Great dealership

Fantastic experience with Tim Cauthen and Brad Mulligan. I called Tim after 5:30 on a Monday evening. He and Brad called me back that night with an offer for my trade-in. My trade-in was picked up when my new truck was delivered - less than 36 hrs from my first call to Tim. I am hundreds of miles away in Mississippi and have never met Tim or Brad, but I got treated like an old friend.

Great Service

I recently took my class C motorhome into the Heavy Truck shop for service. This is my fourth visit and I have always been very pleased with the staff, the work performed, the fact that the vehicle was ready when promised. I really appreciate this shop and the work that they do. It is hard to find a servicing dealer for a motorhome, and these guys have always done a great job. I highly recommend this business.

Refused to Recognized Military Protection Laws

On July 31st, I called Long Lewis to schedule service for my vehicle’s A/C. They booked me for the next day and informed me that while they do not offer loners, they offer rentals. I was transferred to the rental dept where the lady I spoke with didn’t seem knowledgeable. After a frustrating back and forth conversation with her she became rude and gave up on her and had her send me back to the service dept to reschedule and allow me time to arrange my own rental. I was told that they would call me back to reschedule, but they never did. When I called back to get a new appointment the earliest available wasn’t for 2 weeks, Aug 14th. Secondly, Ford offers a pick-up option through Long Lewis that I decided to use. They were supposed to pick up the vehicle from my home where my wife would hand off the keys. I called on Aug 10th to schedule the pick-up. They took my info and told me someone would call me back to confirm. Once again, nobody called me back. I followed up on Aug 11th to find out they didn’t have anything in the system or a record of my call. I gave them my info a 2nd time and they told me someone would call me back to confirm. I called back a 3rd time on Monday Aug 14th (the day of my appointment) to find out that I was STILL not on the schedule for a pick up. I was told that diagnostics could take up to 3 days and they would call me once it was completed. I had to call them back after 4 days to discover that the diagnostics were completed “yesterday”. I finally spoke with Paige, who was actually helpful and informed me contrary to the rental dept, because my car was under warranty, I was indeed entitled to a 4 day rental. I decided to pick my car up and live without AC until my part came in and use the rental when my car was getting repaired. About a week later, on Aug 24th, I called to inquire about the part. They informed me that they still hadn’t received it but would look into it and call me back. No call back. On Aug 30th I called again to find out the part arrived “yesterday”. Maybe, but nobody called to let me know. Finally, I was able to schedule the repair for Sep 6th. On Sep 5th, I left work to drop off my car and pick up the rental. As a Member of the Air Force and an Indiana resident, there is a Military Extension Letter stating that “Indiana Code 9-24-12-6 provides that the driver’s license of any Indiana resident, serving in the US Armed Forces and residing outside Indiana, remains VALID for 90 days after discharge REGARDLESS of the expiration date of the license” (https://www.in.gov/bmv/licenses-permits-ids/files/MilitaryExtensionLetter.pdf). This means, that my Indiana driver’s license is VALID when presented with my military ID showing that I’m active duty. Yet as if they needed a grand finale of abysmal customer service, Long Lewis Ford REFUSED to rent me a car or even allow me as an authorized driver because they said my driver’s license was not valid. As a one car family, this meant my wife would need to drive me to and from work for the rest of the week. Every state is the US recognizes my license as valid including Alabama where I recently used it at the Dept of Revenue, Motor Vehicles Division (yes, the licensing agency in Alabama) to register my vehicle. Every rental company recognizes my License as valid and I’m quite positive even the Long Lewis Ford sales dept would recognize my license as valid if I were to test drive and purchase a vehicle. It is not uncommon for me to encounter a front-line worker unaware of the law, but it was definitely a first to explain this to 2 more levels of management, have them ignore government regs, call them “meaningless”, and to refuse to recognize the military protections put in place by the government. To say this was terrible customer service would be a significant understatement. I'm obviously done with Long Lewis Ford and will do my part to spread my story.

Great Truck Shop!

I have have the opportunity to visit the Long Lewis Ford of the River Region Heavy Truck Shop in Prattville Alabama on several occasions. I have had major repairs, warranty repairs/inspections, and routine maintenance. In each instance I have been completely satisfied with the work preformed. Amanda Danford does a great job of keeping customers informed about progress of the work and their techs work hard to get you on the road again when promised. This shop is a great asset it you own a motorized RV in the central Alabama area.

Had an awesome experience with getting my truck here. I made an inquiry online for a truck, and was contacted soon there after, Sales Agent J. Northington kept the doors open for me after their closing time, I wouldn't get home until after work and had to get someone to bring me to the dealership. The team there seemed to have a chemistry about them, Was treated friendly and like I was important to them. I would recommend Long Lewis Food River region to anyone.

What a great buyers experience

I had the best buyers experience at Long Lewis of the River Region. No haggling over price because they gave me their best price right up front. No ridiculous add ons like mop & slop, or tire treatments. Just plain old honest dealings with reputable people. Jacob was my salesperson and he was great to deal with in the process. He explained every feature of my new Explorer, made sure that I knew how to sync my phone to the vehicle and also every safety feature. I can not say enough good things about my buyers experience at Long Lewis. I am definitely sold on this dealership. I can not wait until my vehicles first service to see if their service department is as top notch as their sales department.

I've been buying cars from Long Lewis for the last 5 yers and I couldn't find a better bunch of knowledgeable people. I needed a dependable ride for my daughter to haul the grandkids around to school and cheer. Didn't have a lot of money, but they found me a dependable suv for her. I will continue to buy from them as long as they will allow me. My family also buys from them and wouldn't go any other place. Ya can't do wrong.

RV Owners take note

Long Lewis Ford in Prattville has invested in a Heavy Truck Shop that I have recently visited on two occasions. This shop is a godsend for RV owners in this part of the state. The staff and technicians are wonderful and Amanda will schedule your service or repairs and keep you in the loop on progress so that you can plan ahead for that next excursion. I happen to own a Ford chassis class C gasoline vehicle, but they offer services for diesel powered trucks and RV’s for all makes and models. If you have experienced difficulty finding a service facility for your truck or RV, do yourself a favor and give these guys a call. My experience has been great!

It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Long Lewis. I had been looking for an Infinity SUV for a few months. I would travel four hours, round trip to dealerships, only to get there and according to the salesperson “they had just sold the vehicle”. I started the process of purchasing a vehicle from Carvana and a salesperson from Long Lewis contacted me. The staff at Long Lewis was honest and upfront with me. I was able to purchase my car without having to come into the office. They delivered my care from Prattville to Selma free of charge. The next time I purchase a car I hope to use Long Lewis.

I recently had the opportunity to visit the new Long Lewis Prattville Heavy Truck Shop for service and a recall inspection on my 2021 Jayco Greyhawk motor home. Amanda was a pleasure to work with and the process was seamless. This shop is a Godsend for RV owners in this part of the state and I am glad this dealership had the vision to build the facility to meet a tremendous need in this part of Alabama.

Bought a new Expedition from Long Lewis in Prattville. We handled most of the transaction via phone/text, so when we got to the dealership, it went very smoothly. Everyone was friendly and professional and before we left the lot, we knew all the basics about the technology. Highly recommend this dealership!

We took our Ford Escape hybrid in, they ran the code, and said that one of the modules in the battery was bad. They didn't have any information on what module was bad or check anything else. Then, when we went to pick it up (same day), I waited for 30 minutes while they looked for the paperwork. They never found it, but still charged us $130 and gave us the same information AutoZone could've given us for free. But even AutoZone can give you a printout of the error at the end. I would NOT recommend going here for anything.

We had been searching for a truck for about a month visiting 3 local Ford dealers, calling dealers within 100 miles, and on the internet. We really didn't have any luck until we decided to stop at Long-Lewis Ford and speak will a sales rep. Bobby Brown did a fantastic job finding a truck (somewhere in Georgia) that met all of our requirements. We've purchased all but one of our vehicles at Long-Lewis Ford (and it's predecessor Gilmore Ford) since 1987. Good pricing and great people just have us coming back again and again.
