Abusive and Harassing

I wrote a poor review of Route 46 Nissan on Google, Yelp, and Facebook after receiving insufficient help after dealing with faulty car parts. I received a harassing and abusing email from BRETT SCHELLHAMER at Route 46 Nissan. . He calls me a "CRACKHEAD", a "NUTJOB" and admits to taking advantage of me financially. Brett is a car salesman. I spoke to Nissan Corporate offices in regards to this email. I was told that Nissan Corporate does not have jurisdiction over the salespeople at the dealerships, but I should "go in person and speak to the general manager, Mike Cibellis". I went to Route 46 Nissan to discuss this email with the manager, Michael Cibellis. He thought the email was "pathetic" and would ask Brett if he did indeed send this email. Cibellis also suggested someone online could be messing with me. I told Mr. Cibellis that the email address that this email was sent to is my private email. I only use it for the purposes of banking, taxes, cars, etc. It is not public record ANYWHERE, and only Brett would have access to it since he sold me my car. Mr. Cibellis asked for more time with the matter, explaining that he was trying to get me "good will money" from Nissan Corporate. He does not mention the email at all. I reply asking about the email, he NEVER responds. Mr. Cibellis emails me to explain that Nissan will not offer me any good will money. He also confirms Brett wrote the email and justify's Brett's behavior by explaining "He was extremely upset and ticked off". I am MORTIFIED at this behavior. At the end of the email Mr. Cibellis has the audacity to try to sell me another car. Moving forward, I've been in touch with TWO other consumers who have been harassed and abused online by Mr. Cibellis and other car salesman at Route 46 Nissan. It seems that bullying people into buying cars is how they do business. I will urge the other woman to file complaints as well. The ONLY inkling of positive customer service is in the service department. Scott and Lou were kind and tried to help me to the best of their ability.

Unprofessional

I will provide descriptors and save the narrative as it was such a negative experience from beginning to end. Fully aware of what should take place during the continuum of transactions having purchased 3 autos by myself previously, hereto is what I witnessed of my sale: unprofessional finance team; compromised integrity; lack of compassion; impolite; false misrepresentations.

They tried to sell me a car that they wanted, not what I wanted. When I asked the salesman for my application and paperwork, he told with egos like that, that's why he left banking. Terrible salesmen.

Severe integrity issue? You decide.

Severe integrity issues, you decide? Spoke to internet sales department salesperson -Rudy, discussed exactly the car down to the Vehicle Identification Number they had in their inventory. Told him what I needed in lease terms- 0 down, put the tax, title, inception fees, Motor vehicle fees, and any other fees they had into the lease payment. I would put nothing down, everything, in the monthly payments. I stated these conditions 3 times and had him repeat the terms to me, with my wife there on speaker phone. He said he would get the best price he could and call me back. I told him if the monthly rate was good I would come down today and purchase. Rudy called me back and said he talked to his manager, I believe his name was Mike, and he confirmed the deal, all fees, motor vehicle and taxes in a $209 a monthly payment. I again clarified the deal with him to make it crystal clear, and again. He said his manager signed off on it exactly as described and not to worry. He confirmed again. He said I could come down at 5:00pm, that I had an appointment with “Jimmy”, he would take care of the paperwork. I took my 17 year old daughter, who the car is for, and met Jimmy who didn’t have a clue and handed me off to Joseph D. Joseph D. looked me up in their computer system, saw the VIN of the car and the note that Rudy and his manager gave me. Joseph continued to ask me questions pretending not to know anything about the deal, even though it was noted right on his computer screen. The VIN, the $209 a month and the zero money down, all notes on his screen. Joseph went to check with his manager, came back and said they can do the $209 but I had to pay all the fees, the Tax and moter vehicle up front, extra. In shock, I continued to voice that that was not the deal that another manager signed off on, that I agreed to and came down for. After four back and forths to a back room they said they could do $222 a month and I had to pay moter vehicle and tax. My 17 year old daughter turned to me and said “Dad, we learned about this in school it’s called an integrity issue”. Shame on this dealership. Pretty bad when a 17 year child can see through the BS. Rudy, Jimmy, Joseph D. and Mike, God bless you and may someday you find your way.

BEWARE!!! They intentionally defraud you if you are not prepared. I recently leased a 2018 Rogue SV from Rt. 46 Nissan. We agreed upon a discount of 2600 off of the MSRP of $30,700 and I would put $4000 down plus taxes, Fees and First payment. When I got home, and after I signed the lease, I noticed that they raised the agreed upon sales price of the car (Capitalized cost) by over $4000. This means that Instead of my down payment going towards the total lease amount, it went into their pocket as profit. When I called to discuss I was told to come in and so far, was only offered half of the promised discount back. I was told that the next steps would be court and it would be cost prohibitive to do so. I am planning on contacting the dealership owners tomorrow to see exactly how much they were told by their sales manager as they are the ones who do not want to honor the full discount. Fact of the matter is that this is a common scam, and if I happened to catch it in the finance managers office, they would have most likely said it was an error and fixed it. But they now have the upper hand since I signed the contract. We will see what happens next.

My experience at the route 46 Nissan dealership is one that I will always remember. Rick Torres and Jesse Moritz really went above and beyond to help me get the car that I’ve been wanting. The service was like no other. They worked with me to get to a price that would work for me. They got me a deal that I couldn’t say no to. The professionalism was at the top. They both dedicated their time to make sure that I walk away happy. Thank you guys for everything!

Very disappointed

Please buy all means stay away from this car dealership. I wish I had read some these reviews. The price I saw for the car on the internet was different when the sales guy show me on his screen. The price we discussed double by time we get to the finance guy. The finance did not discussed other fees, which turn out to be thousands of dollars. Please beware!!!

Worse dealership ever! Stay away!

I would like to give negative rating but unfortunately, this was not an option. Everything went downhill after I purchased brand new car from Route 46 Nissan dealership. They delivered the car to my house but did not paid the EZPass toll of $0.50 cents and I got the bill of $50.50. I went to this dealership and was assured from dealership manager that he will take care of this and that i do not need to pay. Instead 5 weeks later, i recieved overdue bill from EZPass requesting the payment. Reached out to him as he asked me to do if I have any issues, left him voice mail as well as email, no reply. Spoke to multiple people in the dealership, no reply. Reached out to Frank Tuckett VP of this dealership, no reply. Not only they ignored the issue that they caused, I got a defected navigation system in brand new car that I was requested by this service department to video record while I am driving since they could not figure it out. Horrible dealership! Stay away. All talk and do not deliver the service they claim they do.

Let me start by saying stay away from this dealership the general manager is terrible, he ended up getting into an argument with me because i did not want to purchase a vechicle we had been there for 3 hours with my pregnant fiance prices were not what was discussed bottom line and we needed to think about it, he was trying to pressure us to sign the papers and being verbally combative.the manager in fiance came to disclose a deal and was eating chicken unprofessional please go to the mitsubishi dealership next year and receive world class service

Bad experience

A friend of mine took me to rt 46 Nissan since he leases his car there. I wanted to lease a altima however they show me the wrong trim model. The sales guy was trying to use the hurry up tactics. Making strange faces for every question. Mentioning he wanted to leave that he was tired.

Poor customer service

Salesman made promises about the leased car I was turning in that he could not fulfill. Ended up paying more for turning in my car then originally agreed to with salesman. Once I received my car, it took almost 2 months to receive my title and plates. They were ready in two weeks, but no one there called me. Reached out to my sales on 5 different instances. 3 voicemails left with no call back. 1 call saying he would call back with more information that never came, and then finally progress when I said I wanted to speak with manager. Avoid salesman Joseph Daoud at all costs. He makes promises he can't fulfill and doesn't return calls or messages.

Total Ripoff

It was a total disappointment at the Route 46 Nissan. I negotiated for a price of 19K as per the True Car certificate I got from my company's corporate perks website and I expected the sales and finance managers there to be truthful and singed the lease, only to realize later that the actual price on the lease was 23K. I was so pressured in to the deal stating I would be getting the best deal ever and I was kept there for total 6 hours and that was one other reason to miss every fine detail. I contacted the sales and finance managers on the very next business day hoping that they would help me at least cancel the lease or do something about the rebate I should be getting. They basically said "Go and drive your car". An example to the kind of shady deals they make with customers is that, Finance manager forced me to take gap insurance which by default is included in all Nissan infinity leases. When I asked about the same on the next day (because I wasn't aware of it at the time of taking lease, neither was I informed) they said it's "Gap Wrap"!!!. Why would I take wrap when the GAP already exists!! I filed a complaint with better business bureau. Looking at the latest complaints there seems I am not the only one ripped off like this. [non-permissible content removed] - Buyer Beware. This dealership does not honor the Guaranteed Price Savings Certificate from TrueCar. The salesperson, Rick Torres, was great. The sales managers, Schuyler Miller and Jesse Moritz, were extremely unprofessional and tried to add several thousand dollars to the price. When I requested their business cards, Jesse Moritz gave me a business card of an employee that hasn't worked there in months. The stupid part is the cell number was on the card and I spoke to this person who is now taking legal action. Schuyler told me that he doesn't have business cards.

Superior Sales and Customer Service!

My experience at Route 46 Nissan was very amazing. I walked in just to get some information about some cars I had been looking into. While me and my wife were looking around looking at cars a very friendly guy approached us with a very good vibe that I felt from the jump asking us if we need help. After taking a look around and figuring out the car I wanted, he took us to his desk and gave us an amazing information about what was the better, most convenient options for us. Once we check out my budget and credit score, he worked with me and really gave me an amazing deal! I was so exited! Sean was so informative I couldn't have found the better sales person to sell me this car. I am so thankful foe every thing he did for us. THANK YOU SO MUCH SEAN!!!!!!!!! I ENCOURAGE EVERYBODY TO VISIT ROUTE 46 NISSAN AND COME IN ASKING FOR SEAN SHERIDAN. I'll definitely be back when its time to buy my son a car which is right around the corner.
