So you hear the horror stories of going to the Big Dealers in town and being just another number to them, people always recommend you go to the smaller guys on the outskirts of San Antonio for good customer service-WRONG!!!! We tried exactly that by visiting Atascosa Chrys Dodge-Jeep Dealer in Pleasanton. Spoke to their salesman (and unfortunately this website does not allow using personal names ) but I guarantee it will be disclosed when demanding them to the BBB and other resources we have looked at. Our first incident with this dealer was a phone call to Pleasanton- It was made very clear to this [violative content deleted] salesguy "we are looking for a used 2007-2008 Dodge Diesel Dually" willing to pay no more than "set amount" the salesman jumped quickly to add that not only could he meet that price he would also throw in a grill for the truck etc. .....he went on to add if we made the trip now he had two trucks sitting there one in Black and one in Silver- the silver was priced best and very cheap- so believing there was such a truck we take an hour drive downthere to look at the Silver truck- he walks out and states " Oh sorry ,we just sold it, another salesman had it promised to someone else and sold". I was irate for the fact that he knew we were on our way to see what he promised,drove for one hour and he never bothered to call us to advise us it was sold -so that we could decide if we wanted to turn back or come on in. This was a sales tactic used by this salesman, I am willing to bet there was no such truck -at such price. He said "oh but look over here I have a nice black 2008 priced a little higher but we can negotiate" He gave me a price that was a little higher than I was willing to pay so I said let me think about it and left. I was irate because I felt I was lied to just to get us to make the trip. He called for the next couple of days and said I have talked to the sales manager and we have negotiated the price on that Black truck and it is yours for that price if you hurry downhere. I said o.k. then we will be downthere to sign the paperwork but are you sure you have the price approved and truck ready because afterall this is an hour drive for the family and I. Boy!!!! there was no other option but to believe him he sounded very sincere " he said I need you and your family to come down now before 5pm because it is Friday and we are wanting to leave early, My wife left work early and cancelled an appointment with my daughter because they were waiting on us. We got there at 4:30pm and the saleman was no where to be found, they had us sitting in the break room for almost 1.50 hours finally a sales mgr came up and said oh sorry you all are next they will be right with you, I tried calling the salesman and of course he came up with a story that he was delivering another vehichle but to hang tight was approx 15 min away. Finally the finance guy called us in and went over the paperwork with us - with a different price than this guy told us -by then I knew it was lie after lie from this dealership and salesguy-the Mgr came in and said I am not going to honor the price that he negotiated with you, we said "what!!! we have been sitting here for two hours and now you are just starting to negotiate" i told the mrg to get the saleman on the phone now -he said he would not because it did not matter what he said or who he got it approved through bottom line he would not do it. As you can imagine by this we are hot and irate because of the games they were playing with our family, we had not had dinner because they asked that we hurry down before 5pm when they close at 7, our salesman did not show up for the sale, no one knew who he negotiated with, the truck was dirty, no gas, never submitted to make ready. We walked out with one apology and along with it the mrg added-we will not honor what the salesman promised. We drove off the car lot headed home when the salesman finally answers acting like nothing had happen
