The worst customer experience of my life.

Summary: definitely the worst customer experience of my life. Sexist innuendo (can a girl really buy a car?), broken appointments with no apologies or explanations, and a horrendous paperwork snafu with the title. The Story: I purchased a 2015 Forester from Patriot Subaru of North Attleboro in March, paid cash in full for the sale. Patriot agreed to title the vehicle for me in my home state, since Iâm a student and temporary resident (for a fee, of course), so I could keep my plates. Buying the car wasnât a great experience - my salesperson had me drive out to the dealership to buy the car when there was no one there to handle the paperwork and over the buying process made some comments insinuating that I (as a woman? as a young woman?) couldn't drive stick, and couldn't sign for this vehicle by myself; then the financial manager was a half hour late to a scheduled appointment the next day, with an excuse but no apology. Rude, but I was willing to overlook this so I could get the vehicle I wanted. Iâll acknowledge that it was a relatively complicated case, involving an out-of-state registration, but it took a month for the temporary registration to come in, during which time I heard nothing from the dealership - no updates, ever. And when I called and emailed, it was difficult to get anyone on the phone. I took possession of the vehicle in April, with the assurance that Iâd get a title in the mail. Three months went by with no sign of the title. In August, I called the DMV and was told that they never received the paperwork or payment. I followed up with calls and emails to Patriot but it took multiple contacts for me to get through to the right person. After a few weak assurances from the title clerk at Patriot that they were dealing with it and talking with the 3rd party agent who handles out-of-state registrations, and after I spent hours on the phone with the folks at the DMV (who were quite nice, it turns out), I stopped hearing from the title clerk at Patriot - she never picked up my calls, and didnât return emails. When a simple âweâre working on it, this is what weâre doing, we havenât forgotten youâ would have done the trick for me as a customer, I got nothing. I called the dealership several times to speak with sales managers, who could give me no information and seemed confused about the details of the issue. Finally, after a manager emailed me and told me, falsely, that it was taking so long because the car I bought was titled in Michigan (it was a Rhode Island title), I emailed the whole managerial staff and the owner, detailing my title issue and my communications with them in the 6 weeks since I had discovered there was a problem, and letting them know I would be submitting a complaint to Consumer Protections in the Mass. Attorney Generalâs Office if I didnât hear from them. Needless to say, I did not hear from them. My last communication with them was that email. However, this last email must have gotten someone at Patriot moving on my case, or at least tired of dealing with me directly, because I got a call from their 3rd party agent, who was attentive, responsive to my calls, and called me with updates. Finally, in the first week of October, the 3rd party took care of the problem. I would NEVER recommend Patriot Subaru of NA to anyone hoping to buy a Subaru in the RI/Southeastern Mass area. Their sexism, rude and dismissive behavior, and lack of follow-through on the title issue were unacceptable. Subarus are great cars. Skip Patriot and look for another dealer.

I had a very wonderful, easy going, supportive experience at Patriot Subaru. I would highly recommend Brittany helping you buy your next new car. Christine and the internet Department was a great help too and because of her cheerful personality and happy disposition I chose to shop at Patriot Subaru over any other Subarus. I love my brand new Subaru Impreza it is so fun to drive! Even the finance guy Max was great! And since I'm dog obsessed having a few dogs in the building really made my night.

Elizabeth Husted is a very knowledgeable representative of the dealership. My wife and I test drove a 2015 Forester Premium with eyesight. After reviewing the pricing sheet I sent an email to Ms. Houston asking for itemized list of expenses contained in pricing sheet. Elizabeth Husted Questions from quote 4/19/2016 Subaru Forester 4dr CVT 2,5 Premium w/eyesight Stock GFF3925 The quote has two entries that require an itemized explanation Doc. Fee $377.00 Fees $210.00 Please itemize and explain and explain each charge in detail Answer The document fee is a standard fee all dealerships have that vary from $300-$500, it is to handle and process legal documents. The registration fee + inspection is included in the $210, this is usually the amount to do these things but if we over estimated, we will send you a check for the difference. Hope this helps! Patriot Subaru is selling cars the way most people think they should be sold. Many other dealers don't do as well. At Patriot, they push sales but gently; they show cars by driving them inside (especially appreciated in cold or wet weather); they have a good selection of high-quality, practical cars and it's all done in a clean, bright, well-maintained building. Also, they don't haggle about price. They start with an MSRP, reduce it by a good amount (which is a good alternative to the "TrueCar" negotiation process) and then you choose to buy or not. We've bought two new Subarus there in the past year and I don't hesitate to recommend them.

I went into Patriot Subaru with my boyfriend's Impreza to get an oil change for him. I left after a few hours because I met some of the staff at Patriot, including Elizabeth "Betty" Husted. Lucky for Betty, I volunteered to bring my boyfriend's car in because I wanted to start looking for a new used vehicle. Betty met with me, asked me some questions, and before I knew it, we were test driving a used 2012 Impreza that had everything my little Subaru heart desired. I did not purchase that day. I actually purchased about a month later. Within that month, Betty kept in touch in the most friendly, but professional way. When the time was finally right, I made another appointment, took the car for a spin, and that was that. The process was super easy, informative, and friendly. They are not like other car dealerships, which is what I had heard from others, and it rang true. Betty and staff were great and I definitely recommend ANYONE who wants to purchase a Subaru to Patriot.

New Subaru Forester

After 10 years it was time to trade in my 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer. My wife and I did some research and decided to go with the Subaru Forester because of the gas mileage and reputation. After visiting other Subaru dealerships we decided to purchase the car from Patriot. Everyone we talked to at Patriot was well informed and never pressured us to purchase anything. They were able to answer every question we had and help us decide on the car that was right for us (which was not the more expensive one that we originally were thinking of going with). I would highly recommend visiting Patriot.

My wife and I stopped into Patriot Subaru last Saturday, looking to get information on their vehicles and test drive the Forrester as well as the Outback. We met with John Wolowicz and he was excellent. John was highly knowledgable, approachable, articulate, and willing to take part in a discussion of our goals. He was responsive and not pushy in the least. The test drives were helpful; John modified the routes to reflect the type of driving I expect to do. Their analysis of our trade-in was fair and by the end of the day we were sitting with finance (Max was incredibly kind and knowledgable) in order to close the sale. This was my first dealership experience and I can't imagine it being more enjoyable or effective. I highly recommend Patriot Subaru and their staff.

Betty and James worked so hard with me to find the exact vehicle that I was looking for. It wasn't easy to find a 2015 impreza hatchback sport but they did. Betty was awesome and fun to chat with while they searched relentlessly for the car. I love the no pressure outlook they have.

I was very hesitant about buying a new car just because of the buying process. There is something very good going on at Patriot Subaru. It starts with the people, who genuinely seem to enjoy and take pride in working there. Additionally, their no commission, everything up front approach was refreshing and made me feel comfortable taking my time and asking questions. Maceo was incredibly helpful and his excitement was contagious. James and Max were also very helpful regarding my lease. If you're buying a Subaru, there is no reason to go anywhere else.

I recently bought a 2015 Impreza (new with only 17 miles on it) and was thrilled with my experience at Patriot Subaru. Throughout the car buying process, each employee was extremely friendly, patient, and non-pushy. People were highly professional, presenting information in a straightforward manner without tricks or games. The only game I played during the process was foosball in the waiting area! Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing car buying experience and it was nice to see so many female employees at a dealership. They also offer a unique lifetime warranty - unlimited time and miles!

Salesman Jim was fantastic! No pressure at all. I bought a 2015 Outback in Aug and it was the best car buying experience I have ever had.
