Customer Service....What customer service???

When I dropped my vehicle off I told them that I needed to have my back right brake fixed and I was 99% sure it was the caliper that was the problem. I was told they would need to do a diagnostics test and that it would cost me $90. From my experience this type of test is done is there is an electrical error or engine problem, NOT for a brake job. I told them this and that I did not want a diagnostics test. I was then told that a diagnostic test can include a wide variety of things, such as driving the car around to hear the noise it was making! (BTW, I did this as soon as I arrived). I couldn't help but laugh at this sorry excuse for of a "diagnostic" test. Seriously, $90 to drive my car around to hear a noise? Anyway, I dropped my car off at 9:30am on a Saturday and by 3pm when I still had not heard anything from the dealer, I called them....to find out that they would not be able to fix my vehicle that day. They needed to replace the caliper, rotor and pads on the right side, but asked if i also wanted the pads and rotor replaced on the left as well. I said no, just do the right hand side and since pads can only be purchased as a set, I wanted the unused ones to take home (I was being charged $104.00 after-all). Initially I was told that would be fine, but then I was told that I could not have the unused set and that they had to replace the rotor and pads on the left side as well as the right, b/c "they only do things the right way" and apparently the "right" way is replacing all parts(except the caliper) on the axle, even though the brakes work separately from each other and despite the fact that there was nothing wrong with the left side!!! I asked what grade the pads were and was told they were mid-grade, only to find out later that they were the high grade.I was also told on Monday that the quote I was given multiple times on Saturday was wrong, they quoted the caliper at $90 and now all of a sudden it's $172! I obviously put up a fuss about this and was finally told that they would give it to me for the $90. When I finally was able to get my car back I was given an attitude from the second I walked in the door. The customer service is NON EXISTENT at this dealership. There were no apologizes for the false information i received, if fact they tried to make me feel bad by saying multiple times that they took a loss on this $515 brake job!!! Seriously!!! They charge $161 per hour for labor on top of their insanely expensive parts, they also charge almost $40 for an oil change!! I will never, ever be back. I bought my car at this dealership and my husband has purchased 2 vehicles from them, but after this, they have lost 2 customers for sure and we will be spreading the word on the poor service to ALL of our friends, family and co-workers. This place is definitely NOT #1 in my book!
