Loving my 2016 XC90!!

by sjk1979 on 03/07/2016

Ordered my 2016 XC90 through Ontario Volvo in October from over seas. The car arrived almost exactly 90 days later as expected. Took delivery of the vehicle early January. Everything looked even better then I had anticipated. I truly love this car!!!! I have now had it for two months and am still 110% satisfied with my purchase. As for the sales team they went above and beyond to make sure that there wasnt any questions about the car that were not answered and demonstrated and that I was fully happy with the choices that we had made when ordering. This car sells itself in my opinion but the sales team at Ontario Volvo made my experience pain free and exciting!!!! I do believe that I will forever be a Volvo owner and that any of my future purchases will be with Ontario Volvo. If you are thinking about buying a new or used Volvo these are your guys!!!!!

A good, honest sales team

by R_Antoine on 11/08/2015

I ordered a new, 2016 XC90 at the beginning of August, 2015. The process wasn't trouble-free as the delivery date from the factory was switched from November 5th to December 18th in the middle of October. A call to Volvo North America confirmed that it was a factory caused delay. Once I explained that I couldn't wait that long, the sales team at Ontario Volvo went to work to find a nearly identical car for me although it had two extra options that weren't important to me--the upgraded stereo system and a factory installed child booster seat. They stood behind the sale and worked hard to make the price fit my budget. They couldn't "throw the options in", and I didn't see that this would have been a reasonable request, but they did however take a good amount of money off the sale price to keep the price close and make it fit my budget. The sales process was a bit "old school" with the sales rep working between the client and the sales manager (with the standard commentary as well) but I felt they were sincerely interested in completing the transaction fairly and honestly. When the alternate vehicle arrived, they installed an official Volvo trailer hitch for me and had everything ready to complete the transaction--on November 5th, the original planned delivery date. When I picked up the vehicle, there was a problem with the key fob when they showed me how to open it to remove the emergency, metal key--it broke. However, it's going to be fixed under the warranty. Everything else was perfect, including the hitch installation which requires a modification to the rear bumper cover, per the factory defined process. Overall I'm very pleased with the sales team and this transaction and I won't hesitate to return.

Rude

by grockpilot on 07/17/2008

Finance Dept. loves to hassle you and is extremely rude. I called to get more information on an incentive program that Volvo was offering. I needed more details and this guy was obviously just trying to get me to show up to the dealership. I was still doing research and wanted to see the best deal I could get with manufacturer incentives. Simple questions that a dealer should be willing to give out without any problems. Now, I understand that they want/need customers (especially in this economy) but people don't like getting pushed around and hassled and treated like crap. He gave me hard time for not giving my phone number. I've been a fool before and given dealerships my phone number and they've constantly called me back to get me to come in - unnecessary pressure that I didn't want. So, from my experiences, I didn't want to. He kept hassle me to give my number, using excuses like "in case we get disconnected" and "for our phone call records." I've had those two excuses used on me before from other dealers and dealers of other manufacturers. So after I kept saying no (and btw, I was not being curt - just trying to say no as nice as possible - I even explained my past experiences), he finally says, "Oh, so you're just going to get information from me but you're not willing to give me yours?" and puts me on hold. I just hung up, flabbergasted and very upset. I wanted to say, "Yes, as a dealership who is to serve and not screw the public, you will give me the information I need to make a good judgement call." Sad to say, its just not like that - heck, they didn't even try to fake it. You would think that in this economy when car sales are hurting that they'd try to make themselves seem like they're trying to help the consumer. I should have just hung up after the hassling started. Glad to say, some other dealership will be benefiting from a S40 sale.
