POOR SERVICE, BROKEN PROMISES - GM REFUSES TO REPLY TO COMMUNICATION

My 2020 Range Rover Sport broke down on the side of the Florida turnpike (09/16/22), and I called for LR Roadside Assistance. The agent refused to assist me and told me I had to call the Road Ranger to tow off the turnpike. An hour later the Road Ranger came and told me that this is not true, and in fact he cannot legally tow me, that I need a tow truck. I then call a local tow company they recommended. This dealership was the closest, so I opted to have it towed there. HUGE MISTAKE! The Service Advisor (Jervis) promised that they would cover the tow bill, and confirmed such with his Service Manager (Mike Atkins). I was promised my vehicle in a week. 3 weeks later it was finally done. When I arrived to pick-up the car, I was not reimbursed for the tow bill and I was charged a mysterious shop charge for warranty work that was never disclosed. It was a Saturday and no one was available to discuss this with other than a Sales Manager (Matt Breen). The receptionist wouldn't release my car without payment, but Matt promised that he would have a check issued to me and gave me his word. (as a Land Rover customer for more than 10 years- my third one, this meant something, or should have). On Monday 10/10, I followed up with Jervis, and he reinforced Matt's promise that I would get a check for the $136 tow bill and the $49 shop charge. From there this has been my experience: 11/01/22 - Follow-up with Jervis - promising to follow-up on status of both and get back me. ANOTHER BROKEN PROMISE 11/21/22 - Follow-up with Jervis - promising to follow-up on status of both and get back me. ANOTHER BROKEN PROMISE 01/04/23 - Follow-up with Jervis - NO RESPONSE 01/06/23 - Jervis responds to request for management contact info. 01/06/23- E-mailed General Manager Matt Snyder and Service Manager Mike Atkins. - NO RESPONSE 01/17-23- E-mailed General Manager Matt Snyder and Service Manager Mike Atkins. - NO RESPONSE 01/17/23- Exchange texts with Jervis, and he asks me to e-mail him a copy of the tow receipt (that he kept when he agreed to reimburse me. 01/18/23 - Filed complaint with Better Business Bureau (still pending). Open case pending with Land Rover Customer Service, and based on the principle my next recourse is small claims court. I have text messages from the Service Advisor with all the promises. I even tried to dispute the $49 charge on my credit card, and the dealership replied to that with the credit card receipt. WOW! How reprehensible that such an established brand as Land Rover and dealership would have such poor customer service. There are so many other Land Rover (and other luxury dealerships) in South Florida. Please do yourself and AVOID this one- I'm sure like most the sales process is flawless, but should you ever be stranded on the side of the road with your new Land Rover or need warranty work, know that this is the service experience you'll likely get.

Rip Off

After having this dealership sell the car I had put a deposit on the previous year to another customer and charging me more for an available vehicle with less options (likely one promised to another customer), I brought the truck back to the same dealer to get the option I originally ordered, as I needed the tow package (I was assured at the time I could get it whenever I want). I truly thought they would make an effort to keep me as a customer and treat me better. They charged over $2100 for a $600 factory tow bar, saying there was nothing they could do...'300% mark-up that's the service department.' {shrug}. I dislike writing negative reviews, and I think everyone just has a bad experience from time to time, but I would recommend that people looking for either service or a new vehicle look elsewhere. This dealership really just does not care. I would get another Range Rover...they are great cars, but I would not give the Palm Beach dealership any more of my time or money. It's been a truly disheartening experience, both in purchase and service, and people deserve to be treated better, especially with higher-end purchases such as this.

Conor Alexander of Land Rover Palm Beach has gone above and beyond to provide me with exceptional customer service as well as reliable service to my Land Rover vehicles. Honesty and Integrity are not values typically associated with car dealerships, but Conor has been nothing but honest and straight forward with me. I appreciate the trust I can put in him to do only what is in my best interest. Conor does a great job at putting the customer first. Conor is a class act!

Drive from Boca

I drive from Boca because I bought my 2007 Sport HSE from this location and also because they provide service I cannot get down south. Believe me, I've tried. More personable and frankly better deals. My guy knows his stuff. Glad I found them. Bit easier for me as I have friends in the area and don't mind spending an afternoon ever 7,000 miles in Palm Beach!
