In late 2013, we purchased a 2005 Laredo with just over 100K miles, represented to us as a one owner vehicle. Due to a series of issues with the vehicle, we were told by Jeep corporate that there had in fact been two previous owners. The vehicle also had been rewired to bypass a defective front control module, additionally stop leak had been used to cover up a leaking radiator core. We spent almost $2000 on the control module, we can't afford the $2000 to repair the heater core so the colder it gets the less we can drive it because the windshield and door windows fog up. We know from Jeep corporate they misrepresented the number of owners, however it looks like we'll have to go to court and subpoena the two previous owners to find out who rigged the problems with the FCM and heater core to hide them.
