The mechanic took my car for a joyride

The Mechanic drove my car hard on test drive! I had a transmission and rear differential fluid exchange as well as a rotate and balance done. Afterward the mechanic took my car for a joyride for 6 miles on cold engine and drove it hard enough to hit peak boost at 21.4 psi. I had taken note that it was 17.9 psi prior. I used to be an automotive mechanic and know sometimes this happens with an unprofessional tech. I reported this to the service manager and while she did say she would talk with the mechanic about it so it doesnt happen again, she proceeded to try to disregard my concerns about my engines wear and tear from it by saying that it was made for that... She also tried to sweep it under the rug by saying that the car didnt have to be under wide open throttle (or close to it) to hit the max boost the turbo is capable of. Also that the car can only make peak boost in 5th gear. Both of which are completely wrong statements. Likely I would have been fine after cooling off with knowing the mechanic would be talked to about that but the way the service manager tried to blow off my concerns about it, tried to protect the mechanic with false information about it, and that either way it shouldnt matter because "the engine is made for that" was enraging and I will not be returning to this Subaru in the future nor will I ever recommend service there. As a side note, the work that was done so far appears to be fine but as soon and I get a chance, I will be checking on that, too. I hope this review helps people to know this can happen with their cars as well. Fortunantly the WRX has a recordable peak boost reading that you can reset and watch so I was able to know what happened.

No pressure knowledgeable salesmen. Through walkthrough of vehicle features. Office staff great as well. All and all a pleasurable experience. I highly recommend the dealership.

2013 Suburu Impreza has problems that are being ignored by dealer

Purchased my 2013 impreza late spring and it has had numerous issues. The dealer was helpful up until the end. The car has serious AWD problems which the servie department at Holgren recognized, tried to work with Subaru engineering has insisted there are no problems and that it is normal for a suburu to slide down a hill 30 feet backwards to protect the AWD system and is to Suburu specification, then the dealer folded their position that they would make it right. They said they would give me a good deal on a new vehicle if engineering did not come through, but in the end gave me no good deal just alot of stress and a huge payment on a new vehicle which I did not accept. The AWD disengages in the vehicle when it goes up a hill that has some snow on it, it then slips backwards down the hill. This is a serious safety issue which they have choosen to ignore at the cost of my safety. The service department tried to do what they could but in the end it was the management that decided to not honor any type of customer commitment. So Holgren Subaru has lost a customer for life and I will be sure to let everyone I know this fact.
