Bountiful Mazda Really Cared

by Ashman86 on 06/06/2014

Bountiful Mazda made my wife's and my first car-shopping experience really terrific. They were patient, willing to work with us on the features and price we needed, and, most importantly, they listened to us.

Excellent Service

by jamesshijie on 05/20/2014

Seriously got an awesome deal on my new Mazda 3, with no sales gimmicks. It was awesome. If all dealerships were like this, people would NEVER be nervous to buy a car. Awesome people there doing honest work. Did I mention it was awesome? Well it was. Highly recommend these guys.

Great experience

by gpm1 on 05/19/2014

In 2010 after leaving Dahle Mazdz in Murray filled with lies and high pressure from Mr B, I Ventured to Bountiful Mazda and purchased a new Mazda CX7. I have had outstanding service from the service department for the past four years, so when looking to trade the CX7 I returned to Bountiful Mazda knowing it would be a great experience. I met with Tyler F and explained that I was not interested in the sales games that most dealers seem to play. Tyler and the entire staff was very helpful with no high pressure No meeting with the manager back and forth making another car purchase very enjoyable. NO LIES from the staff imagine that!! Thanks Tyler for keeping the no game promise. Guy M

A beautiful place to buy a beautiful car!

by workingmom6 on 04/14/2014

I recently purchased my 2nd Mazda from Bountiful Mazda. I was treated honestly and with respect and given a great deal on my trade in. The sales department was not pushy or overbearing. The tires for life program was been a great benefit and the service department has given me great service to maintain my previous vehicle.

Very Pleased and Impressed with Bountiful Mazda

by nrthface on 03/29/2014

First time car buying experience was made not only comfortable , but also possible by Tim M. He helped get us into the car we wanted, and that wasn't an easy thing to do. He answered a barrage of questions and if he didn't know he didn't fake it, he took the time to find out. He was fair and kind. That's saying a lot he is a car salesman. Seriously though we would recommend Tim and Bountiful Mazda to anyone. Thanks again Tim and staff.

Tyler F

It was a very good experience buying our car. Tyler was just the perfect amount of pushy when helping us to decide. Unlike other car salesmen he made the experience personable and made it feel less stressful .

Bountiful Mazda, FTW!

by gregyweggs on 03/06/2014

Having just come from the Toyota dealership up the road (where the sales people swarmed my vehicle before I'd even put it in park), the folks at Bountiful Mazda were a breath of fresh air. The guys who helped me (Jake, John, and Patrick) were all very polite and not pushy in the least. They showed me only what I asked to see and didn't try to rush me or show me cars I wasn't interested in. Excellent listeners. I ended up going with a new 2014 Mazda Hatchback and have loved the car so far. If my experiences with their service department are as good as they have been with sales, Bountiful Mazda will have my business for a very long time.

2010 Mazda3 i Touring

by tswac3 on 02/09/2014

Patrick was great in helping me buy my certified pre-owned Mazda3 I Touring, I had submitted an application the night before and received a phone call the next morning. I told Patrick that I was looking at this car but my credit would be a concern. I set up an appointment to meet with him and to take a look at the vehicle, by the end of the day Bountiful Mazda was able to get me approved on a good APR given my credit rating and I was able to drive away in my new Mazda, I would recommend these guys to anyone!

Car Buying Experience from Bountiful Mazda

by bandito1 on 01/10/2014

My wife and I just purchased a new 2014 Mazda CX-5 from Bountiful Mazda. This is the third vehicle we have purchased from this dealership and there is a reason we keep going back. In business, I've always believed that the culture of any Company is defined and exhibited by top Management and permeates through the entire organization. In our experiences at Bountiful Mazda, we have found every single individual with whom we have dealt to be friendly, transparent, helpful, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. We have not experienced any of the hard sell pressure or bait and switch tactics we have felt from other dealers in the past. We do not feel that we have overpaid for any vehicle purchased from this Dealer and we haven't had to fight to get a decent price. These folks sell a quality product and they do it the right way. To Karl N, Garry H, and Scott M: Thanks for treating us the way a customer should be treated. You guys are great! Respectfully, Michael and Sheila F

2014 Mazda 3i Touring in white

by Essais on 12/14/2013

My wife and I found the car to buy yesterday and completed the transaction late last night. I drove home our new white Mazda 3i Touring very late in the evening. Thanks greatly to Jake H, (congrats for the twinning -- what a man), who sat though test drives of sedan and hatchback, and hoofed along for the benefit of Patrick W, who swooped in for the prize. (Some swoop, Patrick. We came to buy.) My previous car was a 2006 M3i Touring, and my wife's was a 2007 M3i Touring, both bought in Memphis. For this reason, our choice was biased from the start, as I described to the Ford Focus dealer we visited also. Each Mazda has given us over 80,000 miles without the need for services beyond oil and filter changes. (Okay, we blew out the rear struts on the 2007 towing a tongue-heavy trailer.) Each M3 has a proven value, both by their simple interior arrangements (some might say ‘spartan’) and by their tight handling performance and truly astonishing gas mileage (in Summer, we’ve both easily exceeded 40 mpg, and in Winter we both averaged over 34 mpg). The new Mazda appears to carry these features as well, providing a feeling of openness inside that we value greatly, while providing semi-stiff seats and a tight shifting response that keeps the car alive to the touch. Finally, during my 200+ mile return northward from Bountiful in 20-degree cold, the trip computer showed an average of 42 mpg, although I varied the RPM up and down every 10 minutes at speeds between 60 and 80 mph. (Note that the trip computer nearly always showed a 5% positive mileage estimate on our other cars.) Regarding the Ford Focus offering. When we departed their lot, I had convinced my wife that the Focus hatchback was a serious challenger to our preconceptions for our next car. The white 5-door we drove was quite plainly excellent, though they had no manual transmission trim to drive, and I now understand how the consumer feedback ratings for the Focus on Edmunds and others (cars.com and carsconnection.com come to mind) have equaled and now exceeded the Mazda 3 ratings. We noted that the interior space of the 5-door Focus felt better than in the 4-door Focus (as yet unexplained, but likely due to leather seats), and the traction control and driving feel was at least equal to our best experiences. The Focus selection of trims and options within each trim was all we could expect (though automobile entertainment systems in Ford, Mazda, and most other brands have far exceeded in their advertisement and price the value we gain as individual drivers since we passed our mid-thirties). And finally, both the dealer's post-drive e-mail offering and next-day sweetened offering were truly tempting – surprisingly tempting both to myself and to my wife. Regarding Jake and Patrick's kindness and consideration to our needs at the dealership, I was pleasingly surprised to find that both fellows listened to our needs for information and hands-on experience rather than guiding us through a marketing rose garden. I had researched the vehicle features and benefits reasonably well before arriving, as I suspect many people in the market segment that can work a keyboard will dobe, and I could have answered as many of the reps' questions about the car as they answered of my own questions. I needed a representative who could describe the availability of model features and lead times required for the specific combinations of colors and trims that we would in the end prefer. You both answered all our questions about M3i Touring features and trim availabilities while at the dealership – there was no need to await a response for information to be determined from an outside source (which I find distressing in a $20k purchase). Lastly, you each showed a bit of your own personality in conversation during our visit, and you each listened to a bit of my wife’s banter, which is important to me so that both she and I feel that there is a responsible person who will do more than complete the necessary forms if a post-purchase problem arises. Our final decision selecting the M3 over the Focus 5-door was made both on the familiar reliability that we’ve experienced with our Mazdas and the open interior and efficient responsiveness of the car we chose. After accepting that the white body / tan interior that is advertised for the M3i Touring trim but not available by land or by sea, there was an apparent unnecessary fuss over finding locally the color and trim combination that suits us – we did not expect a miracle was required. The advertised incentives and loyalty discount were marginally suitable to bring is within $1400 of the Focus offering. Based on my experiences, this was an acceptable premium for the assurances of known reliability, comfort, and total cost efficiency – our preferred measures for value. This is a written testimony of Jake H's and Patrick W's excellent treatment of us during this stressful purchasing process. Jake chased keys, suffered our indecisions, researched trim availabilities, and kindly took one for the team - suffering public embarrassment when I pressed the trunk release while in traffic. Patrick took the baton after the white / tan trim debacle was accepted, and he kept us updated at regular intervals while finding, accounting, and awaiting delivery and prep of our great car. Each rep gave us their best attention in a pleasant and courteous manner and seemed to believe our promise to buy well before it was apparent this was true. As I said, my long drive home passing and being passed by my wife in her cruising-at-68 2007 was a joy. An absolute joy! There's nothing like an hours-long trip in the dark, when it's cold outside but warm and comfortable inside -- with Eric Clapton, John Mayer, and Diana Krall singing you home through the stereo (by bluetooth!) -- to endear a car to your heart. And we must also thank Sergio! He is the patient voice on the phone and the smiling person at the Bountiful service department who delivered on the promise made days before, changing the manual transmission oil at 90k miles. Sergio also gave a very correct technical description of the failing front strut seals on the 2007 M3 rather than a pasteurized description of 'leaking shocks' others might provide. My wife says the ride home was much quieter and smoother, and I still consider the Bountiful service price for this work to be reasonable. This was my first experience with Bountiful Mazda of Utah. I will pass it along -- at least on a Friday -- you'll get what you need without push or shove.

Pleasant experience buying car for wife

by duskins1 on 12/03/2013

This past Saturday, my wife and I went out to go car shopping for a four door sedan (we have a baby on the way so I wanted to get her a new, or at least newer , four-door vehicle as an early Christmas present). The night prior we searched online for several vehicles that we were interested in looking at and had planned on visiting at three dealerships across the valley Saturday. We left Cottonwood Heights and drove up to Bountiful Mazda as our first stop. My wife was interested in looking at a Mazda3, we also planned on looking at a Honda, Toyota and a Kia in a similar class to the Mazda3 at other dealerships. Upon our arrival a big tall man named Garry came out and greeted us. He was very friendly and professional. He asked our price range, what we were looking for and proceeded to show us a few models in addition to the Mazda3 we originally came to see. Garry was very patient and helped us narrow down our search. Bountiful Mazda had similar vehicles on their lot to the other makes my wife and I wanted to check out. After test driving a couple of cars, and kicking the tires on many more, in the end we never made it to the other dealerships. Through Garry’s help and straight forwardness in his approach we were able to carve out a deal at Bountiful Mazda for a 2010 black Mazda3 with lots of extras. I really appreciated that Garry turned an experience that historically I have not enjoyed (buying a car at a dealership), to a fun and positive day as I tried do something cool for my wife. Best, Dustin & Miranda

Bountiful Mazda

by zpj1984 on 11/27/2013

This dealer made my car buying easy. I dealt mostly over email and they were happy to negotiate that way. They gave me a great price and didn't try to make me buy anything I didn't want (options, warranties, etc). I got the exact car that I wanted at the price I thought was fair. Bountiful mazda was much friendlier and less aggressive than other mazda dealers in the salt lake valley. I highly recommend this dealer without reservation.
