Stay FAR AWAY

Working with this dealership is a nightmare. They promise the world but can't live up to their own "Ciocca Promise". Further, they don't stand behind the quality of the vehicles they sell. I purchased a brand new vehicle from them and started having problems. As soon as I brought my concerns to their attention they wouldn't even possibly entertain that there could be manufacturer defects. Don't waste your time with this place and go somewhere where they care about customers.

Avoid this dealership if you're out of state! Over three hours, I messaged a rep to get details on a vehicle. When I I was going to drive two hours from out of state, the rep had the manger call to tell me someone else was coming in 30 minutes to look at it. I offered to buy it over the phone and even sent a picture of the cashiers check for full price plus fees. The manager, Brian, said he would call me as soon as the potential buyers left. Three hours later I called him back and he said they were still in the store and he'd call me when they left. He never did! There's definitely something fishy about their low priced vehicles online. I had a cashiers check in hand to buy something for sale, and they wouldn't let me buy it. Business must be booming there, or they're being shady. Just because you're talking to the ring leader of the circus, Brian, don't assume you're getting an honest professional. I regret wasting my time and energy trying to do business with ciocca Honda, don't waste yous!

Poor service

A couple days after I bought my car, I was having issues with my power window on the passenger's side. I have notified the dealership and to check out the motor because it sounded like it was going bad. They looked at my car and said that it was just off track and nothing to do with the motor. A couple days later, I began having the same issues. I also had brakes that was sold to me that was metal to metal. They fixed the breaks and fixed the window again. A couple days ago I am having the same exact issues with my passenger's side window. I have notified the dealership and they said they "thought" that they fixed my window. They did not know it was because of the motor. I told them that when the issues started it was because of the motor. They completely ignored my concerns because it was cheaper for them to do the adjustment of the window. They told me I would have to pay to get my window fixed because it was not covered by my warranty because it was past the 30 days. I felt like I got screwed over because according to the law it was covered within 30 days of when I purchased the car and I notified them two days after I bought my car and nothing was done to actually fix it. I am not satisfied with the service that I have received. The mission for the dealership is: "We have proudly been serving the Pennsylvania area for over 40 years. The Ciocca organization has a singular philosophy of doing business and that is 100% customer satisfaction, not only in the vehicle you purchase, but also in the process in which you buy it. We want you to be so happy that you will purchase all your vehicles from us and refer your friends and family as well. We realize that in order to do that, we must exceed your expectations, and that is our mission" With the service that I have received, this does not go by the company's mission.

Extensive body damage to truck at oil change

Took my 2017 Ridgeline in for an oil change and tire rotation and a mechanic hit it in the bay, causing extensive damage to truck bed. The driver's side panel was dented enough to make the tail gate useless as well as a 3-4 inch hole was put in the side bumper and tail light was cracked through. It took Ciocca 3.5 weeks to return the car, blaming inadequate or incorrect parts from Honda for delay in repair. My husband was informed by the body shop that regardless of when the parts were received they had the repair scheduled over one week from the initial damage. It felt as if we were inconveniencing Ciocca with the expectation of quick turn around time. After the repair was finished, the truck's body work is in pristine condition, as it should be, though time will tell if everything was done correctly. Besides this incident, the customer service from all departments in mediocre and the communication is terrible. Also lightning does strike twice at Ciocca, as my aunt took her Accord in for an appointment and it was also hit in the mechanics' bay. My damage was caused November 2017 and hers occurred this past week, December 2017.

Ciocca Honda is the best !!!!!

I would like to thank Joe Barrone for all his patience and help. He is very professional and helpful. He dose not miss a beat at explaining everything and has all the answers for any questions you have . This company is so customer orientated they will do anything to accommodate the customer. I had to wait a little for them to check things out and they offered me lunch. I don't know any other dealer who would go to these extremes to make the customer comfortable. I would like to thank the whole for making my dreams come true.

Great Experience

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Ciocca Honda. My teenage daughter has been taking her car there for the last 2 years to get serviced and she always had great things to say about how she was treated and how quick and prompt they always were to get her in and out. I had bought my previous car from a local Toyota dealership and really liked their service as well so I knew when I started shopping for cars I was going to narrow it down to those 2 dealerships. I saw a car on the Ciocca lot that caught my eye and I just stopped in to take a look. What I liked the most was I didn't have a sales person running at me within seconds..It gave me time to check the car out on my own without the pressure of a sales rep. I went in then to see about a test drive and was greeted by the general manager. Very nice and promptly got me to Matt Bueller. Matt was AWESOME! Very nice, knowledgeable and honest. I don't know what more you could ask for. The team at Ciocca worked miracles..I was really upside down in my current car and they got me into the car I really wanted and my payments are actually less! Every team member I came in contact with was more than polite. I didn't realize they closed at 8:00 and I had stopped around 7:00p. They didn't rush me or even ever mention they were soon closing. It was 9pm when I finally asked what time they closed, when the manager kindly said 8pm..They were there till almost 10pm getting me situated with my new car. As a manager myself that clearly goes beyond great customer service! I would highly recommend Ciocca Honda to anyone. I LOVE MY 2015 NISSAN ROUGE! Noele Peters

I bought my 2012 Honda Pilot at Ciocca Honda in Harrisburg. They were wonderful! I dealt with Joe Barrone who was able to answer all my questions. There was zero pressure, and the deal was excellent!! Highly, highly, highly recommended!!!

Was lied to and tricked into paying $9000+ over cars worth!!

Took my car to trade in Omaha Honda. My car had only 5000 miles, got way under Edmunds and blue book value. Was told by salesman Randy Lawrence that if I didn't want the car he showed me, I could pick any civic I wanted on lot. Got there and car he wanted me to buy was already being cleaned up, but I told him I wanted to pick my car like he promised me I could do. I told him from the beginning I either wanted a purple honda fit or a honda civic with nav, but I wanted a blue civic with grey interior. It was dark both nights and I specifically told him I don't want a tan/beige interior. He followed me around not letting me alone, rushing me, I got so stressed I had to tell the manager to get him away from me. I was trying to find out why one car was over $2000 less than the other. Randy kept insisting its identical, but it wasn't. He knew the car he was trying to sell me was on the lot longer, red dotted, do he'd make more over one car. All he cared about was the money, not what I wanted!! Told the finance manager and sales manager Nick and Matt that no I wasn't happy and would not be unless I was in the car I wanted, I was rushed by them too, no explanation of why one care was $2000+ more and turns out I git the car worth $2000+ less but charged the amount of the more expensive car!!! I was ripped off there!! Before I even left, couldn't open car door, and rubber where door closes was sticking out like a defect. 2 fays later the gps/radio just shut off no reason and now the USB charger in the front stopped charging and connecting the phone to the car. And the radio doesn't start on a station like its programmed to follow. So I got a lemon on top of being way overcharged , tricked into an extended warranty, etc.... They knew I was stressed and needed to get home, wasn't happy with the deal. Did they offer to let me come back, to sleep on it?? No!!!!! Did they even try to search for the exact car, color, interior I wanted? No!!!!! Am I a happy customer? Noooooooo!!!!!! They did offer to do what they can to make me because they want me to be happy, so I'm going up there tomorrow and see what they do to get me into the car I wanted and will be happy in because it sure isn't what they wanted me to buy!!!! If I'm not happy, I'm going to the BBB and probably get a lawyer because I was lied to and rushed into this very bad deal!!!!

I got ripped off

The sold me a defective CRV it has ben at the shop since the 1st day. The replaced two vtc a tuator and the ti ing chain. The still did not resolve My problem Honda does not care about ita customers the only vant to make money off you problem beware of Joe barone and sean sullivan the hare money hungry stay awey n

Good to work with, Excellent financing options

Everyone was very helpful and good to work with. I wasn't really thinking we would be able to afford the car we got, a 2014 Civic Hybrid, but they gave us a great trade in value, much better than two other dealers I tried, and they had much better financing options. The only negative thing I would say it a very kind gentleman took about 20 minutes of my time to explain different extended service contract options. A. I wasn't interested in any, B. My wife was waiting with our 3 year old and 5 year old. I wouldn't not go back there because of this, the guy who explained it did a very good job, he was clear and thorough, but I just wasn't interested and the whole car buying process just took a long time. I don't expect that this would be different at other dealers and again, I wouldn't not go back because of this. Be careful, both Honda dealers we went to tried to get us to buy a non-Hybrid Civic. We're glad we got the Hybrid! 50-60mpg is common for our driving with this car and we just love it!!! We really love our 2014 Honda Civic Hybrid and I'd recommend Ciocca Honda as well!

They don't have car in stock

The didn't have car in stock and hence didn't negotiate. Their manager never admitted to that and did say they will have to locate the vehicle. They sent an online quote which was good but I went there, they started negotiating again giving me a higher price. When I told them about email they denied giving such a quote. Then I pulled my email (thanks to smartphones), they went back in their so called room, made me wait for 15 minutes and came back to say that they cannot do better than that and if I want it do the deal at that price. Even though their email suggested to come to the showroom for getting even better deal. He just shooed me away. They lost me as a potential customer. I bought the car the same night from another dealership at a cheaper price than that anyways.

Best Deals in Region

We do not "negotiate" deals. We tell dealers that we are comparing prices with other dealers and want their best price up front. The best price will get our business. Of course, all dealers request that if another dealer beats their price, they'd like a chance to see if they can do better. We say, do your best from the start. Well, in November of 2012, after checking with dealerships in a 60 mile radius to Ciocca, not only did Ciocca provide the best initial price on a 2013 Accord Sport, other dealers said they couldn't believe we were given that price when we called them to say Ciocca would be getting our business! Also, we obtained this Ciocca best price via phone conversation. Some dealerships are reluctant to give a quote by phone, even ones offering "on-line" pricing. One dealer even refused to give a phone quote. This is not the case with Ciocca!! We obtained the price via phone conversation with the sales person assigned to Internet sales. When completing the deal, in person, we were transferred to another sales person who facilitated our test drive, paperwork, and delivery. Even though the dealership was very busy with potential customers (another good sign this dealership's reputation is positive throughout the area), Ciocca staff was extremely pleasant. Of course, when completing the financial paperwork, they did go through the mandatory process of trying to sell an enhanced warranty program but it was not a hard sell. We were not pressured when we declined the offer. NOTE: Part of this extended warranty includes adding a "film" to the car so that waxing is not necessary. I've had several friends report that this is not a once and done application. It peels off after a couple of years and needs to be reapplied. So, self-wax or pay additional $$$ to have dealer re-apply the film??? I'd rather wax. The day after taking delivery, we noticed a small puncture/tear in the driver's seat. It was very small (about 1/4 inch) and hard to see unless you were looking for it. We took delivery after dark and both car and interior are black. So, it was definitely easy to overlook at delivery time. We notified Ciocca and they ordered a new seat, no cost to us. It took over a month for the seat to arrive. But Ciocca installed it, without any hesitation. The ONLY negative I can provide for this dealer is that their location is not ideal, at least for those not living close to it. Ciocca Honda is 43 miles from where we live near York, PA. However, it takes a good hour to get to Ciocca. Still, it is well worth the drive!! Now, we are about to purchase a 2013 Pilot, Touring edition. Again, Ciocca has provided the best price. We are trying to decide whether we should proceed with the 2013 or wait for a 2014. If we do wait, I'm confident Ciocca will continue to be the dealer with the best price around. Add to that the fact that the staff are easy (even fun) to work with, and I'm certain we'll continue to make Ciocca our Honda dealer of choice. I highly recommend giving them a look - or at least a call!
