers, which provide the lubrication for both the exhaust and intake camshaft, are full of fibers preventing the lubrication process. Removed oil filter and found “THE OIL FILTER IS SOURCE OF THE FIBERS”. Due to the catastrophic damage the entire motor needed to be replaced costing over $10,000 and they weren’t covering it under my LIFETIME MAXCARE WARRANTY. The Earnhardt service manager stated that I needed to talk to Valvoline because it was their aftermarket filter that caused the damage. Never acknowledging or taking accountability for the failed original repair 8 weeks earlier of course. I worked my way up the chain of command at Valvoline and the area manager went to speak with the Earnhardt service manager. The Earnhardt service manager told the Valvoline area manager the filter was of the wrong size (too long) and the filament came apart from the oil filter and led to the engine valves failing. The Valvoline area manager sent the filter to be tested at Champion Laboratories and returned with the following results: The filter is completely intact and dimensionally correct, there was no evidence of excessive pressure or of an interference fit, and the filter fit properly into the original manufacturers oil filter housing. I take the results of the lab test back to Earnhardt expecting them to take accountability for their misdiagnosis, failure to properly repair the original problem, and honor the Lifetime Maxcare warranty, but they doubled down on their lack of integrity. Now, they have decided to change their reason for denial to claim the damage is now caused by an “outside influence in the form of a foreign fibrous material not manufacturers defect.” This, I can only assume, is because a denial of a warranty claim based solely on the use of an aftermarket part, that has been disproven to be the cause of a problem, is a violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. The Earnhardt service department has demonstrated to me a complete lack of integrity, competence, and compassion. They quote Tex Earnhardt on their website as saying, “Treat everyone the way you would treat your mama!” If they treat their Mama’s this way they should be ashamed of themselves.

Best purchasing experience!

by Carmelita on 01/08/2022

I’m so fortunate to have had Paulie return my internet inquiry! He went way beyond what I’ve ever experienced at a dealership. He was knowledgeable and very communicative. He made the process so easy and comfortable. I feel like my experience was very personalized- he even sent me pictures before I went in, just to make sure that I was asking about the right vehicle. The finance portion was great with Richard as well- He took his time to answer all of my questions. Everyone I encountered at the dealership made sure to ask if I was doing ok and whether I needed any assistance. The entire process was quick and easy. My sales person had also followed up with me to make sure that I’m enjoying my new Jeep. I would encourage anyone who is looking to purchase a vehicle to go here and ask for Paulie!

Ram 2500 purchase

by Mark on 12/17/2021

In finding and buying a Ram 2500 I dealt with Paulie Terranova their Internet Sales Manager and it was a great experience. Very friendly and professional. not only during the sale but afterwards. He helped me with accessories and some stupidity on my side due to the excitement of buying it. I did not notice that the truck did not come with a fifth wheel kit when i go it home. So I called Paulie right away and he arranged for one to be put in the next day at no labor cost. I dropped it back off the day i purchased it and by 2:00 the next day it was ready to pick up all within 24 hours of purchase. The Parts and service departments rocked it out.

I brought my challenger in to get the air conditioner fixed. Big thanks to Josh who is in the service department for taking care of me. I like the waiting room comfortable seats. Josh came checked on me every 15 min and updated me on the status and if I was ok.

Horrible service!

by D Sebring on 08/10/2021

Horrible Service! Commercial settings pin on my 2018 ram 3500 that I bought used from York Dodge in 2019 was changed by previous owner and was not reset by selling dealer. Everything online indicated to take to any Dodge dealer and they will give you the pin for free. Not Earnhardt Dodge, they want to charge labor to give me the pin code to my own truck. Earnhardt’s solution was to either pay them or make the 4 hour round trip to York Dodge who will reset the pin for free. Service Manager Daryl is not customer first and does not follow the Earnhardt motto on the website to “Treat every customer like they are your mama” I’m sure if Tex Earnhardt’s mama needed the commercial settings pin Daryl would do it for free, but not for me.

Their NO BULL Approval is ALL BULL

by SCAMMED on 06/30/2021

Received an unsolicited "NO BULL APPROVAL" letter in the mail. Had $500 down and set my appt. I had to use that for bills, asked to reschedule when I had it saved up again and was told YOU ARE STILL APPROVED. Kept my appt only to sit there for three hours to be told "We won't have a decision for you today." Great. So thanks for wasting my money for a babysitter and for wasting my only day off. Lastly, no calls over the weekend just see a million hard checks going to my credit. No call Monday or Tues. I call only to be told by Tim " I'll see why someone hasn't contacted you." Next day I get a voicemail from someone completely different saying "Sorry we need $5K down." I'm sorry what??? So thanks again for wasting my money, time and making my credit worse. You didn't even have the decency to respond to me when I initially complained. Your service completely sucks, you are lying to people and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Absolutely DISGUSTING THAT YOU DO THIS FOR BUSINESS.

I had a great experience working with Michelle Tran And Kenny Parker! Michelle was very diligent in finding the best vehicle to best suit my needs. I was buying from out of town and was very surprised to be offered free delivery of my new Jeep almost 200 miles away. I would recommend this dealership based on my experience.

Repeated failure

by Dustin Krogstad on 09/14/2020

I have a brand new 2020 RAM 1500 Laramie that has now left the dealer un-safe to drive not once, but twice. First, my fiancé was on the side of the road after picking up the vehicle from service, and now once again my truck is undriveable after picking up from service for the second time. I am just lucky I was close to home when the air started leaking out of a different tire, which is the same reason she was left on the side of the road the night before. Earnhardt's service department is unfriendly, unprofessional, and horrible, if you can actually get someone to answer the phone. They are either dealing with unserviceable parts or the technicians are incompetent. Either way paying for a $50,000+ vehicle, purchasing additional aftermarket parts to be installed, and it being sent out twice unsafe to drive is completely intolerable. I have 10 times more miles on my vehicle going back and forth to the dealership for service issues than I bought the truck with, and now again it needs to go back. This is completely unacceptable. Plus, I bought the complete care package for this truck which from my understanding provides me with a loaner car whenever my truck is in the shop. When my truck was towed back to service after having the new wheels and tires installed, they told my fiancé they could not give her a loaner, because Chrysler did not approve the release of a loaner for certain circumstances. Complete care, my ass. Jason Southerland (inventory manager) and Ignacio (nacho) on the sales team were outstanding, I highly recommend them. As for the service department, I would take your vehicle elsewhere. Luke Morris, the parts & service director, walked us out to the truck to go over the repair following the add on install issue, which no one had done the first time we picked up, and had told us everything checked out and the truck was ready. Unfortunately, the truck was not 100% and now we have another flat tire, and need yet another repair, at a dealer 62 miles away that cannot be safely driven. Repeated calls to the service center are sent to voicemail, which they do not return the messages left. Stay away.

Best buying experience EVER!!!

by Dan on 10/04/2019

Has to be the best buying experience I have ever had with a dealership. Everyone is typically afraid of dealing with sales people as was myself because it’s not fun.. NOT IN THIS CASE!! Michelle Tran was the reason I bought my new 2019 Ram 2500 here. She was respectful, responded right away and had a no pressure mentality the whole time. My next vehicle will no doubt be bought from this place!! Everyone is so friendly and not to mention they had a wide selection to choose from. A++++++

Exceeds Customer Service!

by BHuett on 02/11/2019

Working with Justin and Thomas was a very quick and rewarding process. I submitted an inquiry and Thomas followed up quickly with my questions and to the point, after going in I worked with Justin who showed the vehicle and took us for a test drive. He was informative, knowledgeable and his customer service skills were beyond my expectations. Thomas and Justin worked with us to get a great deal and we were in and out with a New SUV within a couple hours. Thank you both so much for making this vehicle buying so easy! We will definitely be back and will be recommending everyone to come to you!
