Warranty repair perfection

onMy Hyundai Tucson has a dual clutch transmission. Jim Ellis identified the need to perform warranty transmission work. They provided a loaner vehicle and had the repair completed a day ahead of time. My Tucson's transmission is silky smooth now!

Great Sevice Department!

onI have been having a problem with my car for months, I had taken it to a local Hyundai Dealership several times, left it for days and they could not find the problem. I brought it to Jim Ellis Hyundai and within 30 minutes, they were telling me what the problem was and what they were going to do to fix it. When I tell you what a RELIEF that was...FINALLY! They made me feel like family. A big THANK YOU to my Service Advisor Bruce Vernon and my Technician Kevin! You have a customer for LIFE!

Did not received my next oil change sticker

Worst Dealership Experience!!!

onIf I could I would give them ZERO STAR! DO NOT EVER GO THERE! They just want to rip you off and won't have a problem to lie to your face!!!! I made an appointment for checking the rear hatch release button that was not working on my Veloster. I had an appointment at 7:45AM, they made me wait 3 HOURS and then came up with an outrageous list of things to replace with MINIMUM EXPLANATIONS and FOR $700!!!!! I told them NO and asked questions about the replacement of the rear hatch release button which was my priority: the part was $51 but they wanted to charge me $315 AND I needed to wait ANOTHER HOUR!!!! I asked why it was so expensive and he told me this was a 2-hour work!!! Interesting, right? because he told me it would only take ONE HOUR 2 min before!!!! Then he got super defensive and kind of rude thinking that I know nothing about cars!!!! Too bad for him, some women are not ignorant about cars and I could figure out that he was just trying to rip me off !!! I was pissed off and decided to leave !!! It was all BS !!!! Changing this part on my car takes maximum 30 min for a non-mechanic person so either they are VERY INCOMPETENT or just STRAIGHT LIARS! When you see all the bad reviews they have on Yelp, it looks like it's a place TO AVOID!!!! NEVER GO THERE! UPDATE: 05/28/2019 It's even worse than what I thought!!! There was NO BROKEN PART!!! It was just an easy fix: just a glued piece that needed more glue!!! What this dealership did is UNACCEPTABLE ! They didn't even look at my car and just wanted to charge me as much as they can! They should know that some women know about cars, and won't get fooled by their BS!!! NEVER GO THERE! THEY ARE INCOMPETENT LIARS!

Oil change on Electic Car???

onMy car that was serviced was an ALL ELECTRIC vehicle. Not a hybrid as they had listed on the receipt. The receipt included a charge for an oil change. This car does not use oil. When I pointed this out to the service representative he actually argued with me that it was a hybrid and yes it does use oil and yes they DID do an oil change. This is the fourth Hyundai we have bought from this dealership and now I am questioning every service call we have ever had. Is there just poor communication between the service department and the cashier or are they actively trying to charge customers for services not performed? Before this I would have recommended but not so sure now. Extememly upsetting. And they acted like it was no big deal.

Routine Maintenance

onI took my car in for an oil change and to purchase a new remote. Two recalls were also attended to. I was told that I needed two other services since they had not been done at 60,000 miles. Everything went well except for the remote. They didn't have my remote in stock so they gave me a different one and I had to wait two weeks for the new one to come in. I will now go back and get the correct remote.

onIn addition to regular service (oil change, tire rotation, etc) we noticed that the gas cap would no longer click in place. Was told that it would not pass emissions if not replaced. Easy and quick fix.

A little disappointed.

onUsually very efficient but today they were a little disappointing. When I arrived my service rep could not be found for several minutes. Later after being there longer than normal I went to see if my car was on the ready deck. I saw a service person parking my car. I assumed my service rep would be in to get me. Ten minutes later I went to the cashier area and asked if my car is ready since it's been sitting out front for ten minutes. They ask who my service rep was and went to find him. The cashier came back and said it was ready and found paper work. I paid and they said the keys were in the car, they were not. I went back in where two other reps said they never put keys in car and they went to find them. Several minutes later one of the reps spoke to the service person who brought out car and retrieved my keys. I was easily there another 20 minutes longer after an unusually long wait. A little surprised my service rep never came out to check if everything was OK. I have used Jim Ellis for years and service today was off from their normally great service.
