Northside Ford

So, we went in to buy new the price we had to be out the door at and were up front with the salesman and his sales manager and told them we were coming from another dealership where they tried to add on options and equipment that we did not want and discussed over the phone we wanted to no have any hidden cost. We were assured this would not happen and the price was the price. So after driving across town in heavy traffic and looking at the vehicle and going in and doing the paperwork and negotiating the price of the vehicle to have the payments and terms I needed after TT&L, the salesman comes back with the paperwork and there it is; added on $695 for window tint and extras for paint protection and wheel locks, etc. bringing the cost of the car back over my budget by $1,500. So, I asked what this was all about and told him that be did not agree to this and had discussed this prior to me even coming over. So, he leaves and goes to talk with the sales manager and comes back and says he got the items removed, however now the car is at the "internet" price which is $2,400 more than our negotiated price and now this makes the total cost out the door $900 more than what we had agreed to. The salesman tried to sell it to me like it was a $1,500 savings and that it was a better deal. Meanwhile the sales manager kept circling around and kind of hovering and looking to see what was going on. I became upset and told them that he wasted everyone's time and I was leaving. They did not seem to care that they lost a sale. What's funny is while I was there waiting for the salesman earlier to arrive I saw a gentleman there get up and leave and was complaining about the same type of thing that they were messing with the numbers. Basically I don't think I will be going to buy a car from Northside Ford and I am going to make sure and educate and tell everyone I know about what happen to me over there. This is typical old school car salesman math trickery. People are a lot smarter shoppers now days and do have money to purchase and have other choices and do not need to feel pressured like they have to buy then and there on the spot.

Hugo Vasquez did a good job of showing us the used car we bought as well as some other choices, then helped get the car serviced for a paint repair to cover a deep scratch, recall repairs and a problem with the sunroof, calling us frequently with updates. We feel like we paid a fair price for a good car (2013 Fusion Hybrid). Thanks Hugo!

My sister and I agreed with what we thought I should pay for the car. My sister aggressively fought to get what we agreed upon. More than 1 employee bent over backwards trying to make the sale and to still make a profit. I've got more car than I was looking for but I'm going to love it.

The way that I was treated as a customer, how easy and how quick the whole process took place, from the moment I met my sales rep. to the moment I met with the finance rep and shortly after that I was on my way home. Very nice and professional staff. Never felt pushed to commit on buying the vehicle or any other extras, and how every function on the vehicle I purchased was explained . Overall, excellent sales and finance experience. This is the place to go to buy a vehicle.
