Big red

This was a new vehicle purchase. After making the purchase, a couple minor issues that were not pleasing, ie. couldn't get vehicle registered/completely setting up the vehicle, collision light staying on, wheels needing balanced.. Other than these, for the most part I am very happy with this purchase.. I'm not a person that purchases new vehicles often.. But if I need to purchase another new vehicle, I would very much consider purchasing from Richard Kay.

3 hours for an oil change, tech spilled oil all over my engine etc.... my Corvette smokes , the cabin smells of burnt oil and I have oil all over my garage floor

New 2019 GMC Acadia

Wonderful experience buying a new car. My salesman, Mike Mattison, was informed and knowledgeable about the SUV. The dealer let us keep the vehicle over the weekend so we could do more than a quick test drive. We got a great deal and a great trade-in price. Would highly recommend Richard Kay.

Left without a ride

I turned my vehicle in on a Wednesday morning, shortly after 8:00 to have warranty work done. They told me they would give me a ride home and pick me up when my car was ready. I have used them for service in the past but have always waited there for my vehicle. I decided to take them up on their offer for the ride. I needed to get things done at home. The job they were doing should have taken no more than 2 hours. By lunch time, I had not herd from them. I called them after lunch. The car was ready but there was no one there to come pick me up so I could get my car. I was told that someone should be there shortly so they could come get me. That never happened. They never even called me to let me know they weren't going to be able to pick me up. They just left me hanging without a ride. My wife got home around 6 that evening. We went and got my car with the spare key. The dealership had closed by the time we got there. So I went the next day to get my key. I don't think they even realized the car was gone. If I had lived by myself, this would have put me in a real bind. I did look into taking a taxi. It was going to cost me 20.00 bucks for a 5 mile ride. That is unacceptable. Richard Kay Superstore, you really dropped the ball on this one.

Great sales team !

Bought my 2017 Silverado on Friday January the 25th to which I got to give a shout out to Gary Sellers who worked with me demonstrating this truck before the purchase, ended up with a good deal and great truck for the price I would recommend Richard Kay to anybody looking for a car, truck, suv for their prices and great sales team. Again a big thanks to Gary Sellers for working with me.

Car Repair

I recently got my ECM and BCM repaired in my Buick LeCrosse. They fixed the problem, which cost close to $2000. However, when I got my car back, I immediately started having some of the same issues as before. I received a report of recommended services when I picked up the car. There were various things on the report such as brakes and air filter, which showed me the car was inspected before being returned to me. I returned the car the next day and later was told that I needed new spark plugs and a tune up to the tune of approximately $600. I argued about the unfairness of this and this problem should have been seen and reported to me before informing me that the car was in good working condition. They states taking the car on a test drive and didn’t see anything. That absolutely cannot be the case since I immediately experienced problems upon driving the car for the first time. Richard Kay informed me they “wanted to make this right,” and would fix the problem at cost for $448. They refused to move there stance on the matter so I got my car back and will get someone else to fix it who is more reputable than this shady business. Buyer BEWARE of getting your car serviced at Richard Kay Automotive because this buyer got hosed!

I had an awesome experience at Richard Kay. They really helped me with my trade-in and gave me a great deal on a brand new Tahoe. The finance department and and customer services/sales were great to work with. After purchasing my Tahoe they took time to go over all of the vehicle's features.

Worst Expierence Ever

By Far and away the worst servicing dealer in South Carolina stay very far away from them. I fought with them for months Starting in January of 2016 with an ignition coil. Then more ignition coils then a misdiagnosis of a Transmission issue. Turns out it was not the transmission at all but 3 ignition coils and AWD transfer case that was cooked all consequential damage. I ultimately had to give up my vehicle for another one and GM was useless in getting the matter resolved. I loved the car but GM does not service what they sell. They lost a very good margin sale for them. I would not have them work on my 10 Speed Bicycle.

Horrible Sales Experience and Ethics of the Chervolet Brand

On June 27, 2016 my wife and I went back to Richard Kay to purchase another vehicle after having a wonderful experience several months ago. My wife needed a new car therefore Richard Kay was the place. We were greeted by a salemen name Alex. After sitting down with him, he stated that the bank was closed that he wanted to use and that he would give us a call on Monday, That Monday, my wife called Alex over 6 times for an update to only be lied to consistently. Alex finally called me later that evening and said we could be financed for a Silverado like the 2015 model we currently have. I let him know we would be there by 6pm. After rushing from Greenville to Richard Kay we were greeted by a rep who stated Alex had left for the day. This really upset us being that I just spoke with him. After a few days of not hearing from Alex we decided to try another dealership and ended up going to KEVIN WHITAKER CHEVROLET and getting the most amazing CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I'm happy to say that we left KEVIN WHITAKER CHEVROLET with the VEHICLE SHE WANTED from the very start with payments we could afford. I was highly disappointed as this was the experience we hoped for from Richard Kay and did not get that. I'm not sure if it's new salesmen with no experience but it is one that was highly disappointing and unprofessional to write about in this review. I had just bought my a vehicle from this dealership 5 months ago brand new and was wanting to add another vehicle to our family. As a military veteran who once bragged on Richard Kay and sent referrals, I will not be back.
