Great service- BUT!

I had a great experience with my oil change. I made my reservation on-line, but they didn't have my service confirmation, there when I arrived, so...I had to re-confirm what I needed done, since I not only needed an oil change, but also needed a tire rotation and a driving bulb replaced, and they didn't know I needed a rental at the time either, which ALL of this information was indicated on-line. I wish they would utilize the ON-LINE OPTION MORE. Instead, when you call to make an appointment, they tell you...we are First come, first serve, so come in anytime, I DONT LIKE THIS METHOD! I prefer to know what time I need to be there, and expect service once I arrive. But as it turns out, it worked out well, since they didn't even have my "on-line" appointment information, and thankfully, they had a rental car for me to used, and they were not busy...but it was A THURSDAY morning. I also asked for the interior and exterior car cleaning, which WAS COMPLETED, BUT WISH THEY would have cleaned the interior Windows.

No pain oil change

Stopped by for a quick oil change and it was exactly that. Quick and efficient - and free wifi to work as I waited. Pleasant people and good service...

Although the work was not completed in a day, as originally stated, Dennis kept me very well informed and provided me with other wheels until my car was finished. I appreciate the open communication, which kept the frustration out. Thank you.

Alisa was very helpful in letting me know my options and she was good at explaining the condition of my car and gave a detailed explanation of what was being done.Alisa was also proactive in explaining what maintenance issues were coming up in the future,she was spot on in recomending a plan for the future care of my car.

Just stopped in to get oil topped off, because I noticed it was low. They took me in right away changed the oil and did a complete 10,000 check-up. Very short wait

Service here is the best!!

I love both the sales and service people at Lithia. I never would have considered a Volkswagen before buying this one. However, I was treated very poorly by service department at the dealer of my previous car. So, when considering a new car, I never even considered that dealer. So,after shopping around, I found Lithia and bought a Volkswagen. I am so glad I did. I love the car. However, I also love this dealership. Everyone here from the sales person (he even called me to say happy birthday) to the service representatives, to the shuttle driver makes me feel special and glad that I came here. Because of Lithia, I would never even consider going anywhere else for my next new car. Volkswager makes a terrific car -- and Lithia is a great dealer -- an incredible combination. I tell everyone how happy I am with both this car and with this dealership.

Excellent service! No appointment needed. I drove right in and indicated why I was there. The service rep pointed out that the air filter needed to be replaced and showed me the condition of the old one and it was pretty dirty. I agreed to the replacement. Good to have that checked. Thank you!

Won't be back

I have been dealing with this dealership for nine years. During this time my family has purchased or leased eleven vehicles from this dealership and had "all" the maintenance for those eleven vehicles performed by them. It had always been a super place to do business when owned privately, formerly Jordan Motors. About three years ago it was purchased by Lithia Motors. A national rip off chain of new and used car dealerships across the country. The moment Lithia took over things started to go downhill. First, the expected disarray with new rules and ways of doing business etc. Then the service teams starting leaving and all the employees started to change in all departments. Then appointments were never kept or work done on time. My last experience, and I mean my "last" as I won't be back, my car was scheduled for a routine 45,000 mile service which was part of a pre-paid maintenance package. It basically was an oil change and fluid checks, I added tire rotation and balancing. I scheduled my appointment for a Monday morning two weeks in advance on their web page. My car wasn't done until Tuesday night. And when it was done, I had to call them; they never called me to say it was ready. So I'm sure the only reason I got it Tuesday is because I started calling. When I picked it up the service department had just closed and although all the staff were there, they all ignored me, after all they close at 5pm and this is 5:06pm. I was pointed to an empty cashiers desk were I waited for the cashier to show up. Some moments later she arrives ready to do her job and I pay for my rotation and balance. At no time did anyone apologize for having my car for two days, thank me for my business or ask me to come back. So.I won't. Lithia Audi/Volkswagen of Des Moines is a bunch of greedy [violative content deleted]. If you are considering going there for sales or service, don't you deserve better. Mike Spooner p.s. I emailed complaints to the General Manager who didn't respond. When I emailed him about not responding he replied he didn't think I was "asking for anything" so he ignored it. I emailed Lithia cooperate office and that was a waste of electricity, I never heard anything from them. Audi USA on the other hand were more than interested in why I wasn't going to be an Audi customer anymore, but they haven't produced any results to date. BMW here I come!
