Incompetent Service Dept

by cgriff1953 on 04/08/2014

Unfortunately, the service department is just as bad. I took in my Miata (out of warranty) of course) and the kid they had running the shop said it needed new coils. I told him the coils and wires hade been replaced by an independent garage just 2 weeks earlier with NAPA parts and it did not solve the problem. He insisted that it was because they weren't MAZDA parts that I still had the problem. $747 dollars and 2 days later, same problem. I took it back and they said they would be happy to try something else, but at additional cost. No compensation for selling me something I didn't need. I ended up selling the car for parts. The man that bought it came back a few day later to thank me for selling it to him. Turns out it just needed a new fuel pump. I'll never drive a Mazda again.

Bad Sales

by soriku_1489 on 05/05/2009

I went to the dealer asking for a base model Mazda 6 automatic. They treated me like i was a chump even though i was in the military. They would not budge on the price of the car and the amount was more than i was willing to pay. They even told me that I should go to Chrysler and ask for a vehicle for that amount since Chrysler was going out of business. I was then called the next day being asked what happened by their leading sells rep. I told him that i wanted the car for $20,000 after taxes and whatever fees they had. He said that the reason why they would not go that low was because they were losing money if they did that. I got this sweet deal from a dealer out of state who gave me less than the amount than i wanted without even asking. I got a call the second time the same day and it was the same guy telling me that it wasn't possible to get the deal i was getting so then. I made my appointment to go out of state to get papers ready to get my new car, same model. I was driving and i got another call from the same guy and dealership saying that they would match this out of state dealerships price if i got the VIN number of the car. I felt disrespected. Basically, I saved $5,000 on the MSRP.
