Smoooooth as Glass

Brandon G and the sales team at Capital (Raleigh) have kept my truck buying habit going smooth as glass! Repeat customer is an understatement. Not being a patient or easy client, I have been consistently impressed with their service and am always amazed at the deals they can work.

Do your Due Diligence

Please make sure you do not sign any paperwork until you know exactly what you are paying for monthly! I told the sales person my maximum budget and they said got that approved for me. My monthly payment was supposed to be $260 not including a warranty or any type of insurance. I was very clear and even stated earlier in person before I left that $280ish was not doable!! So I was completely surprised when I showed up to get started with paperwork my payment was $278. I really liked the car so I was ok with that amount plus whatever warranty and insurance would be added. We went into the room thinking that was the terms and came to find out monthly payment jumped to $293!! Mind you, we haven’t discussed warranty or insurance at this point. Let’s just say after everything was said and done my monthly payment ended up being $310!

Do NOT buy tires here

I spent close to 6k on rims and tires here and was told that the tires had free rotation. I called today to schedule the free rotation and was told I would have to pay for the service. I called and asked to speak with a manager and they disconnected call. I called back and was told the manager was on lunch and other managers were in a meeting. I am very dissatisfied with the service from this location.

Dealer allows Sales Associates to sell Lemons

I informed the dealership today Thursday, April 20th that I still do not have my heated seats in my LT 2022 Equinox that I bought in May 2022 of last year. They asked me who my sales person was? I told them Keyanka Bailey. Capital Chevrolet told me today that Keyanka Bailey no longer works at Chevy Capital. I told the CS person I spoke to today and she informed me that Keyanka Bailey no longer works with the company. This is very frustrating because Keyanka Bailey never told me that the 2022 Chevy Equinox that I purchased had no heated seat chips and that the chips were on backorder. If I had known, I would have kept my Honda. Keyanka told me this after I had signed the paperwork and finalized the documents to my car. And I told Chevy Capital that someone has already hit me from behind because my car stalled and than I see a link for recalls and Lemons for Chevy Equinox 2022 and I told the Chevy Dealer that I think my Equinox has a faulty fuel injection pump issue. Capital Chevrolet asked what kind of resolution am I looking for? That is a joke. No General Manager or Sales Manager called me back about my complaint. This is the worst car buying experience ever. And the crummiest. It’s a horrible driving experience because I am so worried that my car is going to stall again. The 1st time I was rear ended because my car stalled my son was not in the car. Next time I might not be so lucky. And if not resolved this is the last rime I will get a Chevy.

Misleading information & lack of customer service

I was informed that the service maintenance agreement would "cover all manufacturer recommended maintenance work required at each milestone" at the time of sale, but a gentleman in service informed me that only oil changes were actually covered. I also was looking to have a damaged part replaced on my vehicle and had to dial in multiple times across two weeks, left 3 messages (for the service manager, my service advisor, and with the general service line) only to receive no callback. Spoke to somebody named Sydney or Cindy who refused to provide her name, her manager's name or contact information (when all I wanted to do was ask about the correct process for having a part replaced on my vehicle). I have heard many bad things about Capital Chevrolet previously, and I used to tell people that they might have been mistaken, but I can say with certainty now that I cannot recommend this place (for sales or service). You are best taking your business anywhere else.

Bad from start to finish

I called asking about a truck that caugh my eye and asked about it and told them I was going to be a paying cash. I guess no one took me serious because nobody got back with me. I called again and was past to a different person same thing. I did call back a 3rd time and was asked to come in because they might listen if I was inperson. I did buy the truck only because I wanted it. I was told it would be delivered the next day with both keys and a full tank of gas. It was delivered with one key and no gas. On top of that my address is wrong on the registration. I called the sales guy email the sales guy no respond they got the money and just forgot the after experience.

UNREASONABLE COST OF SERVICE

Today I took my Silverado to Capital Chevrolet for a routine oil change/tire rotation. This is where I bought my Silverado and where I have taken it for the majority of its service. I did not ask for (nor was I offered) a price quote prior to the routine service. At the time of payment, the cost was $152. I stated to the service writer that $152 seemed high. The service writer responded, "we've had a price increase recently". I checked the receipts from my last three routine oil changes/tire rotations. Two (performed at the same dealership) were $96-108. One (performed at AAA) was $67. I carried two of these prior receipts back to the service writer and showed them to her. She responded, "we've had a price increase recently". After returning home, I checked on the cost of the same service (with 8 quart synthetic) at two other Chevrolet dealerships in the Raleigh/Durham area, to see if the other dealerships were experiencing similar price increases. These two local dealerships quoted that the cost of the same service today at their dealerships is $86-100. Therefore, Capital Chevrolet, after their "recent price increases", appears to be charging about 1.5-2 times more than other comparable, local Chevrolet dealerships for routine oil changes/tire rotations. That seems unreasonable.

Not professional.

We were working on a lease, they pulled my credit, received more than 3 calls from sellers and 2 calls form managers to negotiate the price of the car. When everything was ready, I get a call saying that they just sold the car even though my credit was pulled and that they couldn’t do anything further. The solution they gave was to wait 2 months, get the credit pulled again and see if something similar comes out. Don’t do business with them, not professional at all.
