What’s new
The Grand Voyager sees a number of changes for 1994. On the outside, the vans have revised front and rear fascias, body-side molding and lower-body cladding. Inside, you'll find a new instrument panel, various revisions to the controls and a front-passenger seat that offers fore/aft adjustment. In addition, Plymouth has made improvements to sliding-door operation and the windshield wipers, and taken measures to reduce noise and vibration in the cabin. On the safety front, all vans get a standard passenger-side front airbag this year, along with side-impact beams that meet 1997 federal passenger car standards and asbestos-free brakes. Antilock brakes are now standard on all-wheel-drive models. In terms of performance, the 3.3-liter V6 benefits from additional horsepower (now up to 162) and torque (now up to 194). LE models can be optioned with a larger-displacement 3.8-liter V6, which offers just 162 hp but makes a healthy 213 pound-feet of torque. Remote keyless entry is now standard on the SE and LE and optional on the base model. The optional built-in child seats now have a recline feature to improve comfort when kids are sleeping.

Not the whole package

1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE 3dr Minivan
This is a well designed vehicle from a
comfort standpoint, but one with
engineering design and manufacturing
flaws that are exasperating. We had to
replace our transmission at about
40,000 miles. This has been a common
problem that Chrysler has never seemed
to fix. The paint peeled off of the
roof really early. Goop (too much
sealant) ran from the windows. Clothes …
hooks broke, the tape player broke; the
front speakers need to be replaced.
The remote entry devices in the door
broke. On and on. It made me worry
for Detroit's future against foreign
competitors.

1993 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 3dr Minivan AWD
This is the second AWD Plymouth Minivan that I"ve owned. The previous one a1991. It is too bad that Chrysler is no longer making AWD available on the 2005 models. These are excellent all weather vehicles and by far more useful than any SUV out there. I'm surprised the automotive press did not heap more praise on these totally capable vehicles. Besides the typical belts and hoses I've had … 50,000 miles of trouble free use and now have 158,000 miles on it. It will still make someone a good winter car as I'm replacing it with a'97 Town & Country LXI AWD with less miles. The major design flaw was the rear heater tubes that rust out. I replaced them twice.

1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager LE 3dr Minivan
My v6 Voyager has 90,000+ and is the most reliable auto I've owned. I love all the travel accessories and the ride is excellent. Gas mileage is not as good as I would have liked but not bad either. Only complaint is it seems to go thru tires quickly. No repairs just maintance items so far.

1993 Plymouth Grand Voyager SE 3dr Minivan
This van has 179K miles on it and is still going. We've done expected repairs and replacements on it, nothing too extensive (rebuilt transmission right after purchase, that was the most expensive). Way more comfortable than new minivans we've rented to take a couple of trips. Heater never has worked well, which is a pain if you're driving in winter at night (takes 30 minutes to warm … up!). A/C only blows from the dash, so back of car can get pretty warm in summer. We will drive this until it DIES.
We have a limited number of reviews for the 1994 Plymouth Grand Voyager, so we've included reviews for other years of the Grand Voyager since its last redesign.
