Great folks; Excellent product

My nephew had come over from NY state to purchased an Impreza from Brattleboro Subaru last year so I stopped by on a whim on a Friday afternoon. There was a Certified Pre-Owned 2013 Impreza w/super low mileage I couldn't pass up, as I know how rare low mileage Subarus are. My sales associate, Laura Chapdelaine, was very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and interested in my story re previous car etc. She spent the necessary time to carry out the purchasing and paperwork processes without making me feel hurried or pressured. Laura also went with me on 2 test drives including a possible alternative Subaru Outback in my price range. She worked with w/the finance dep't then introduced me to them so I could complete the Finance process. She brought me out to the Service Dep't to introduce me to the staff. Also, Laura arranged for pick-up of my car a few days later and was friendly to my friends who brought me to pick it up. She even offered to come to my home 22 miles away to pick up the car! Laura has remained in touch with me over the past week since I received my car.

Great experience from beginning to end

Leased a 2016 Legacy Premium. I contacted all Subaru dealerships within 100 miles of my hometown. From my very first conversation with Amy Ciccone, Brattleboro Subaru was one of the best dealerships to work with, including searching the entire New England inventory database for me even though I suspected she never believed I would drive the 100 miles to buy a car from them. I negotiated everything via phone and email with Mike Masters and Jason Reynolds in advance of even arriving at the dealership. I have dealt with over 40 dealerships in the last 4 years for my cars, my wife’s cars, and cars for friends and family. As such, I have become pretty skeptical of good deals having seen some shady activities and efforts. Needless to stay, I was ecstatic when the “too-good-to-be-true” offer from Brattleboro was, in fact, 100% true. They were able to offer me a deal that had other dealers literally laughing when I price-shopped it around with each other dealer telling me to give them a call back when this deal turns out not to be true. Jason Posternak was the sales/finance manager. It was the same laid-back, painless, friendly experience with him as with Amy, Mike, and Jason Reynolds, having a nice conversation about hobbies, family, and life in Boston. I love my Legacy and in addition to recommending a 2016 Legacy, I HIGHLY recommend Brattleboro Subaru.

A Quick and Informative Response

I searched for this car through Consumer Reports. I built my car on-line. I received a call from Brattleboro Subaru within 7 minutes of submitting my request. The woman who contacted (I forgot her name) was so knowledgeable about Subarus that I did not even consider going anywhere else. She directed me to the options that would fit my needs best and also did not push something I didn't want. As well, the Consumer Reports "discount" helped, too. The one thing that got me to purchase from you and not from Subaru of Keene was that quick phone call from a well-trained individual. Nice job! She should get a raise because she earned it!

Top Notch

I knew what I wanted and what price I wanted. My local dealer told me my research was wrong, spent hours trying to get me accessories, and played games with the manager. I called Brattleboro Subaru shortly before closing. I spoke with Ian about about what I was looking for. He called me back in 10 minutes to say he could do it and confirmed price, fees, and taxes in an email. I went the next day to pick up a new Impreza. Ian made the closing quick and easy. No "car salesman" BS. All very easy. I will go back there when I need a new vehicle.

I would like to share our experience with Brattleboro-Subaru and if you need any further evidence that people are good and really do care, then this dealership personifies the word “service”. We actually came to Brattleboro by complete coincidence. While returning home from a family vacation, our car lost all electrical power. Not only were we fortunate to stop at exit 2 off of I-91, but also lucky enough that Brattleboro Subaru was also located this same exit. While still hours away from home and the threat of bad weather looming, we were anxious to get the car fixed and get home. We want to thank the staff at Brattleboro-Subaru for everything they did to get my family back on the road. If the 3 individuals that took care of us represent the type of people that are part of the dealership, then the city of Brattleboro is lucky to have such a great staff. Doug Howard was the first to help us. After we explained the situation and the problems that we encountered with the car, he immediately understood the urgency and necessity to get us back home. After the initial assessment, he explained the condition of the car in a very professional and calm demeanor. He made us aware that a part was needed to complete the service but could only be obtained from Connecticut. If any further delay, and with poor weather approaching, the repair would not be completed for 4 days. There was no doubt in his voice; he was going to try to get us home. I would like to thank Jim Ferro for driving all the way to Connecticut for the necessary part, and driving with the threat of snow and poor driving conditions. I would also like to thank Phil Szczygiel for performing the repair in a timely manner and also being so personable from the very beginning. Overall we cannot thank the team enough. Upon our final good-byes, we were reminded of the upcoming storm and were told to be careful on the way home. It is rare these days to find a place that truly takes pride on how they do and go about their business. Great experience

Went to dealers in my area (in upstate NY). I needed a car from existing inventory (my old car had died), and the dealers in my area did not have exactly what I wanted, plus the prices for what they had was not so good. I looked online on TrueCar and found a really good deal for the exact new car I wanted at Brattleboro Subaru. Did the deal on the phone and on my computer, and they delivered it to my door a few days later free of charge on a snowy winter day (two hour trip each way). Very friendly and professional staff, and they made it easy.

Tried to Rip Us Off

We got our price certificate, called put down a deposit and noted we would be trading in a Saturn Outlook. They said they could not give us a price on trade in without seeing the car. So we took the car to a couple dealers near home to get offers - the offers were 6K for an out right buy up to 8K for a trade in. We drove to the dealer. Their trade in offer $3200! We were shocked, disclosed our other offers and they immediately offered $5200. $2000 more in a matter of minutes. Basically they tried to rip us off and would have been able to if we had not done our homework on the Saturn's value. So yes they will honor the certificate but will take you to the cleaners any other chance they get. Honesty is not their strong suit. Manager's reply when I flagged what happened was to tell me they offered us $4500 - seriously his response is to lie or pretend we are lying? And $4500 is still way off the mark.

From one extreme to another

As a first time car buyer I was quite nervous on what to expect from dealerships. I knew I wanted to look at the Imprezas and quite possibly the wrx as well. My first stop was Subaru of Keene, I walked around with my father for a good 45 mins looking around almost the whole lot. I've always heard how cars salesman can come out and be pushy with you, the couple salesman I did see came out, moved some vehicles but failed to acknowledge us. At this point I just wanted someone to come out and say hello, it was Saturday, it was like they didn't expect people to be there. After a few more minutes of walking around I decided I wanted to go to Brattleboro Subaru. As we pull into the lot I lay my eyes on a 2015 wrx, I park my car and my dad and I walk over to take a look. I had some questions but was still very unsure on when I wanted to get a car. I was approached by Rose Kochman and she asked if there was anything she could do for me. I told her I was a first time buyer, still very unsure on my choice and just recently started thinking about getting a new car. She invited us inside to talk things over. We talked about the wrx I was just looking at and next thing I new I was on a test drive! I was instantly in love and ended up leaving with the car a couple hours later. Through the whole process Rose was absolutely amazing!!! She made everything so easy to understand and was not pushy by any means, it was painless. She went above and beyond to get me the best rate possible and made sure I was happy with everything along the way. I am still in love with my car and look forward to the years to come!! Thank you all at Brattleboro Subaru for everything you guys do!! You've gained my business and I tell everyone about my experience with your great customer service!! I also tell them of my experience in Keene...Things certainly worked out in my favor!!!

The Folks at Brattleboro Subaru were great! Buying a new car was a new experience for me and I was very nervous. Just bought a new 2014 xv crosstrek from an internet sale at Brattleboro. Absolutely love the car! As for the buying process, it was smooth from start to finish. I asked a lot of questions as I waited for the car to arrive and received prompt responses from Matt H, and Mike M. My trade-in value was exactly what they estimated, the manager (Luke) was very friendly, and Nizam M took care of the finance paperwork efficiently which allowed me to get out on the road in my new car right away. I recommend doing business here!

Great, Easy Purchase Experience

I purchased a new outback from Brattleboro Subaru last week. The entire experience was very easy and smooth. I asked for quotes online from several dealerships and Brattleboro was the best no haggle price for me. I worked with Marie to set up the order which went very quickly since I knew what I wanted already. When the car arrived, Matt worked with me through the delivery process and thoroughly explained the details of the car to myself and my wife. At no point did they try to sell an extra policies or add-ons to me, which I appreciated. They seemed to recognize I knew the car that I wanted and didn't try to push me in any other directions. I would come back to Brattleboro and recommend to friends.

Well Worth a 3 Hour Drive!

They knew more about the cars, their price was better, their financing terms were better....but the thing that stands out to me the most is that the people at this dealership were just simply nicer than any other I've dealt with. A real strength was dealing with Marie F over email prior to my visit. Her emails were informative and it always felt like I was dealing with a real person instead of getting form letters or auto replies. Once I got to the dealership (which was a significant drive for me), I found everyone at the dealership to be just as friendly and helpful. There is literally nothing about this experience that could have been any better for me. I can sum it up by saying that I would make this drive again to buy a new car before I even bothered checking with other dealers. I highly recommend them!!

WORTH THE TRIP

Went to a Subaru Dealer less than 10 miles from home. Dealer refused my offer and said the model and color I wanted was unavailable and could not be ordered. Brattleboro Subaru found the color and model at a price $500 less than I offered the previous dealer. The 100 mile trip to pick up the car was well worth it.

The Service department as a whole has always been very good to me and my car. I really like the fact that they point out things to me that will need to be address down the road, and don't put me in a panic that the issues need to be done right now! Megan knows that there is one Tech that always works on my car and she makes sure that Josh is the only one who does. He found an issue this time around that neither of us could remember being there last time. I like when there is one person who works on my car. Thank you to all who help maintain my car.

Made car buying so easy!

I normally HATE car shopping. Sales people are pushy, negotiating is an absolute pain, and then doing paperwork seems to last for days. I didn't have a single one of those issues with Brattleboro Subaru. My salesperson (Billy) was extremely helpful and patient and helped me get the car I wanted for a great price. Nizam got me in and out quickly so I didn't have to wait forever on paperwork and made it a very pleasant experience. After the actual purchase I did some extra research on pricing in my surrounding area and was very pleased to find that Brattleboro Subaru really did excellent on their pricing, beating everyone in the area. I am very happy and would recommend this dealership to anyone!

Horrible.

I have a Forester that I bought at a dealer in Massachusetts [non-permissible content removed]. But I live up here and have used them for the warranty-covered repairs that I needed, oil changes, and a couple of inspection stickers in a pinch. Every. single. time. they come out to the waiting room with a look of concern about how something not covered by the warranty really ought to be done, and hinting that I'm driving a deathtrap if I don't get something that wasn't a problem fixed. They are at their worst when you go for an inspection sticker, especially if it's at the end of the month. <br><br> A couple of years ago [non-permissible content removed]. <br><br> A couple of years later I get stuck needing an inspection sticker, and again, the dealer is the only one who can fit me in. They come out, tell me my car has failed because the two marker lights have blown out. They say they can replace the two marker lights for $80, including labor. This seems insane to me, so I double check the price ("$18?" "No, $80. They're really hard to get to, so it's actually a lot of labor.") I tell them to fail the car. I can come back with the repair made and pay $5 to get the actual sticker. I drive immediately to my (awesome) regular mechanic, who replaces the left light in under 90 seconds, and the right one in under 60 seconds, and charges me a whopping $2.65 for bulbs and installation. Yes. $80.00 vs. $2.65. The thing is, If the dealer had said $20 or even $25 I probably would have done it just to get it over with, but with such blatant thievery I not only would *never* go back to them for service, I would *never* buy a car from them, either. <br><br> I don't understand how they think this sort of thing makes any sort of business sense. I mean, everyone expects repairs at a dealer to cost more than at an independent mechanic, but this is truly excessive and dishonest and, frankly, puts me off the brand somewhat.
