onI purchased a 2012 Dodge Charger R/T Max AWD on 9/19/2014 from Secor Dodge in New London, CT. At the time of purchase, I was advised by salesman Al Morse that the vehicle had been traded by first owner because they wanted a new Charger and that the vehicle had no prior problems or damages. Acting in reliance upon these representations, I then purchased vehicle as stated. Earlier this month I had occasion to purchase a Carfax report on this vehicle after a Carfax valuation reported accidents/damages (2) occurring in 2013. Quite a surprise. I then received and reviewed the Carfax report. Carfax then, at my request, researched and found no error in its report. Contacted Secor Dodge and they stated that although they were the original dealer, performed over 2 years of service on it, took it back in trade and prepared it for resale, they had no idea that there had been any damage to this vehicle prior to its sale to me. I would not have looked twice at this vehicle if its true history had been disclosed, let alone pay over 30K for it. Subsequent to the report, I contacted Secor Dodge regarding this issue via its sales manager, J. McCarthy. After he disclosed that the prior owner had allegedly disclosed some accident history, all meaningful contact ceased. McCarthy has since claimed that the salesman that I dealt with, Al Morse, was away on vacation and couldnt be contacted and, then, about ten days ago, that the dealerships owner is now away and, you guessed it, unavailable for discussing this matter. Appears that this dealership is not trustworthy. Be wary of their claims should you have to deal with them.
