Awful Experience at Ourisman Mitsubishi

by GoodBusiness84 on 01/05/2017

I was in the market for a seven passenger fuel efficient vehicle to replace an aging minivan we own. I posted a text message from Ourisman Mitsubishi's website for the out the door price for a particular new 2016 Outlander SEL. Patricia Lee called me and later emailed me the out the door price. I emailed couple of days before that I would like to visit for potentially buying a Mitsubishi Outlander - Patricia did not reply back. I called and left a voicemail message couple of hours before going there - again no response. I find it to be unprofessional and disrespectful. The location was convenient. When my wife and I arrived, a salesperson greeted us and led us to Patricia. She offered us seats. She also offered us tea which we declined. The car for which we had the out the door price was not available. Patricia tried to sell us a lower trim Outlander for that price. Then she tried to sell a 1,500 mileage Outlander that was returned back by a customer. At home, I printed out and jot down some notes for myself about car, dealership, and my specific insurance information and brought that along to the dealership. Patricia seized my notes and never returned it. Patricia showed us couple of new 2016 Outlander SEL that were listed on their website for relatively low prices. The real prices were a lot more higher. She agreed the internet prices are teaser prices that reflects incentives that not all customers will qualify for and there are additional hidden fees. She was not able to bring over a new car to show us because the battery was dead. Patricia appeared annoyed when my wife and I were walking around an Outlander to confirm there were nothing wrong with the exterior. She seemed annoyed when we did not show any interest in the 1,5000 mileage car - she was asking annoyingly why 1,5000 miles matter. My wife and I spent more than two hours there ( mostly waiting for information and for the car to be brought for our viewing ). I have visited many dealers and bought a few cars for my extended family during last twenty five years and this is the first time the sales manager did not say hello or otherwise get involved in any discussions or negotiations even though it is a very small dealership and he did not appear to be busy. Patricia started rushing to make us leave around 6 pm for some reason even though we were very serious about buying. May be she was trying to leave for taking care of some personal things? What she could have done is to transfer us to another sales person since there were a few other sales persons available and there were at least 3 hours left before the dealership closes at 9 pm. Patricia appeared annoyed when I asked to give us a breakdown of the "final" price. She told us the sales manager will come over and give us the break down of the price - but he never came. Little later, when I asked if I can offer a price she refused and shook hands and said good bye. As mentioned earlier, the sales manager never said hello or intervened. I strongly discourage anyone from buying or even visiting this dealership.

Recently Purchased Car

by sarena on 08/27/2013

I recently purchased a 2013 Camaro from Oursiman. I tried really hard to wait for the 2014, but I couldn't I just had to have this car. My salesperson was Brian B. and I have never seen anyone that was dilgent about there job and knowledgeable. When I walked through the door with my parents he made sure that I was happy. I have been to several dealers just to look around and Brian was honest and did not sugar coat anything. This is the type of salesperson thay people should be eager to work with when they walk through a dealership. If I had to buy another car Brian would be the person I would want to work with.

Horrible Experience but A few good men

by faiyrb on 05/20/2011

My experience was not unlike many of the reviewers. I felt I was lied too throughout the entire process. They would constantly change the price I owed or the car I wanted wasnt available/not within my price range, or my trade in wasnt the best. I would receive calls to come in quoting me a price for a down payment over the phone, only to get me there and change the price. I wouldnt recommend going there but if you are in DESPERATE need of a new car and dont have the best credit, by all means check them out. Most of them are shady, so PLEASE go see Christian Love or Graham Dixon. They are SUPER honest and most of what I had to deal with wasnt their doing, but management's. They are super patient and never hassled or pressured me into a car. They were very empathetic and the customer service provided by the both of them was impeccable. I had long waiting periods and they made me laugh, shared their stories with me. They actually have Mitsubishi cars themselves which made me feel confident in purchasing one. I have not heard the best reviews about this make/model car. I have a disability, they actually made me feel very comfortable and extended a helping hand from time to time. I shared with them some of the reviews here. They just started working there and felt so horrible. Christian actually asked me what could be done to change the consumer's perception. I would stay away honestly but if you arent in the best financial situation, PLEASE go over and see Christian and Graham, they will certainly treat you with honesty and respect.

Beware of Ourisman Mitsubishi - Marlow Heights

by friendorfoe on 10/27/2010

I purchased a Mitsubishi Endeavor from Ourisman of Marlow Heights during the spring of this year. It was a horrible experience. I was first told to choose a vehicle. It wasn't hard to do, as their inventory is very limited. There was a total of only 10-15 Endeavors to choose from. From that inventory, the only colors were black, silver, and white...totally stripped or top-of-the-line...nothing in-between. I test drove the top-of-the-line Endeavor, worked the numbers, and was given a ball park figure for a monthly payment. I wasn't totally sold on the Endeavor, so I took a day to think it over. When I came to purchase the vehicle, a salesman (different from first) presented me with the BASE...I Mean... BASE model! We went back and forth with the fact that the model was not what I selected the day before. I was told by "management" that I was originally shown the WRONG model. For $650./month, I would think it would have been not only the top of the line, but something better than an Endeavor! Nevertheless, I was desperate to get a new vehicle, and was told that the Chevrolets didn't have a rebate, so I'd have to settle for the STRIPPED Endeavor. I settled, and was ready to go to finance, only to find out that I had to re-do my paperwork because they had LOST MY FOLDER. So, the process began....all over again! Now that the paperwork had been done twice, one would think that the state in which I reside was clear. But not at Ourisman, ALL of the paperwork was completed for MARYLAND registration! MANAGEMENT and salesman were oblivious to the fact that I did not live in Maryland. Meanwhile, finance reprimanded the salesman in my presence! Nice! After being totally humiliated, the salesman walked back to the dealership for new paperwork! Later, I received a notice in the mail that my tags were in. I went to the Cashier, presented the notice, and requested my tags. Well.....no tags were on file...because the registration was never sent to DMV! When the tags FINALLY came in, the registration was for the wrong vehicle! Resulting in another two-week wait for permanent tags. But, by that time, my temporary tags had expired. So, I had to take time off from work to sit in finance for more than an hour to get a new registration and MORE TEMPORARY TAGS! After nearly two months, I received my permanent tags. And, they had the NERVE to ask me to give them a 10 rating. I never received the survey, but to give them a 10...NEVER!!! Ourisman of Marlow Heights is a FARCE!

Unethical: You have been warned

by elle14 on 12/03/2009

I purchased a car in April 2009. If you are really in the need for a car, do not go to them. They use all kinds of angles to get you a car, yet use the same misleading strategies to get as much money as possible from you. They even syck people who appear to be Christians (one man prayed....) on you as you go through the process. They know how to run the "game" well......They prey on the uninformed and those with needs. They put innocent sounding people on the phone from the false advertisements and then take them out the process and replace them with the cunning one once your are there. Believe me....I experienced this (Lied and said the man was in training, then transferred, only to be there the next couple of days.) Then they behave like they do not know you after the process. They smell new money, you are old....... (Customer Service stinks) I will not name call, they know who they are. I thank God for forgiveness. This type of practice will fall one day. They advertised that you can get a car with no money down, then changed it to $99 down then to $2500 down. The get the extra money through in extra, unforseen closing costs. They hustle you and send you on your unmerry way. Learn from me, if you feel uncomfortable and you have been without a car for X amount of time, hold on just a little bit longer. Go Somewhere Else. If you must, and you have been warned, be prepared to pay $500 or more on a car not with 25% plus interest plus extra fees.

DO NOT SHOP HERE THEY ARE [violative content deleted]

by mgracia on 03/11/2009

I bought a car from this dealership in 2/2009. We had been discussing getting a second car but it became necessary when my husband had to leave to work out of town for an extended period of time. Initially we were renting cars but the expense was double our current car note. I heard an add on the radio and the deals sounded reasonable plus we had an additional $1500 for a down payment to reduce the price even further. The salesperson PATRICK is a [violative content deleted]. I told him how much I was willing to spend on a monthly note, what I was looking for, etc. He was [violative content deleted] in not answering direct questions such as "what are the car notes going to look like, what is the interest rate for the loan" and other basic car buying inquiries. In addition to being [violative content deleted] he straight out lied. They offer a "program" were they pay your remaining car loan for you. I specifically stated "if the $3,000 left on my other car is simply added to the price of this car I DO NOT WANT IT" he swore up and down this was not the case...surprise surprise it was added to my final price...and the loan. I have limited space but I could go on about how they lied to my face and were just evil human beings. The icing on the cake was when my mother and I called the dealership 2 hours later to inform them that the needed to take off the additional $3000 because I specifically asked for that to know be on the loan and the manager SUDIP the _____ hung up in my mothers face. Let's just say I had to make a trip up to the dealership but I got the $3000 removed. The dealership quoted a 22% interest rate with a $500 car note for a sedan. That same night I financed through my own credit union for 9% and 300 car note. These guys are [violative content deleted] and what they do should be illegal. I will never recommend them in fact I refuse to even go there for service. Buying a car under time constraints is hard enough but dealing with _____ like them makes you want to scream.

Ourisman [violative content deleted]

by dvlpup2 on 02/16/2009

The car salesman I got contacted by was very polite and friendly. He called me on my cell to say I had been approved for a new car and to come by the dealership. I informed him about me wanting to trade in a used vehicle and purchase a new one. As I pull in to the dealership, the place is like a ghost town(first warning sign). I figured the economy is bad, so maybe that was the reason why the place was empty. I gave him all my info, letting him know that I wanted a five speed due to gas prices. THERE WERE NO FIVE SPEEDS ON THE ENTIRE LOT(second warning sign). I'm pretty sure somebody could order a five speed, but that never got mentioned by the staff. I test drove two vehicles, felt pretty good about purchasing a vehicle the next day and trading my car too. Myself and the salesman agreed on a fair monthly payment to finance the car. The next day I brought my used car, the salesman took it for appraisal, and now we talk business. The salesman takes the deal to his manager who starts to look over the paperwork. Then he starts to ask me questions(third warning sign). He not only tries to increase the payments by $123, but he tells me that I have to put money down! THIS GUY IS A [violative content deleted]! No people skills at all, and flat out tells me that he can't go below this payment amount. I grabbed my keys and headed out.
