onJames McCullough makes the process so easy and enjoyable. His dedication to his clients shows from the moment you walk in the door until you drive away in your new vehicle. This is the second vehicle we have purchased from James and highly recommend him to all of our family and friends.

Heater core
by 01/14/2019
onNot to good, I brought my vehicle in for a heating problem and they said I had a air bubble in the system. That’s what you say when you can’t find the problem. I went to Basil Chevrolet and found my heater core leaking. They fixed and all is good now.

onWest Herr did a great job in locating the vehicle that we wanted even going as far as Pittsburgh PA to locate the right vehicle. We have been doing business worn West Heer for @ 27 years now and really appreciate the attention that we receive from Shawn Stanley and Staff

onAbsolute worst car dealership I have ever dealt with. These people are the epitome of sleazy car salesmen. Do yourself a favor and do not walk through their doors! If you do, READ THE FINE PRINT they breeze right through when signing, you will end up a happier customer then we were. We will never shop West Herr again.

Best buying experience ever!

onI had gone to several other dealerships because I wanted to see what was out there when it was time to trade in my lease. I knew what I wanted to spend, and what type of vehicle I wanted. I was so tired of shopping by the time I walked into West Herr I really did not have very high expectations. Well...I was greeted when I walked in and was introduced to Kristin Smith. I gave her a lust of what I was looking for and she got right to work. She didn't try to push me into something I didn't want, she was honest, she listened to everything I said and she sold me a car. She sold me exactly what I wanted, no BS. Kristin is a lovely woman who knows her stuff! The entire staff was very nice. I love my car! I will be using their service department when I need something too! A+++++ and I can be a tough critic. Keep up the good work!!!

onI was just in the store and the building is being remodeled. What's awesome though is that they are all so positive and smiling. I love bringing my car here.

Lack of honesty, integrity, training, knowledge and communication

on1/12/2014, 2002 Olds Alero had puddle of power steering fluid under the car. We delivered it to WH Chevy for diagnosis and recommended service. Service Mgr. John T. informed us that both power steering lines were leaking and needed to be replaced ($690). Also, if replaced the pressure would "blow out" the leaking power steering drum (this happening is impossible), $1,200 to replace. Also, claimed we had a transmission leak, needed an oil change(which was done 2 weeks earlier, elsewhere) along with other minor items. Then informed me the car was unsafe to drive and will "NEVER" pass inspection again. Chose to have the vehicle towed elsewhere. A certified master mechanic diagnosed the situation as a faulty clamp on the power steering return line. Cost of repair $10 for a new clamp and $14 to refill the power steering reserve. Numerous voice mail messages were left for dealership GM Melissa A. to discuss this matter. Unfortunately, those have been ignored and never returned. Final nail: Charged me 1 hour labor for their troubles.

Incorrect Diagnosis - $1800 Difference!

onI am from Rochester NY and I was driving to Buffalo NY (an hour away) in my recently purchased used Chevy Aveo. My car was overheating and I nursed it to the closest Chevy dealer, Glen Campbell Chevy in Buffalo. The service was good at first, and Tom Lobosco hit me up for $1800 for a heater core replacement. On a hunch, I called the dealer in Rochester that sold me the car and they said they would fix it for free since I had just purchased it. I had it towed there, took an Amtrak back to Rochester (on my birthday mind you). A day later my dealer called me and told me the car was ready and that it wasn't a heater core issue, it was simply a hose clamp. I have driven the car nearly 1000 miles since with no issue, so it was obviously just the clamp. I asked Glen Campbell for the $100 diagnostic fee back in good faith and they will not unless I drive all the way back to Buffalo so they can check it. I told them that I would not be inconvenienced any further, and to call the service manager at my dealership. After speaking with him, they did not call me back, and have maintained a hardline stance in not refunding my money, not even partially. Eventually I was hung up on by Jay Campbell the general manager. The issue is currently being handled by Chevy Corporate. I will never go to Glen Campbell again, and this honestly shakes my confidence in ever buying Chevy again (NEVER had these problems with Honda or Subaru...).

Very disappointed

onIn May of 2008 I was in the process of looking for a new Chevy Malibu. I went to Campbell because I had a good service experience years ago with another Chevy I had there, The salesman was a [violative content deleted]. I went in knowing that I had a $1,000 dollar incentive avialable. With a posting of the $1000 ad right behiind him, he said that he was only aware of $500 and would "talk to his manager". He came back to gleefully to inform me that he could get me another $500. While he was away I was overhearing the same story in another cube. A different saleman with a different customer same story. That's all I needed. I left.
