Service Check up

Particularly liked the fact that the tire rotation and balance was included in the oil change and check up. Am still a little perturbed that the battery has not been checked until it failed. Since it is under cover. I do not believe it gets check on a routine basis.

heres a story of how a building full of strangers treated me like family

ok first off i need to say i was at first a [violative content deleted] to these people and they STILL went above and beyond for my wife and i, who werent even from mississippi!!!!!!! first off. our 05 caddy SRX left us on the side of the road. we called george carr freaking out. had the car towed there AFTER HOURS. a man named baxter waited there for us he rented us a BRAND NEW car for next to nothing. this is just the tip of the iceburg. there were 5 or 6 people in the service dept. ALL OF WHICH WERE COURTEOUS, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND MORE THAN WILLING TO HELP me understand what was going on with my car. a service guy named kevin worked on my car. this guy was awesome. he spent all day trying to replicate the issue we had to no avail. after 8 hours in the sun checking my car out. ( he worked his [violative content deleted] off, i was there) they charged me NOTHING. NOT A CENT. driving out of the place, the car stalls again. [violative content deleted] well, pull it back in. the car has no warranty we thought. well, kevin does enough research to figure out it needs a very expensive repair. he also found a warranty bulletin on the car where it doesnt cost me anything out of pocket. LET ME STRESS THAT THE [violative content deleted] WHERE I LIVE WOULD NEVER DO THIS. ANY OF THIS. ESPECIALLY FOR A STRANGER. i love these people and would send anyone here for anything. anyone who has had problems with them in the past should go back. they rock. everyone was smiling, helpful, and not a moron in sight,. i WILL drive 400 miles to come back here to buy my next car neal carnes georgia redneck

Lousy Service, Rude Owner

Without a doubt the worst service I have ever experienced. My mother's took her car to george carr in vicksburg for service. To make a long story short, when she finally realized that they were treating her unfairly, then she asked me to intervene - since I bought the car and it was in my name. I found george carr to be rude, condesending, downright nasty, and a [violative content deleted]. Eventually I contacted the gm home office trying to get help with getting the car repaired, they provided none (even though I told them that my mother had requested a buick, we were going to buy her a Toyota). george and taye everett, their service manager at the time, lied to the gm home office and told them that we had picked the car up when it was actually still on george carr's lot. We had paid for repairs but the car was still doing the same thing. After about 5 - 6 months of taking the car in to george carr, picking it up at the beginning of the week, only to have the car do the same thing over again before the week was out, and having to return it to george carr; I asked george carr himself to say that he could not repair it so that we could take it somewhere else and deal with some type of refund later, he never would. This scenario went on for almost a year, I still have the paperwork. During that time he did not provide a loaner for my mother, there was no regard for appointments or other things that she might have to do. Once when I went into his office to talk to him about constantly having to bring the car back every week and him not providing a loaner vehicle so that she could get around, he turned his back to me - I asked him point blank if that were his way of dismissing me. Finally in frustration, we brought the car to Jackson, Mississippi and took it to another shop, the car was repaired in one day. I do not know why he and taye everett lied and provided such poor service in this instance. But I do know that dealing with george carr is why I will never own another gm product, if they cannot police their dealerships then I do not need to do business with them. We are thinking about getting her something else and I am looking at a Ford.
