DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM HERE

I want to start off with the fact that I purchased my 2017 Nissan Maxima from Courtesy Nissan on December 30, 2017. Javier Ruiz was my salesman and was a pleasure to work with. I felt he did a good job selling me the car and he took his time to explain everything. I felt that I was in such good hands with Courtesy Nissan that when it was time for my wife to get a new car, I knew that Courtesy Nissan was the place to go. Since Javier Ruiz was not there, Oscar Sanchez was the salesman who assisted me. On September 9, 2018 my wife walked away with a 2018 Nissan Sentra. Karim Hamdar was the finance manager who assisted us with the financing of the car, and Jose M. Rodriguez was the sales manager that was able to explain everything to us. I must say, we received excellent service from the staff mentioned above. Fast forward to seven months later, there has been nothing but problems with the 2018 Nissan Sentra. I went in to Courtesy Nissan April 8, 2019 because the Sentra’s brakes sensor was automatically turning on without anyone being in front of the car. The car wouldn’t turn on when I would press on the brakes either. Jose Bonilla was the one to assist me; and he gave me a loaner vehicle that had a foul odor, and did not fit my needs. He called me on April 10, 2019 requesting me to bring the loaner back because my vehicle was finished. When I went to pick up the vehicle, on my way home I STILL had the same brake issues. Not only was my issue not addressed, but it is a safety hazard for my family and I to drive in this car. I turned around the same day to bring back the car – Jose Bonilla told me not to worry and that everything was going to be alright. I didn’t hear from anybody for 2 days regarding my car. On April 12, 2019 I went to the Courtsey Nissan to see what was going on, Jose Bonilla was not even there. The service manager Joe Russek, was completely unaware of my issue which shows there is no communication between the staff. I took the car home this same day. On the Monday morning of April 15, 2019 I received a phone call from my wife, the car would not start. At 5pm that same Monday I had a tow truck bring it to the Courtesy Nissan of Tampa. I didn’t even bother to get a loaner because I didn’t want another smelly car that didn’t suit my needs. My wife had to Uber to work and anywhere else she needed to go for 5 days! This was a complete inconvenience for my family and I. On April 18, 2019, I received a phone call from Brian Marcus. He gave me a case # 35282870 and wanted to follow up with me since it took 3 times to address the issue; and I have yet to receive a solution. Brian asked me if everything was ok, and I repeatedly told him that nobody has reached out to me regarding my issue. He told me he would call me back and he was going to get in contact with the dealer. Brian was able to get in contact with Jose Bonilla, and was told that Jose called me which was a lie. Later on that day Jose called me and told me my car was ready. On April 19, 2019, I went in to pick up the 2018 Nissan Sentra, and I seriously hope that the following issues do not occur again: 1. The car not starting 2. The car braking on its on 3. The car’s sensor turning on and causing the car to brake without any car being in front of the vehicle
 Being that I have now purchased 2 vehicles from Courtsey Nissan of Tampa, and have referred friends and family to the dealership, I feel it was a HUGE MISTAKE. I would hate to see this happen to anyone else. Do not waste your hard earned money on a car that a salesman just wants to make a quick sale off of, and does not care about the client’s needs after the car deal is made. This is a ridiculous way of running a dealership, and quite frankly I wouldn’t even come back for service even if it were FREE. The service department is a COMPLETE JOKE; no follow up, they tell you they “fixed” the problem but it’s never fixed, and when I would come back they look at you like you’re some kind of pest because I was at the dealer so many times since nothing was done! This dealership is completely unprofessional please do not waste your time purchasing a car from here because they will leave you stranded after they make their sales commission off you. God forbid you have an issue with the car, TOUGH because they SIMPLY DO NOT CARE.

Great Service

It was not my first service but my first female advisor who was able to accommodate me in a very professional manner after a misunderstanding. I was very satisfied with the wait time, services, and cost.

Service on my Nissan Titan

I recently took my Nissan Titan to the Service Dept. at Courtesy Nissan of Tampa for some required maintenance. As always, my experience was a very positive one. The work was done correctly the first time, and it was completed on time and for the price I was quoted up front. I was treated with courtesy and respect as I always am at Courtesy Nissan. For all these reasons, I have never had my truck serviced anywhere else. Jose Bonilla is an excellent Service Advisor and always ensures that I leave as a satisfied customer who will return again and again. When I am ready for a new truck, this will be the first (and hopefully the last) dealing that I will visit.

rude and high unprofessional

not professional and manager does not care! booked an appointment on line for an oil change and rotation and used a coupon that was offered in their website. when I arrived there they told me its first come first serve (which is not true) and they did not honor the coupon from their website. I was waiting 2 hours and half for oil change!! the person who took my information was super rude and not professional. did not even tell me what kind of oil they put or apologized for not taking my appointment. I requested to talk to a manager to talk to him about this issue and he did not call back!! don't recommend their service at all. staff is rude and unprofessional

Great service and above and beyond attention

My truck was taken in and was said to take 3 to 3 1/2 hours to repair. As I was waiting in store I was guided around to see the new features on the newer trucks and with no pressure treated as a potential new truck customer ,and was told to take my time in my decision rather than pushed to decide on the spot. Either way when I was finished looking the service manager assigned to my truck came in and said My truck was finished as he knew I was waiting and really didnt want to spend half my day there.I was out of the shop in 1 1/2 hours with all the service that was needed and scheduled...Best time I have experienced in any shop.

Nissan Service Center

To begin with, this review is ONLY pertaining to the service department, NOT the sales or customer service side. I made an appointment to have my vehicle serviced. I purchased it in Jan 2017 and it began to feel as if the tires needed to be balanced due to a wobble and a hop in the rear end. Nothing big.... I bring it in and immediately get told that there is nothing wrong with the truck. That it is just the rumble from aggressive tires. I tell the tech that i respect what he is saying but to please have someone drive it. They take my keys and the lock lug and bring it in. The gentleman that sold my vehicle stopped by to check in on how my vehicle is doing and to offer any further assistance, Hector is pretty awesome. About 45 mins goes by and the service department calls me back. They tell me again there's nothing wrong with my vehicle. I begin questioning their service supervisor and he finally admits that there's an issue, then tells me its a drive shaft. He also tells me that they are not going to touch it. I tell him again that it is a new vehicle and i have only had it long enough to just make my 1st payment. All he seemed to care about was whether or not I purchased an "extended warranty". At this point I was irritated. I asked for a manager and to review my contract since its still new. The manager was no where to be found. I went back and spoke with Hector in the sales department, he went and got his manager. Both Hector and his manager where awesome. They let me vent for a sec and discuss hypothetical outcomes. I was told to bring it to Ford to have take a look and to report back to them with whats found. So yet again, the sales team is amazing... BUT the service center is a scam. Do not think that they are there to help you. They will lie to your face and then try to back pedal when caught in a lie. Stay away from the service side. After I finished up with the sales team I got in the truck and went to Ford, when i arrived, they are not able to find the lock lug for my tires. I open the glove box and pull out the case for it... not in there. It was given to the tech when I handed him my keys at Nissan and lost. They do not know where it is..... I ended up buying a new set since the Nissan Service center is completely worthless. My truck got repaired and I will be picking it up today from Ford, just needed the tires balanced. Thank you to the Nissan Sales team (not the service center) and a big thank you to Elder Ford. I can only hope that Nissan hires capable mechanics and a management team that is at least half as effective as their staff in the sales department.

I went to have my check engine light tested and see what was wrong and the service advisor was really nice and helpful and knowledgeable his name was Kevin he told me an estimated time and even before that he was grabbing me from the waiting room telling me my cars done...it was a fast and friendly experience I will deffiently come back to have my 370z serviced every time it needs to be

Service Advisor

Zack Newman in Service has been the only person that has made sure both me and my car are taken car of in all of Nissan! Everyone else the salesman, managers, etc have made my fiance, and I and even my son feel pushed around. Zack is the only one I feel that is in our corner trying to make things right. Nothing has been right with the sale of our 2016 Nissan Rogue S yet, from the start. Jose Cruz was always in a hurry with us and just wanted a sale and now is just lying and we just keep getting pushed around , but Zack is trying to fix others messes. He's a great worker, the only one I want working on my car ever!!!

Failure to meet expectations

I had an 8:45 appointment to have some recall work performed on my car. I arrived just before 8:45. The gentleman looked up my reservation and confirmed my phone number. He asked if I would be staying or going. I let him know I had some errands to run. He said it should be about 2 hours for them to complete the work. I returned about 11:30. My car was still sitting in the service area. I walked into and they could not find any paperwork or anything for my car. Come to find out, they had not done anything. This was 3 hours after my scheduled appointment. He said they would get on it right away and that it should take about an hour. I waited for it to be done this time. About an hour later, they told me the work had been done, handed me my keys and said have a nice day. I walked out to my car and it had not been washed. This is a service that Courtesy provides every time your car is in their shop. I went back in and let him know it was not washed. He then took the keys and got it washed. I finally got my car back almost 5 hours after I dropped it off. This was a huge failure on their part. This was totally unacceptable.

Great service

I went and had my oil change and tires rotated on a Saturday in less than 45 minutes. The service advisor Kevin Ragano was excellent and very informative. He kept me in the loop and made sure all my concerns were handled professionally and in a timely manner. He really represented the company well and professionally.

Overcharges

Overcharges for work done at their shop. May have taken advantage of me because I'm a woman. Charged $551 for a wheel bearing replacement. Told me about a $160 fee to inspect vehicle after they had me sat down while they were inspecting. Rip off. I bought my vehicle there and was happy with that part but don't get any non-warranty work done there as they overcharge.
