The staff at the dealership was a very knowing and efficient, and answered every one of my questions professionally. I purchased a used Jeep Wrangler from Lake Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge last year. Needless to say this was an absolute lemon of a purchase. From the time we started driving the vehicle we had problems. 8 times the check engine light has come on. We purchased an extended warranty with the vehicle and all of the repairs that were filed with their warranty company were denied. Ultimately the warranty company cancelled my warranty without even notifying me. I was told by the dealership that I would have to purchase another warranty which covered few miles and years but at the same cost. The dealership agreed to repair the transmission which took over 2 months. When I finally received my Jeep back and test drive it, the check engine light came on again. The dealer took the vehicle back to repair again. After several weeks I picked up my Jeep only for the check engine light to come back on after 4 days of driving it. I requested that the dealership refund my money as this vehicle is a lemon they have refused. I would never buy a vehicle from Lake Norman Chrysler Jeep Dodge again.

I will say my experience purchasing a used vehicle was much easier than expected. I let them know I did not want to spend my entire day at the dealership. I made an appointment and was out very quickly. My only issue I have is the follow up. I had texted to ask a few questions and never received a reply.

Disingenuous Dealership Practices

Worked with Ken (Sales Manager) and Juwan to purchase a 50K Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. My husband and I were in the process of finalizing the numbers and agreeing to the deal when I received a TEXT from Ken that the car was sold. There was no warning no discussion. We have had plenty of car buying experiences and just recently purchased an Audi and Honda with great customer service. Ken treated us disingenuously in this experience and I highly recommend that futures buyers beware.

After extensive research I settled on a low mileage CPO Jeep Grand Cherokee at Lake Norman CJDR given its competitive asking price. I had been in touch with Jay C. who was always prompt and accurate in his communication by email in advance of the test drive. On arrival Jay had the vehicle pulled right up front for me--a change from the many other dealers that often took upwards of 30 minutes to find the vehicle, even when I had an appointment. Jay was knowledgeable, personable, with high-level professionalism, and not at all overbearing. The entire transaction took place without a hitch, and I would certainly return to Lake Norman CJDR in the future.

Poor Communication

I'm currently in the market for a vehicle that was for sale at this dealership. I reached out to them via the internet. No one called me back. I called the dealership spoke to a salesmen and internet manager who promised to call back with photos of the vehicle due to me living outside of the area. No luck with that! I called the dealer and finally got someone on the phone and wanted to discuss pricing and the salesperson told me they would not do more then a few hundred off and that's it. I said ok have the manager give me a call so we can discuss it a little more and I never received a call back.So I called them today July 11, 2017 and now the vehicle is sold. As a person that has been in sales for almost 20 years one thing I know is communication is everything. Please do not waste your time with this dealership if you are not on the showroom floor don't bother. Oh yeah I have bought at least 4 cars via the internet from all over the US and was hoping this would be another smooth transaction!

I bought a certified used vehicle that was suppose to be inspected. I had the truck for one week and they tell me it needs over $300 in belts. How did they inspect the vehicle before it was sold and not know about the belts! Overpriced and slow! Will never come back here ever again!

After having a less then pleasant experience and falling into the cracks of "procedure", I wrote a less then stellar review. The owner, Jack Salzman, contacted me personally and went above and beyond what was expected, and honestly, beyond what he had to do. I am very pleased with how things turned out. Sometimes things happen and you become the one who suffers for it, this place, the owner in particular, made an unpleasant experience much better. My biggest regret was not contacting the owner before I wrote my initial review. Thank you Mr Salzman!
