Love my new Bronco!

by msoukup on 01/09/2024

I had a fantastic experience at Inver Grove Ford! I came in, knowing that I wanted a Bronco, but didn't want to be excessive in my monthly lease payment compared to what I was currently paying for my Kia. Brian & team helped to customize options to get within my desired payment range AND managed to find an available vehicle that was coming into Minnesota! The process was so smooth, and I love my new vehicle!

Single best experience in 30 years of buying cars

by Martin515 on 07/04/2018

I’ve purchased at last a dozen cars from at least 10+ dealerships in the past 30 years, and this most recent purchase from Inver Grove Ford was easily the best. From working with Tabatha the sales rep, to Ben in finance, it was smooth, fast, friendly, and professional. Top marks for this team. I’ll be back!

Inver Grove Ford

I have been buying and leasing cars from Inver Grove Ford for over 20 years from One salesman Jim Reud, he is the reason I keep coming back every year. Mr. Reud is very honest and professional. He will not pressure you but he will help any way he can to make sure you’re satisfied.

Stay away from the service department!

by captain_fluffy on 10/15/2014

A little while ago, I had a problem with another Ford dealership in the area that had scratched my rims. Long story short, they finally replaced all of my rims for free (since they did damage them) I brought my car to IG Ford to have them see about mounting my tires on my new rims without damaging them. I oversaw the process personally and they did a great job the first time around. Then, after a while, it was time for me to replace my tires. So I came back to IG Ford in hopes we could have the same results as last time. Turns out, I was sorely mistaken. I was not allowed to watch over the process this time, I was told I had to wait in the waiting room until it was done. So I did. Before I waited for over 2 hours for them to mount my tires, I told the mechanic that was going to be working on it what the previous mechanic did that made it so the rims didn't get scratched like before. I told him the prior mechanic used plenty of lube on the tire AND rim to prevent it from being damaged. He scoffed and said, "nah, it's not good to do that because then the tire can slip and not seat on the rim". Considering how I just witnessed the prior mechanic mount all 4 tires without a hitch...what do I know right? Over 2 hours passed for my tires to get mounted. 2 hours!!! I go out there and take a look at how things are going, and sure enough...2 out of the 4 rims were scratched and gouged. The other 2 looked fine, and to prevent from having a tire disposal fee, I decided to take the old ones home. Upon inspection of the 4 old tires, 2 of them were drenched with lube, and the other 2 were bone dry. Gee...guess that advice that the previous mechanic gave me made sense huh? Why else would 2 of the tires have an excessive amount of lube on them, and other 2 don't? Meanwhile 2 of my rims are scratched and gouged, and 2 aren't?? Needless to say, I tried to arrange things with the service manager to replace the 2 rims that they damaged. I even tried to help them out with the replacement process. I located a set of 4 rims on eBay for cheaper than what they would have had to pay for new ones!! After a month and a half, I had just about enough. I had lined up an attorney to take them to small claims court, and said if this isn't fixed by this Friday, we're going to court. Finally, once they realized I meant business, the service manager...above the service manager I had been talking to...miraculously came back from vacation in time to ok the replacement of my 2 rims. In the end, I took my car back to the other dealership and let them put them on because now, thanks to my car's low profile tires, forced them to get a new tire machine. Also, I once had my car in there for an oil change, which took another 2 hours!!! 2 hours to change oil on a car, when most Quicklane dealerships, have it done, at the very most, an hour! They only had 2 people working the lanes, so it makes sense that they can only get them done that fast. But that is ridiculous. Then, I had a small bulb out. The mechanic told me about it, I said, yeah sure, go ahead and replace it. I've been to places like Jiffy Lube and Valvoline in the past, and they don't charge you labor to install a bulb, they just do it. Figured that's how it would work here. Oh lord, was I mistaken again! They charged me $20 to put in a 194 bulb. TWENTY DOLLARS, to put in a bulb that is no bigger than a Nickel!! Afterwards, I complained to the good ol' service manager again, and she said how they're a union shop, and it's a good thing it's not a VW, because she used to be the service manager at a VW dealership, and the labor rate there for smaller things than bulbs, was a lot more. Really?? I should be thankful it's not a VW?? Ya know what, you're right. I should be grateful that i'm at your dealership where i'm only charged TWENTY DOLLARS to replace a 194 bulb, rather than anything more at another dealership. I'm so thankful that i'm only charged that much for something so small, because lord knows if I were somewhere else in this big scary world...I might have to pay more!! What a crazy person I am for thinking that's outrageous. The mechanic, and the service writer did not inform me that it would be that much to put in. If I knew it was going to be that much, I would have done it myself. In the end, stay away from the service department here. They are incompetent, they treat you like you're an idiot, they treat you like you're going to sit back and take whatever they have to give to you...regardless of how exorbitant the cost, or how badly they damage your vehicle. As far as the sales department goes, I came here with my family one time after the auto show to take advantage of the $50 gift card that Ford sends out, and the salesman was very anxious to get the drive over and done with, kind of annoying when you're trying to figure out if you like a vehicle or not.

What happened to the best service in town

by GilQ on 09/23/2013

I bought my 2008 Fusion from this dealer and had the service done here for many years. During that time I had nothing bad to say about their service or their product, I was very happy with it. Last week I wanted a aftermarket trailer hitch installed on the car so that I could get rid of the truck that I use twice a year! I drop the car off the night before, when I called the next day I was told that the car would be ready to go at 7:00pm, 26 hours after I dropped it off. When I got there, at 7pm, I went into the casher and paid for the hitch and installation. Nothing was said that there was any problems. The runner brought the car around for me and said there you go. They did not take the time to show me what was done or how to use anything. During my inspection I found out the Ball was missing (which was paid for) and the pin that held the receptor was nowhere to be found. I went into the parts area and found out that they would have to order the parts and they would be ready for me to pickup in the afternoon. For some reason, I thought that I had paid for the installation already! The next day when I went into parts, they handed me the ball and pin when I got there. I explained that I wanted them to ensure I had the right parts. They sent me back out to the car to get the receptor and bring it back into them. The pin was the wrong size!! It turned out that the original pin was up inside the receptor and chose that time to fall out! They put the ball on the receptor for me and sent me packing again. I installed the hitch in the parking lot to ensured that all was fine, It was. The only thing I can say about this is “really bad service” The next day l sent them an email and received no response from them at all. Would have figured I would have gotten a "Looking into it" at least but nothing! You tell me, would you take your car/truck back there, not me.

New car purchase

by greatnana on 04/10/2013

I was greated upon entering and was assigned a sales rep immediatly Greg was open, friendly and respectful. He asked pointed questins about what I was looling for and my financial situation, when I advised that I has filed bancruptcy several years go, he assured me that he would find someting for me. He never treated me like I was any different than anuone else. After running my cerdit he said that I had done a great job in re-establishing my cerdit rating!! I left the dealership with a brand new Ford Focus with apayment within my budget. I have recommended the dealership to others and will continue to do so. I will not but another vehicle anywhere else!!

Thank You

by BlueChariot on 03/19/2013

I recently purchased a Ford Escape SEL with the help of Jim J. as my sales associate. Jim was extremely accommodating, very attentive and gave me some great ideas and suggestions when purchasing the vehicle. He's a wonderful sales associate. I felt very comfortable with my experience. Tammy E. and Catrina C. were also so very friendly and helpful. Their bright, sunny personalities make them great ambassadors for your company. I've had to return to the dealership for some minor tweaks and everyone at Ford, i.e., Eric L., was so great to work with. Extremely patient with me while I tried to master all the electrical gadgets that were new to me! I have always purchased Toyota's and was actually looking to purchase a Nissan this time around after I lost faith in Toyota's quality. But after researching vehicles for the needs that best suited my taste, I was sold on the Ford Escape. I absolutely LOVE my SUV. But I also love the overall experience I had at your dealership. From the selling floor, the aftermarket sales, the financing department to the service department, your pressure free, friendly and helpful environment made my visit very comfortable and helped ease some of the stress that is associated with purchasing a new vehicle. Thank you all for great customer service. You all deserve a much-appreciated pat on the back!

OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE

by dlmore on 05/01/2012

I've always had my service done here on my 2000 F-150. So when I stopped in to discuss the purchase of a new vehicle it was a no brainer as to where I would be buying it. As soon as I walked in Cole was the first person to help me out. He did everything he could to get me exactly what I wanted. If I could rate him higher I would definitely give him a 10. He and everyone at the dealer went far up and beyond expectations. They really do put the customer first and will do anything it takes to make you happy.

Complete overcharge

by zscher on 06/11/2011

First of all, they charged $200 bucks "just to look at it," as they said. Pulling the codes at my local shop costs $75, and they'll apply half of that to repairs if you have the work done there. This dealership just takes $200 right off the top. My vehicle needed a cooling pump for the electrical system. Silver State Ford Parts online has a price of $166 for the pump, with a MSRP of $281. What did Inver Grove Ford charge? $389. You should only go here if (1) your car's under warrant, (2) you need to, like if you've got a hybrid battery that fails, or (3) you routinely start fires with $20 bills, just because you can. Otherwise, stay away.

Very Pleased

by rstein3 on 08/23/2010

I was at Inver Grove Ford over the weekend due to my car not starting. After having to have it towed in I was a little frustrated. The staff there was so understanding and helpful, offered me a free shuttle ride home or to call and schedule a rental vehicle for me. I wanted to wait there until they figured out what was wrong with my vehicle, the service writer then showed me where the customer lounge was. After a short while, the service advisor that had helped me when I got there came out, explained in detail what had happened and what had to be done to fix it. He also had all the pricing information ready. After deciding to go ahead and have the repairs done he again asked if I would like a ride home or a rental vehicle...Everyone that I had to work with was so helpful and understanding to my situation. ~Rachel

Horrible Service Department

by lmparrott on 12/29/2009

Do not take your car to Inver Grove Ford. Their service department does a horrible job. I have had my vehicle in 3 times in 2 months because it keeps having the same problem, but they still can't seem to figure out what is causing it, though they charge me for all the repairs that don't work. Their staff is unfriendly and uninterested. They broke my seat doing a repair and then attempted to charge me for fixing their own mistakes. They had my car for 2 weeks once because they didn't have a part. They never seem to have the parts for anything. So far, nothing they have repaired on my car actually works. Save your money and take your car to [other dealerships].

DO NOT GO HERE if you wish to be treated with respect

by rjsams on 11/03/2009

I have been shopping for a used vehicle, and I have very clear ideas of what I need. Of course, like anyone, I can be tempted by a pretty vehicle that is just at the outer edge of what I can afford. I went to Inver Grove Ford to see what they had in inventory that might meet my needs. I ended up test-driving a truck that was ideal for me. Inver Grove Ford is one of those dealerships that "hides the ball" with regard to the price. While test-driving, I asked what the price was numerous times, and was just told, "we will work with you to make a deal." That should have been my first clue, but the salesperson was otherwise very nice and knowledgeable, and the truck was perfect. They appraised my truck, giving me what I wanted for it. I should note that I went shopping with a financing approval from my credit union, but this is the sort of dealership that won't give you a price on the vehicle until their finance person starts running numbers. So I couldn't even tell if the truck was in my price range or not, though I knew it was a stretch. I met with the finance person, but we got numbers that were just a bit more than I wanted to spend. They insisted that I take the truck with me (on a "free" lease), because I had an appointment that I had to get to, and they don't want you out of their sight while you are a fish on the hook. Since it was a Saturday, I ended up having the truck for the weekend. The finance person wanted to talk to her lenders during business hours on Monday, because she thought she could get me a better deal. This was her idea, not mine. I was back at the dealership with the truck right when they opened Monday morning, was there for over an hour, but we just couldn't get to a payment I was willing to pay. I was ready to walk away at that point. However, the salesperson and finance person insisted that we were still working the deal and I should take the truck another day. I tried a number of options myself, as did they, but concluded that this just wasn't the truck for me. I returned it again right when they opened on Tuesday morning. The salesperson and the finance person were very understanding, and I was asking that they keep an eye out for the truck I wanted. I would have been happy to come back. UNTIL, the sales manager came out and began to berate me--I should have done my homework, why didn't I know that I couldn't do this, they thought they had a deal, they jumped through every hoop I demanded (demanded?) of them, they'll be nice and take the truck back but I should have known, blah, blah, blah. It was so incredible I couldn't think of a thing to say. Then he turned and walked away, while the rest of us looked at each other in embarrassment. Needless to say, I took my truck back and I will never go back there again.
