Problematic Lease Structure-Couldn't Relocate Vehicle-No Dealer Response

I obtained my BMW 530e in November 2019. At the time, I requested a lease (I have leased countless vehicles over time, including 3 prior BMWs). I was provided a "lease agreement", which the dealership referred to as BMW Owner's Choice. I was told that this is how you lease a vehicle in Georgia. I didn't think twice. 2.5 years later I went to register the vehicle in another state. That state would not register the vehicle due to the conflict of (i) my name on the title and (ii) the lease structure of the financing agreement. Even if they could register the vehicle, it would have required a full tax payment on the leased vehicle despite only 6 months less on the lease (since my name was on the title). Apparently BMW created this structure to circumvent leasing laws in Georgia, yet neither BMW Financial Services nor Global Imports BMW provided any DISCLOSURES around the implications of this, including the challenges with registering the vehicle in another state. I received zero response from the dealership after 7 phone calls. Always promises of return calls, and nothing. They then responded to my BBB complaint with my personally identifiable information, which is absolutely terrible business practice. Stay far away!!

BMW X5 purchase experience

0 stars. Hey guys so this is my honest review about this bmw dealership. On the 3rd of may 2021 I made a purchase from global bmw of Atlanta , My sales rep was Greg petty. I made a purchase of a 2014 BMW X5 At The test drive I’ve noticed a very strange sound and mentioned it to the rep he told me a couple days after , that it was the tires , that their bmw shop would replace the tires , Well nothing of that happened neither I’ve got any paper work for the work, on my way back to Florida I’ve started noticing that the car was loosing power . I took it to my house mechanic cause at this moment I couldn’t trust bmw at any word . I get at my mechanic I found out , that the front 2 tires are about 80-90 % thread not brand new Now the best part the rear passenger side tire had cracks and was lower then safe depth ratios. Then I found out they never did a tune up on the vehicle I purchased but the sales rep promised me it was done . So right after I made the purchase I hade to replace 1 tire that costed about 650$ then tune up new spark plugs and coils another 900$ so in total I had to spend 1550$ after my purchase Very unsatisfied with their service as well their reps. I do not recommend to do business here because they do not appreciate it . And if this comment get deleted I will keep adding this review so consumers can know what they are about to put up with. Poor Sales and Service!

Even the “Genius” staff didn’t know how the access the Bluetooth Pin, so I left without it working! I had to find the instructions on YouTube myself to take back to the dealer the next chance I get, during the week when the Service Dept is open, so they can scan my car’s system and get the pin. Ridiculous! Also, I was supposed to be provided with the service records but was not and am still waiting for them to email them to me. I need to go back there as well to get the second car key that didn’t work and needed a battery they’re supposedly getting. All of this should have been done before the car was for sale, not discovered by the client!!! Poor job, Global!

Absolutely horrible

Buying a vehicle from this dealership has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Prior to driving over 250 miles to see the vehicle I was speaking with Justin Oliver (Salesman) and I informed him that there was an oil leak based on the photos sent to me, he said they would not have time to fix it before I arrived. So in writing Justin Oliver said they would send me a check based off their service departments quote to get it fixed at a place of my choosing. I drove to the dealership, agreed on a deal, confirmed several times that they would be sending me a check for the repairs within two weeks. Weeks go by and I never received the check, texted and called Justin Oliver several times, then called the Sales manager Ross Ingle. It has been 4 months and they are refusing to hold up to their end of the deal, I have yet to see the check that was promised to me before I even bought the vehicle. Be very careful going to this dealership, they will promise you the world but will not make good on those promises, even if you have it in writing.

Awesome Experience

Left another BMW dealer for Global and haven’t looked back since. The sales representative, Travis was very patient with me and very helpful in getting me the used car that I wanted. He also stayed well into the evening to go through the cars options and setting. I actually learned of things my older BMW had that the previous sale person neglected to point out.

Great experience

My son gave me the name of Kunal in sales as some of his co-workers had dealt with him. It was a great experience. I have to admit I had been to Global 7-8 years back and did not have a good sales experience but this was totally different. Kunal took his time and with his GSM gave me a great deal on just the car I wanted. I would highly recommend Global and Kunal.

The Only Place I'll Ever Buy a BMW!

I have purchased many vehicles in my lifetime, and no business or dealership is perfect, but what separates this dealership from any other one I've ever visited is their management team. No matter what kind of issue you're having, someone from management is ALWAYS available to talk. It doesn't matter if it's at night or on the weekend, they will promptly give you a call back and do everything in their power to make the situation right. It doesn't matter if the issue is small like a rebate you're inquiring about or whether it's big like the actual purchase of a vehicle, these guys are A+ and will take whatever time is needed to discuss things with you. I have purchased two M240i vehicles from this dealership in the past 8 months and would never do business at any other BMW dealership out there! Their service dept is second to none (very organized, clean, professional, and modern), the ladies who greet you when you walk in the front door are very friendly and professional, and the layout of the facility, the customer lounges, and the cafe and coffee machine are all huge pluses as well! So, if you're in the market for a new vehicle, don't waste your time anywhere else because this place is great whether you just have questions, are looking to purchase a vehicle, or need service for your vehicle. But, most importantly, if a mistake is made or a problem arises, you'll have the comfort of knowing that management (Jarred S. and Jim W. in particular) will step in immediately to help resolve any issues.

Please rethink if you are doing great!

Worst experience I ever had while purchasing a car. This is my 5th car purchase and the most horrible. I understand that due to various issues things changes but I guess considering such a huge brand they should have proactive measure laid out to take care of them. I don't know if it is BMW's, Showroom's or Agent's mistake but ultimately it is the customer who goes for the toss and have to bear all the pain. Just because you are having huge sales doesn't mean you can be so lame in you processes. Too much said here are the frustration I went through (yeah not just one) - Setting the right expectation. Bought a 2015 Fully Loaded X5 CPO on 7/21, was told that I will have the delivery by 24th. But then the series of frustration started due inability of people to estimate things. Everyday I was told tomorrow. This went on until 8/1. - While taking the day of delivery found the box in the boot was left unscrewed. What kind of check they do before giving delivery to the customer? May be it is customer who has to do all the checks for them. - I was promised excellent detailing will be done before delivery, I think it was just washed I could still find dust in the boot storage boxes. Not sure if that is what they mean by excellent detailing. - I did not get second key at the time of delivery. I was told it will be ordered new and mailed to me overnight. Well thankfully they ordered it on time, but second disaster My name and address was given wrong on the package. WOW! Till date haven't received (8/8). - This one I wont say is an issue but please do not think customer is fool. As the delivery was getting delayed I was being told, "we will make it up, will give gifts". Come on you give gift to everyone who buys a car. So, it was not something you were making up for late delivery. I don't want any gifts by please do not set or present expectations in wrong. Guys understand who have a good turn over but every customer is important so PLEASE! DO NOT TAKE THINGS FOR GRANTED.

Great deal - super service!

We found a 2017 X3 and a very good price and Travis Robinson did a great job of being my "eyes" on the ground since we live in St. Louis. He walked around the X3 and described, in detail, every piece that I asked him to check. He was VERY precise and helpful and "sold me" on it over the phone. We left early from STL and it took about 9 hours with our trade-in in hand and the entire process took about 4 hours to complete. I felt some pressure with the Finance part to add some services that I wasn't interested. This entire time should have been shorter but it is what it is. Travis was quite a host and a very good sport after all the ribbing we gave him. I will keep him in mind if any friends need a vehicle.

I purchased car from Hussain Akbarali and he was great help & took care of all the aspects very well. Hussain and Benjamin/Morris were great on helping me with the process and detailing to me everything. They showed me several cars with great patience & Knowledge and let me decide which one I want to purchase. He even followed up next day to check whether we liked the car or not. I have to say that this was the best car buying experience we've ever had. We couldn't have asked for more. Everyone at the dealership were very professional and kind and helpful. Awesome experience - Ask for Spencer Rogers

Let me start this review off by saying... I am very apprehensive about visiting dealerships. I always feel like I will be pushed into a deal. I normally car shop for months before making a final decision. I have literally been looking for over a year. I could not decide what I wanted. I thought about a BMW and remembered that I met Spencer Rogers a few years back and decided to give him a call. The first time I visited this dealership was back in April. I was very impressed with the setup, lay out, the cleanliness and professionalism of the staff. I didn't test drive because I didn't want to be tempted to commit. I took a look at what I liked and briefly chatted with Spencer and browsed the inventory in the showroom. I went home and put it on the back burner because I just wasn't pressed to purchase. In the meantime, I was texting Spencer to ask questions about the car that I was looking for. I literally asked him probably 100 questions. LOL! I am sure I worked his nerves but he never showed that I did. He was patient and understanding the entire time. Fast forward to this weekend, one of my friends peer pressured me to go ahead and stop playing around and test drive the car. Called Spencer. He was ready for me when I pulled up. He explained the differences between the cars that I wanted and the warranty and all the bells and whistles. I asked for honest opinions and he gave them. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about the BMW brand. This is a huge plus for me. You have to love your brand if you expect me to buy in. Spencer presented me with numbers and I wanted to think about it overnight. He didn't pressure me at all. He did let me know that the car may not be there tomorrow. I am in the car business so I knew this to be true. Emailed him first thing the next morning and he replied promptly. I was impressed. He kept me informed every step of the way... even if there was a delay. I am a stickler for time so I appreciated him doing this. He knew I was at work and anticipating his call. I felt like my time was respected. Spencer made this process painless and removed all my doubts about salespeople. Everyone in the dealership was nice. They spoke and smiled even when I didn't walk out with a car the first day. I drove THIRTY SEVEN miles to this dealership. There are at least 2 dealerships closer to my home. But I only wanted to work with Spencer. I also want to give recognition to Renee in Finance and Travis the BMW genius. If you are looking for a great dealership with a friendly atmosphere and wonderful salespeople.... VISIT GLOBAL IMPORTS BMW!!!!!

This is the 3rd BMW my wife and I have purchased from Global Imports. We will return for our next car. We will recommend Global Imports to anyone looking for a vehicle. This is why. There is no pressure to buy. The selection of cars and SAVs is amazing. The website is maintained with the up to date inventory. The customer Service is better than most other businesses of any kind, and all car dealerships. Here is how we bought our last car. Write down the criteria or features that are most important for the new vehicle to have. Write down the criteria or features that are deal breakers. Research www.atlantabmw.com. Research other regional car sellers on their websites. Find vehicles similar to your criteria. Know what are reasonable prices. Look at www.kbb.com. Now go to Global Imports. We ask for Rick. Share your criteria with your Client Advisor. Let him or her search the inventory for you. Then, look, touch, sit in, and drive the vehicles that most closely match your criteria. Pick the vehicle that satisfies your criteria and preferences. Ask yourself, will I be happy with this vehicle next week, month, and year. If the answer is yes, make a deal. Compare the price to what you saw on other websites. Is it the best deal? It always has been for us. Buy that car. It sounds easy. Global Imports will make it easy, if you let them. Our most recent purchase took less than 4 hours from the time we drove onto the dealership until we drove away with the car.
