Simple

Such friendly, down to earth people. The whole process was quite simple. Hat's off to Joey Hogh and his staff.

dishonest people

by jcd24 on 01/17/2013

This was a horrible expierence dealing with these people. After negotiating a price, a offer was extended. I accepted the offer, but I was told by blake a mistake was made. The price increased by about $1000. After increasing the price, blake wanted to give me a free car wash as a incentive to buy. HOW PATHETIC. These people are dishonest and disingenuous. I alerted them of a competing offer I had received from Bohn Hyundai(which I later accepted). blake and company insinuated that bohn hyundai was doing something possibly underhanded when they(bohn hyundai) gave me a better price than their offer sheet which I had accepted.

Enjoyable car buying experience.

by elantraguy241 on 12/27/2012

College was starting within a month and I didn't even have a car yet. I was pretty nervous since if I had no car I would not be able to attend classes. Prior to going to Northpark Hyundai, I had been reading a car buying guide. Describing how salespeople work, their signals, how a good salesman acts, on and on. A few weeks earlier I accompanied my mother since her friend was trying to find a new car. We went to various dealerships around the area and I got to experience many different salesmen. One particular salesman was focused only on his phone and at one point fell asleep during the test drive! I was pretty shocked and hoped I wouldn't have a similar salesman come time to purchase my car. When it came time for me to find a car I went to Eddie Tourelles since my mother purchased her Sante Fe from there. I was immediately approached by a salesman named Rex. He's a pretty nice guy, our conversation flowed smoothly as if we had known each other for a long time. He wasn't forcing me to look at the expensive cars, rather he tried to point me to cars that might fit a college driver.I brought a checklist with items and areas I should check. Rex was not impatient about my inspection, rather he was surprised and appreciated a potential customer who did their homework and was prepared. I then test drove a used '11 elantra and '10 sentra. After the test drive he introduced me to the sales manager, something the book I read said was a good thing. Rex didn't force me to make a decision on a purchase that day. I told him I had to think about it as buying a car is a big investment. The next day I came back and realized that a new car would be better since I'd have a full warranty. Also as being the first owner I wouldn't drive my car into the ground. I decided on an Elantra. Since Rex only dealt with the Nissan side of Eddie Tourelles, he introduced me to Mike P. on the Hyundai side. Mr. Mike was also very friendly and was patient too as I did another inspection on the new Elantra. One thing Mr. Mike didn't do was introduce me to his Sales manager. As we test drove the car, Mr. Mike wasn't intrusive through talking to the whole time or making the radio loud to hide any road noise. I also had a good connection with him as he has daughters my age. Once it came down to negotiating I printed out prices from other dealerships with similarly equipped Elantras which were cheaper. He looked up the vin #'s and told me those were lower priced because they were manual transmission equipped trims. The sticker was just shy of $19k but we got the price down almost another thousand. The process was not stressful at all, he kept a calm demeanor and that eased the buying process too. At no point did he come across as trying to rush a sale. Once the price was settled, the finances guy was pretty nice as well. All the employees seemed to love their jobs, nobody looked stressed or angry with customers. There was a true passion for their careers displayed. the finance guy answered all our questions without a hiccup and was smiling the whole time. Most likely because I was giving them profit. After those papers were done Mr. Mike shook my hand and congratulated me on my first car. Mr. Rex also came over with a genuine smile on his face and gave me the thumbs up as I left the area. Mr. Mike then introduced me to the service manager. I knew him previous to the purchase since we've spoken to each other when my mother would bring her car in for service. The car was all shiny and waxed when it was presented to me. Mr. Mike then showed me what all the controls did and went through a little introduction of the car. The overall treatment was superb at Eddie Tourelles. Come time for my sister to get her car I will definitely recommend that dealership to her.

STAY AWAY and BEWARE! Tried to scam me so I walked out!

by BlazenG on 12/01/2012

STAY AWAY and BEWARE! I have never been more disappointed attempting to buy a car-have to wonder if they would have tried to pull this crap with a man? I doubt it! What a huge waste of my time and effort! Don’t waste your time with Eddie Tourelles Hyundai! Even with the numbers detailed and provided in writing they tried to cheat me when I arrived. What made me even more frustrated was that I had the salesman go over the numbers once before he transported the car in from AL and then again before I left my house headed to the dealership. I think because I made the mistake of telling him I was in a rental he/they thought I was in a bind and would buy it regardless of that they pulled on me. We are not talking about a huge amount of money-but it is was just a matter of principle. If it was a ‘honest mistake’ (which is what I was given for an explanation) why would a dealership not eat $350.00 to sell me a 38K car [the difference was actually $750-they 'graciously' offered to split the difference with me:(? I WAS FLAT OUT LIED TO and was purposely misled! Bait and switch the oldest trick in the book. I have excellent credit so I didn’t feel ‘tied’ to this dealership-even still the numbers were not what I was provided. I just wasn’t going to give in to an underhanded scam and then feel cheated for the next 8-10 years-each time I looked at the car. Even after going over the entire car (pre-sale inspection) and driving a rental to the dealership I ENDED UP WALKING OUT rather than be manipulated. These are the kind of tactics that give salesman a bad name.
