Taken Advantage

My husband went looking for a specific type of truck at Classic. He told the salesman what he was looking for and the salesman drove around a black truck that didn't have what my husband asked and it was several thousand dollars higher than we requested. So we got up to leave and the manager came over asking what the problem was. We explained and he said hold on a minute and I'll be back. He then brought over a paper that had a truck which my husband wanted and the exact price we quoted. We were told it would be there the next day. It was at a sister company in Tennessee. This was on a Saturday and my husband said I won't be able to come back to get it until Wednesday with my work schedule. They said it's fine it will be here waiting gased up and detailed. We also requested to do the paperwork on Wednesday when we brought the down payment but they insisted we do the paperwork that day. On Wednesday we get ready to go pick it up and my husband calls. We are an hour away from this dealership. The salesman says I need to speak to the manager. So we wait and wait. I meanwhile pull out the paperwork to find the "Sister Company" where the truck is coming from in Tennessee to find out that they do not have such a truck and they are 3 hours away from Shelby and don't normally deal with them. So the paperwork also had a Georgia business. I contact them just to find out this truck was sold in November 2019 and was custom ordered. It was not even available to purchase. The guy in Georgia said they lied to you. I said well they said they wasn't able to lock it down. Georgia salesman said how do you lock down a vehicle that is not for sale? The General Manager from Shelby called with all kinds of excuses. We had already put insurance on this vehicle. We went the following weekend and purchased a truck from Sisk Ford in Forest City. Amazing upfront people. This week we receive a payment coupon for the truck that does not exist. I contact the dealership again and the GM basically blames everyone but them. Even went as far as to say most people's credit don't go through that quick. We normally have a few days. I mean really? He said it had been taken care of and it would be wiped as if it never happened. When I hung up I contacted customer service where the coupon came from. The guy on the phone said I see where it was started but we have requested information from the dealership and have not heard back. He told me since I had contacted the dealership it probably would push them in gear because he said they don't want this kind of heat. They will want this situation gone. So please do not do business with these people. I really wished we had never heard of Classic Ford. Will never ever do business again.

they Lie

I went on there web site and found a truck I liked so I did the Value your trade it offer was ok then they called me and said if I would Drive down there they would get me the high end on the trade or better so I drove 1 hour 15 minutes down there and they didnt even come close to what they told me so dont believe anything they tell you.

Disappointed

Let me first start by saying the sales associate who helped us on Saturday March 16th, Will Boykins, gets a hands down 5 star rating and this review in no way reflects his customer service. This review relates to the quality of service provided to us after we left the dealership. My husband and I went Saturday morning to look at a specific Ford F-150 we had inquired about Friday evening. After test driving the truck we came in and sat down with Will to discuss our options and budget. The truck we were looking at had just been brought in the afternoon before we stopped to look at it, from our understanding. After talking to Will about the truck, the sales manager Rick came over to talk to us about what he could do that afternoon for us to feel confident in purchasing the truck. We did have some concerns about high mileage, but it wasn’t necessarily a deal breaker. After speaking with Rick he told us he would like to put the truck in the shop for new tires (the back ones were nearly bald) and that he wanted to run a full inspection of the truck. He also said he would rerun our figures and let us know about a warranty since the mileage was a concern. The plan was for my husband and I to go eat lunch and they would call us when the truck was finished for us to come back. Needless to say we never heard a word back. I called this morning to inquire about the truck and I was informed it sold as soon as we left to go get lunch. Let me say I absolutely do not expect anyone to hold a vehicle for me at a dealership, and I am happy they were able to make the sale. My issue is with the way the situation was handled. It was extremely unprofessional that we weren’t given so much as a courtesy call letting us know the truck had been sold. I was the one who had to follow up and figure out the truck had been sold. I was very disappointed in the way we were treated by this dealership, almost as if our sale wasn’t important to them because it was a less expensive vehicle. Yes we were looking at used vehicles and no our budget wasn’t extremely large, but our business will go elsewhere.
