Luther Brookdale Honda "Class Act"
I have been a client of Luther Brookdale Honda for over 20years and have yet to be disappointed or frustrated. They have a "State of the Art" Facility, Very Professional Staff that have exceeded my expectations with Service and Product Knowledge. GREAT people to work with!!! Keep it up Brookdale Honda :) If you're getting a Honda, Brookdale Honda is the place to get it....hands down.
I recently bought a 2010 Hyundai Elantra from Luther Brookdale Honda. It had 36,000 miles on it. The front right tire was flat when I went to test drive the car. Salesmen had air put in the tire. All the tires on the car were close to the wear mark..salesmen tried to deny the tires were bad. We negotaited the price of the car down $200 lower on account of the tires, however we specifically asked that the dealership would plug the tires or whatever needed to be done so that I would not have a flat tire on my way home. Needless to say, when I picked the car up 4 days later, the salesmen said that the tire pressure was the exact same as when he last filled it up so they didn't need to do anything. I bought the car on a thursday..every day after I had the car both the tire that was originally flat when I testdrove and then the back right tire were flat to the rim. So neither tire on the right side of the car were checked out. While waiting for assistance to change my tire after the back tire went flat I finally figured out how to change the radio station. The radio on the car was strategically set to the only station in the car that worked by the dealership. All of the other stations are static. I picked the car up at night and I did not figure out how to change the radio station until I was waiting for assistance with my flat tire. The setup of the radio was different than most and it was dark out when I drove home. So I listened to static once the station that the radio was set on quit coming in. And because it was not the original manufacturer's radio, the radio is not covered under warranty by the dealership. To top it off, a piece underneath the front of my car fell when nothing was hit, it was just being drove. The piece is now broke off and the manager is doing nothing about it. I don't know if it was taped up originally or why it broke off. When I talked to the manager he said that they do not cover the radio and that they do not inspect those features. Someone must have known that the radio did not work that it was magically on the only station that somewhat came it for a little bit of my drive home. Very poor service when it came to standing behind something that they sold. Also disappointed that they did not fix what they said they would. Very disgusted and feeling very deceived. I originally thought I was getting a "fair deal", however, I was wrong.
I purchase a preowned 2015 Civic 6 weeks ago. The car was missing drivers floor matt. After 3 attempts with my salesman (promised me a matt), I stopped by dealership (25 miles away), Noah, the preowned manager said he would get back to me within a day. NO call. I guess after they get sale and $$$, don't care anymore, or care enough to fulfill promise.
Crappy Sales Experience
This week I purchased a 2016 Honda CRV and I was so excited about buying this car as I did a lot of research and was ready to get what I wanted. This experience was awful. The salesman that I got was so pushy and persistent that it was extremely stressful. When I decided to purchase the car, then harder sale techniques were involved, buying a Protectant for the whole car and buying a 10 year extended warranty. The cost of this was about $3,200.00-3,500.00 additional money. The deal being that you had to buy this right then and there you couldn't wait but you had to decide immediately. The worst part is that your payments went up drastically and stayed high for 6 years if you bought this extended warranty. Even if you decided to cancel the extended warranty you still had to pay the higher monthly payments for 6 years. What was to be a great experience was awful and I am so glad it is over. I never want to go to Brookdale Honda again and I never want to see the salesman again. I am so sorry he ever approached me and I am angry with myself that I didn't walk out the door at that time. I am sure there are salesman that aren't this way but I was unfortunately approached by one who was extremely hard selling. The credit person was equally pushy, I am sure this works well for some people, it doesn't work well for me and I would never recommend anyone to go to Brookdale Honda. I realize this is a gigantic dealership but some of the sales team need to take a course in customer reality. So what was to be a really exciting time for me, was overshadowed by 2 really irritating sales people that ruined my experience and Brookdale Honda lost a new customer for the future.
Good, timely work; painless wait
Went in for some warranty work that was supposed to take two hours. As there's really no place to walk to from the dealership, I brought a book and an iPad. The waiting rooms are spacious, comfortable, and offer free coffee, tea, cocoa and cookies. There's a special room that shows kid videos for the little ones, and, best of all, none of the waiting room TVs were tuned to Fox "News" or MSNBC -- they don't inflict politics on a captive audience. This is where I'll go for ALL warranty work from now on.
The place really cares about customers and they made me comfortable the whole time and offered me updates on the process of repairing my car. Very helpful and supportive staff as well.
0 stars! Avoid if possible!
Despite having scheduled an appointment online and no hearing back from the dealership I went in at the scheduled time. I was faced with a confused receptionist before handed off to a rude sales person. He was rushing me on to the lot before he even knew what I wanted. I had specifically came in regarding a sale price on a car that he claimed not to have seen in the inventory until we walked to the lot and saw it directly out front. Then he proceeded to tell me that there was no sale price. After that I got a lecture about calling ahead at car places so as not to waste time. So, I left and took all my money down the block where I bought from someone that wanted to waste their time with me.
I went in looking for a used SUV from a different maker that was on the lot. Joe showed me a few cars I asked to see. I settled on a new Honda, not only because of the quality of the vehicle, but also because of the genuine respect Joe demonstrated to me. Very pleasant buying experience!
Bought a used Accord
I called on a specific vehicle that I saw on the Luther website. When I called to inquire about the car I spoke with Chris Neice. He took care of my credit application over the phone and worked with the finance department to get me approved. The whole process took less than three hours and I was approved for the car I wanted. Chris had a vacation planned so he passed my info off to James Miller, who took care of the rest of the sale and showed me the car later that night when I came in to look at it. When I sat down with the finance department there was a misunderstanding and the monthly payment was higher than what I was originally told. I brought this up and without hesitation, they adjusted the numbers to get my payment down to ehat I was originally told it would be. Ultimately I left the dealership in a great car for a great price and my experience with Luther Brookdale Honda was nothing short of excellent.
Worst place to go
Worst place to go..... never shop here .... customer is not a priority for them. I just spend 15 minutes and realized their attitude. I tried to submit without any rating, but system not allowing.... so giving 1 star...bit not worth of it
Joe was super
Joe was extremely patient and helpful in getting me a good deal for my new Honda CR-V. This is my second Honda from this dealership. I think they are the best. Their service department is excellent too. Kathy S
Another Great Experience
Just bought my 5th Honda from Brookdale Honda. Coming out of a lease where I had greatly exceeded the annual mileage limit, Jon Tearle worked to find a great solution and get us into a new CRV which my daughter is completely in love with.
Review of Jim General Manager update 4/1/15
In short, apparently the review cant be removed but I have called and explained to Edmunds I would like it removed. I was contacted by the GM yesterday evening and saw to it all of my concerns were addressed. By the end of the conversation I told him I would remove the review, if at all possible.
Bought a TSX
I felt that customer serviced was not followed all the way through like it should of been with my purchased but Ryan did reached out to me and made things right. Thanks
BUYER BEWARE_FINANCE EXTENDED WARRANTY SHAM
BUYER BEWARE_FINANCE EXTENDED WARRANTY SHAM The sales rep Victor was super fabulous to work with so let me start there and if not for my experience with the finance team I would have rated this really high overall! The finance guy Adam was shady. I purchased a used car that was still under the original warranty and at the time of the purchase they gave me a $500 service credit which chose the under car rust proofing. However I did state I was interested in discussing extended warranties. There was a lot going on as I did not intend to purchase a car that day - I brought my other car in for recall repairs. I was going to start looking for a new used car in a few months. Since it was 2 hours to wait for my car I thought I would talk to a sales person about inventory turn over and test drive the care that was one on my bucket list to look at. Which I did and test drove the car I was interested in. They didn't have all of the parts to make the repairs on my recall and wouldn't have them until March (next month) and if I took my car from the lot I would have had to sign a waiver that Honda would not be liable for anything that happened while still driving the car. They did offer me a loaner during this time. Since I was interested in trading it in within a few months I decided I would just push up the purchase of the used car. There was a lot going on and I had already been there for 2-3 hours having to borrow a car to run home and get the title. When I decided on rust proofing and said I was interested in the extended warranty that is when I was taken advantage of. Instead of talking to me about warranties the finance guy Adam presented the monthly payment - when I asked "What about discussing the extended warranty" he said it was factored already into the monthly payment. I was thinking it was the one that was listed on the $500.00 service credit which was acceptable. At the time of signing it was just that - sign here, sign here, initial here, sign here. By this time I had been there almost 4 hours, was exhausted and I just wanted to go home. So I did sign all documents. The next day when I read the papers I noticed that he sold me the most expensive extended warranty without any discussion. He made my selection for me! NEVER did he talk to me about the extended warranty - he just put the most expensive on purchase agreement and factored into the monthly payment. I was pissed and immediately called him - which he was off that day so I left him a message to call me back....never did. Then I called the finance manager who boldly said to me "well you signed all of the documents" and that I would have to take this up with the "finance person". Yes I did sign the documents.....that is true But being in a situation where you can't take your own vehicle home and walk away without owning the liability if I or my family gets into an accident and pushing up my purchase timing adds stress and exhaustion to your day. I own signing the paper work but the fact that I signed the documents does not make it OK for the finance person Adam of Brookdale Honda to totally not disclose or discuss extended warranty options and make the selection for you. Nor does it make it OK to totally take advantage of you under a time of stress for any human being. Do you want me to actually come back as a future customer or not? I guess not since you did not return my calls so we could have a conversation about what happened with this transaction. BUYER BEWARE.....DON'T LET THEM DO THIS TO YOU AS WELL. STOP THE TRANSACTION OR DELAY NO MATTER HOW STRESSED OUT YOU ARE OR EXHAUSTED. I am sure you all could use that extra $30.00 a month for gas for your car or groceries for you family. Never again Adam and shame on you for knowing taking advantage of people during this stressful time. You have no moral standards.
This is my 4 th vehicle I have bought from Brookdale Honda. My salesman Jon always gets me best price and options I need. This is my dealership for life!
Best service ever! Ben is a super Star!
I have shopped many dealerships in the past. All Luther dealerships are good but Ben at Luther Honda goes above and beyond all service expectations.
service is important !
service on our honda fit has been done with a professional concept and in a good timely manner...felt very respected by service rep-laurel hansen...thank you...and, thank you to all the service mechanic's who do the labor!
Maurice did a tremendous job seeing that all my requests were addressed in a timely fashion. He gave me updated quotes to the service and followed through. He and Zach always do their best to see that I am satisfied.
I came in for an oil change on my Honda Accord. They alerted me to a few maintenance items that were due or almost due to be completed. I gave approval to proceed and they finished the work in a reasonable amount of time and all seems to be done correctly.
My experience was great from start to finish even with my bad credit
