Great experience

This dealership is great. Purchased a new outlander. No pressure from salesperson, in fact had to call him back. Gave me the bottom line early on, so that I could get on with my life. Very impressed. To the other reviewer posting a bad experience. Come on, anyone who actually drives 3 hours hours in a rental car to pick up a used car....I have to question. You should have known better. Would you have that same philisophy with a used couch? Rent a pick up truck to go and pick it up? I called a dealership myself that was 2 hours away. Told the sales guy that if the used vehicle I was considering had been smoked in there was no way I would take it. He replied that he gaurunteed it had not been smoked in. Hung up, immediately dialed back to get another salesperson. Asked her the same question...she went out while on the phone, got in the car and told me that it was obvious to her and her sensitive nose that it had been smoked in. You have to doublecheck everything! It is up to the buyer to do some fact checking and doublechecking! Are you kidding you would rent a car and drive 3 hours without doing some doublechecking! You are dealing with salespeople afterall!

HORRIBLE!

My husband found a vehicle online that fit our criteria. When he called Dorsett, they assured us it was "spotless," "in perfect condition," "looks like it was never used." My husband explained we would be driving down from Fort Wayne, over 3 hours away, and we were very interested in this vehicle. The salesman promised us it was perfect, flawless, and would be ready for us to buy. We talked about financing, made our deal, and told the salesman we would be down the next day. My husband rented a vehicle one-way and drove down the following day. When he got there, the salesman was too busy to talk to him. So he dealt with the sales manager. He looked at the vehicle, which was dirty on the inside, had dog hair in the back seat, and had a sensor that was on when the car started. The sales manager assured him it wasn't on the previous day when they started the vehicle. And the "Navigation System" that was listed as being in this vehicle didn't have the disc needed to run it. Therefore, there was a $400 disc that we would have to buy to make the navigation system operable. NONE of this was mentioned to us on the phone. My husband was understandably upset about everything. He talked to the sales manager, explained he had rented a vehicle with the intention of buying this vehicle due to how it was portrayed to us, etc. The sales manager shrugged and said "that's just the cost of doing business." My husband had to get another salesman, Steven, to drive him to the only rental place that was still open, which was a Penske, so he could rent a moving truck to get home. Luckily, the Penske guy opened their car rental just for him so he could get home, otherwise he would've been stranded 3 hours from home. Steven helped him and apologized, but the damage was already done. When I called to talk to the sales manager, he said the vehicle was "clean enough for most people," just not my husband. I said there was dog hair in the back, who would find that clean? The sales manager offered no apologies, and refused to discuss taking the price any lower for our extreme inconvenience (not that we would have bought a stick of gum from him at this point). THIS IS A TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP! They lied to get us there, and refused to fix anything that was wrong with the vehicle we had agreed to purchase, had it been in the condition it was promised to us. If you HAVE to buy a vehicle here, go through Steven. He was ashamed at how it was handled for us, and seems to be the only decent guy there.
