Got run around about monthly payment & new car has issues already

Communication amongst the employees/staff is NON-EXISTENT! You can ask 3 different people that you worked with during your purchase the same question and you get 3 different answers! If you don’t know the answer just say let me look into it and I will get back to you; NOT lie or make up something to try and make people go away and stop calling! It started with lie after lie to keep me interested in purchasing or leasing a vehicle. First I am told that I qualified for a certain tier based on my credit, and was told my payment would be $315.00 a month BUT only if I put an additional $1000 down out of my trade-in money. So I agreed to put an additional $1000 down and when I got to the finance office that ALL changed; I was told that I did not qualify for that tier, AND my payment went from $315 to $348 EVEN with the extra $1000 down. Additionally, I was told that I would get my trade-in balance check in 2-3 weeks tops. First they gave me the run around that they had not yet received the title from the lien holder, which was not true because I called the lien holder and they told me the title was sent to the dealership 7 days prior to me calling them. When I confronted them about this, they changed the reason and said they have had the title but were now waiting for the owner of the dealership to sign the check (I find it hard to believe no other managers in the dealership have authority to sign a check). It took 6 weeks to get my trade-in balance check (not to mention the salesman made it sound like I would be leaving with a check that day; but that also changed when I got to the finance office!). I got so frustrated that I even filed a complaint with Kia Corporate. Also, the NEW 2021 Kia K5 I leased is already having engine/electrical related issues! 2400 miles in and it already needs to go in for an engine diagnostic on 8/6/21; stopped at a red light and the car had NO pickup/power and RPM’s were pegged at 4500-5000 when I took off from the red light; lights started flashing on the dashboard, etc. Had to glide into the shoulder with my wife and kids in the car to shut the car down and try to see if a restart would help. Restart helped but the fact that the car is BRAND NEW (had 3 miles on it when I leased it) and having these problems already, is NOT a good sign! I feel like I have my 2014 Optima Turbo all over again (which I also purchased at this dealership); issue after issue after issue after issue; recall after recall after recall after recall, including an engine replacement because my engine seized – got to the point where I had no faith in the car anymore – reason I traded it in to get the K5 just to start the cycle all over again? I will say that I was NOT a fan of the previous ownership of this dealership, and the reason I went there to look for a car was because they had new ownership and staff; just to learn that even with the new ownership, I was dealing with the same issues I had with the previous ownership and staff, or worse! I will go to Sansone Jr's 66 Kia in Neptune City going forward for service (after my 8/6/21 scheduled engine diagnostic) even though it is further from my house. Next time this dealership will see me is when my lease is up in 3 years to give the car back, and if I do decide to purchase or lease another Kia, which is HIGHLY unlikely, it will NOT be at Raceway Kia of Freehold!

Bought a car from the dealer and was promised one price over the phone and showed different price when I went there. Should have walked out. Now after a month of buying the car not responding to calls. Bad customer service. Will never buy again.

I had a wonderful experience leasing my new Kia Sportage today. Taylor was a pleasure to work with very sweet and knowledgeable and not pushy! The sales manager Vlad also was great in making the process smooth and was able to give me the best deal around. I would definitely recommend!

Go with Honda Instead

Purchased a KIA Forte instead of a Honda Civic, because the sales manager Mr. Dangelo said he could beat the deal. Honda was $200 month with 7500 down for 5 years. Mr Dangelo said he could do the car for 16,500 and the payment would only be 175/month. He also promised to have us out the door in one hour. well 3.5 hours later we were signing the paperwork. we were drained from sitting there all day and failed to realize he changed it to 75 months instead of 60. smooth move on his part, not so cool for me. Next we discover the windshield has a crack. No problem, Mr Dangelo states just come back we will give u a loaner and the windshield will be replaced. My son comes back the following wednesday and is told he can't get a loaner the last one just left and he isn't over 21 so they can't ever give him a loaner. So the next day he drives back to pick up his car and the plates were installed from the car we traded in. two days later i get a call saying our plates are ready. The plates they put on the car could not be transferred over so now my son is driving with illegal plates. And they won't deliver them to our house because we have to sign for them. Overall this has been a huge mistake choosing KIA over Honda. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.

I went in one day looking to trade in my 2015 Kia Sorrento (end of lease) for a new 2018 Sorrento. I wasn't in the mood for haggling and I knew exactly what I wanted to pay. I was introduced to Steve Cirillo and we developed an immedaiate bond and agreed that no games would be played. They met my expecations on price and quality and I walked out of the dealership in less than 3 hours with my new vehicle having exceeded all my expectations for that short visit to Raceway Kia! I highly recommend that you ask to work with Steve and his colleagues. They are true professionals and good people to boot.

I went to Raceway Kia last week to check out a Kia Optima because I had seen some great reviews about them online. I was blown away by the features and smooth ride of the Optima. But even more amazing was the service that Steven Cirillo and team showed me. Steve treated me with respect and was very straightforward with me, which I appreciated. While we were test driving it (with the top down of course) another customer who had recently bought a car from him rolled up honking and waving and complementing Steven - can't make this stuff up. He's a good guy that just wants to get you into a car you'd like at a fair price.
