Dont trust the website price

My husband and I have been looking online for a good deal on a SUV. We found one for a 2014 Toyota Venza XLE V6 AWD on their website for 22,865. We made a trip to Cloninger Toyota to get a better look at the SUV. We live about 100 mile away from there so we went with the indentation of really checking it out. We have bought a car from Cloninger Ford and know even if you call to let them know your headed down to look at something your not guaranteed anything regarding the one you call about. When we got their we were looking around at different cars and SUV's and found the Venza. I don't trust pictures when it comes to the body of cars due the reflection they put off. The Venza being used we knew would have some scratches and ding. An it did which wasn't a big deal. When the sale person opened it up for us that was another story. It was covered in long black 'what we hope' was dog fur. It was in in every crack and crevasse we looked in. We own pets and know you can vacuum that out. We do our regular thing of looking how things work, under the hood, and lifted the hatch mat to see if it has a full size or small spare tire. There was some kind of detail kit left under there that had leaked. We kept telling ourselves this can be fixed. We then looked at the tires and knew they would need to be replaced. We took it for a test drive an when we get back my husband tells the sales person to give him the best price. Told the sales person we would not be trading anything in and wanted the cash price.We walked in to see what price he would come back with and what he came back with was complete BS. A SUV that was listed on theirs and other websites he had marked up 6,000 dollars !!!! My husband and I see the price and then shows the sales person their own website and the price listed. The sales person said " I didn't know ya'll had seen the website and that price is just to get ya'll to come in". They wanted to charge for things that already came on the SUV. They wanted 28,600 something for a 5 year old SUV they had listed for 22,865. My husband was so mad he was shaking and he is pretty claim person. We went straight over to the Ford office to speak to a manger and the sales manger from the Toyota office come running over where we were to get my husband to come back. My husband told him no and got in our car to leave and the manger was yelling some very rude things. We will not be going back.

We went in to Toyota to buy a new car and it was a good experience Mr. Adames was very kind and helpful. He answered all the questions we had or any concerns we had. I recently was in a bad car accident and looking to replace my Nissan Titan with another Nissan Titan. After calling many dealerships, I decided to take a trip to Salisbury, NC. I pulled into the Toyota dealership looking for a Toyota Tacoma XSP-X after one caught my eye on the highway. Shawn B met my husband and I and advised that he did not have one but had a Toyota Tundra XSP-X he could show us. My husband fell in love, however I thought it was too big! Shawn was a no-pressure saleman, something I had never encountered before. He never even asked for my phone #. I told him we were shopping around. He gave me his card and said, "if you like the truck and and you like me, you will be back." After a trip to the Nissan dealership, 2 hours of wasted time, and a horrible experience, he was right!! We were back. I asked him if he would just open the truck so I could see inside. He was happy to do so, even though it was going on 8pm and time for him to go home. He took the time to explain all the features of the vehicle, inside and out. He was even willing to stay later to let me test drive it, however I did not want to keep him later than we already had on a Friday night. I told him I would be back the next day. The next day, he called (phone # on the credit application) and I was able to negotiate from my house. Shawn was still not pushy in trying to make a sale. He knew where our price point and payment needed to be. When we came up with a price and payment I could live with, I drove down and test drove the truck and fell in love. We were at the dealership signing the paperwork for maybe an hour and a 1/2. All other car buying experiences have been an all day experience. Shawn B has changed my views of the car buying experience, as well as my mothers. I will definitely use him again for my next car and refer anyone looking to him. He put me in a vehicle I feel safe driving again!! I love my new truck!! Thanks Shawn!! Your the Best!

Very smooth, "no-hassle" process. 1. Got a price from several dealers over the Internet 2. Talked to Lia C at Cloninger 3. Compared prices with other dealers (Lia's price was the best) 4. Lia found me the exact car I wanted and we agreed on price over the phone 5. I drove to the dealership, paid for the car, and was done in under an hour I have bought 3 new cars over the past 3 years so I knew what to expect. However, Lia and Cloninger really EXCEEDED my expectations in the following ways: 1) Lia was very genuine and didn't try to "sell" me 2) None of the usual "let me talk to my manager" games 3) Didn't try and push any extras on me 4) Staff (Randy) was very patient with my elderly parents questions and was genuinely helpful 5) Lia didn't talk negatively about other dealerships, she told me she would get me the best price and she lived up to her word.
