The salesperson Mounir was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. He was very straightforward and gave great guidance on car selection. I went to a number of other dealers to see different car models and the overall experience at VW Bethesda was by far the best and most professional of all.

Checking the prices on the Edmunds, We went there and the final sale price they offered before the taxes and fees were $2,000 higher than the price offerd on the certificate. They say that they have to add the loyalty discount and the military discount back to the price. I have read the fine prints and there were no such discounts mentioned. I don't know if all the dealers do this. But we were very disappointed for their pracitse for wasting our time and theirs.

I had heard about how buying a car was a terrible ordeal and honestly, I had a rather pleasant time purchasing my car here, it was my first time buying a car. They didn't try to push me to buy an extras after I said no, and even though I was there for a long time everybody was extremely friendly and amicable. I will endeavor to try and purchase vehicles from this dealership in the future.

Last week we bought a VW sport wagon with the help of sales consultant Ariel Bernstein. Ariel was professional, not pushy, and came back to us quickly with a counter offer. It was the fastest, most pleasant car buying experience I've ever had.

The staff and management at Ourisman VW of Bethesda are truly, as good as it gets! I test drove 6 different VW's and during every encounter in person, by way of email, text and on the phone, I was thoroughly impressed with everyone's product, manufacturer, and industry knowledge, their professionalism, their personal care and attention, follow up and just all around NICENESS. I haven't been through the process of leasing a car for over 10 years and I was really nervous, but dealing with these fine folks took the apprehension right out of my mind. They made me feel comfortable and confident. Ourisman VW of Bethesda began to feel like FAMILY after awhile. It's been a true pleasure to work with them. They are outstanding and I would refer anyone to go to them first and I will for sure be a client for life! And I chose the 2017 Tiguan - black on black - and LOVE driving it!

They Lie and Steal!

They lie and steal! I was in search of a used vehicle for my son. We settled on a grey 2011 328i Xdrive with approximately 91K miles on it. They were asking $12,9K and after tough negotiations I was able to get them to verbally agree to $11,8. They spent hours preparing paperwork. From the onset the finance person was abusive and rude. Against my better judgement, I allowed the deal to progress. As he started to review the numbers with us I realized that he never lowered the base price to $11,8. When I brought the error to his attention, he became agitated and combative. He left the room abruptly to speak with a manager (we could hear them yelling at each other outside the door) and returned a minute later refusing to adjust the base price per our verbal agreement. Having felt duped, we told him he wasted our time, we collected our things and proceeded to walk out. As we left, we requested our paperwork back as I didnt want him or Ourisman to have our personally identifiable information. Strangely, he closed the file, walked outside and ran behind the building! Who does that?!? After a heated argument with his manager that went nowhere, we left. The whole incident was surreal. I would rather walk to the ends of earth than to buy a vehicle from Ourisman!

Great car buying experience

I had a great experience purchasing a car from Ourisman VW Bethesda. The sales rep, Bill Martien, was extremely patient and I did not feel corned or pressured into a sale. He really listened to what I wanted in a car and succeeded in finding a car that I liked. Everyone who works there is extremely nice. Allen Kim, who does finance gave me a very competitive rate and all with a smile. When I had concerns, all of my questions were answered with respect- I didn't feel like I was being lied to or manipulated. Matt Berman answered some of my rebate questions (and I had a lot of questions) and he put me at ease. In terms of price they were also willing to work with me on that, which I appreciate. All in all it was a great experience to purchase a car from here. It was the first car that I purchased and I am very lucky that I came here!

Can't Say Enough Positive Things about Ourisman

I recently purchased a 2016 Golf and had a great experience with William Merlo of Ourisman VW of Bethesda. This was my first time buying a car on my own and had a positive experience with the dealership. I visited Ourisman Bethesda after visiting two other local dealers. William Merlo was also one of the most knowledgeable sales experts I encountered. He was friendly, proactive, and professional, and seemed to take me seriously as a customer. He was also patient with me even though I didn't show up the day before and was late for our appointment. I'd done my research and knew exactly what I wanted to pay. Ourisman gave me a good deal without a bunch of haggling. I would strongly recommend working with them and can't say enough about their professionalism. I even asked to speak to the manager to let him know I had a good experience from the calls, emails, sales, and helping get to know my new car.

Great people, my wife got the car she wanted

My wife and I were looking for a replacement car. After few unpleasant experiences in different dealers we found a place where we were able to test the cars that we wanted with out feeling the pressure to buy where we feel very well treated. My wife ended buying the Tiguan. I want to highlight the patience and amiability of Will Martien and Ash Chowddury who took their time to drive us through the process looking for our best interest.

Last week I cold called the dealership to express interest in an XC60. Danny picked up, and we immediately hit it off. On Saturday morning, my wife and I arrived and within a few hours made a deal with Danny and management. I had done the necessary research, knew what we wanted to pay, and Danny made it happen. I recommend him and Ourisman to anyone looking to lease/purchase a new vehicle with an honest, reputable dealership. Hopefully it's just the beginning of a long relationship.

Very attentious

I think it's enough to say that I entered the store "just to look" and got out with a new car. I was helped by William Merlo, who was always very attentious and could even speak Portuguese, which helped a lot (my wife managed to explain more intricate ideas than she would be able to in English). The store is very well located and they made us a very special condition to purchase the car. So far, I'm very pleased overall.

I was shopping for a Volvo XC90 T6 Momentum AWD, black/amber with Convenience and Vision packages. I entered my contact info in Edmunds and within 30 minutes, I received a call from Bill at Ourisman Volvo of Bethesda. I told him the specific model I wanted and what he had to beat regarding MSRP and resulting monthly payment that I had received from another dealer. Over the next hour, he found a matching vehicle to my specs, and beat the competing MSRP by $1000 for a total of $3900 off. Monthly payment beat the other by at least $30/month and he included the 3-year complimentary maintenance. I also asked that he divulge all of the numbers by line item (MSRP, discount, taxes, money factor, etc.). Bill did so without question. Yes, I got the lowest price at Ourisman, but it was the courteous and professional treatment that I received that sealed the deal. That's not it... my wife and I liked the numbers and decided to purchase, but couldn't make it in until the next day (Sunday, 7/10). Unfortunately, Bill wasn't working that day, but he made sure his manager, Matt had the deal pre-approved and ready to go when we walked in. We worked with Damir for the paperwork and vehicle delivery and have been delighted ever since. Darmir even spent 20 minutes getting us familiar with the Volvo Sensus interface before driving home. The entire staff at Ourisman is professional, courteous and willing to earn your business. I absolutely recommend Ourisman Volvo of Bethesda!

Salesman great but issues with dealer

Our salesman was conscientious and helpful. However, dealing with the sales process at this dealer left much to be desired. Once we decided on the vehicle after less than one hour, we had to remain at the dealer for 5 additional hours while they tried to sell additional and often useless services. It appeared that they were trying to wear you down so they could sell more. The whole experience left me with a headache, dizzy, and extremely frustrated. We purchased a Honda from Ourisman many years ago. and had the same experience. More recently our son purchased a Mazda from Ourisman and had a very good experience. Based on our son's experience, we chose to go back to Ourisman. I would definitely reconsider based on this recent experience.

The car buying process was simple. The dealer gave me the internet quote. the salesman, Mr. Stefan StJohn, did an extraordinary job. He was courteous, patient, professional and knowledgable. Great sales experience with Stefan St.John

After a very frustrating experience at another large VW dealership in the area, as well as a couple other mediocre visits, I decided to give it one more try. It was a welcome relief to walk into Ourisman VW Bethesda and be treated with kindness and respect. Here, I was greeted by Stefan St. John, whose friendly, laid back attitude was a welcome relief after all the high pressure trickery attempted in NoVA. After chatting about various cars we liked, he got right to work in answering my specific questions and arranging a test drive. This dealership was reasonable and did not play the dishonest games that so many other dealers around here love to do. As a result, I returned and purchased the VW I wanted the next day. I would encourage anyone in the market to check this place out and would highly recommend Stefan for your VW or Volvo needs. Sadly, it has become a rarity to find a dealer around here where you encounter professional and honest staff. I sincerely hope that Ourisman Bethesda does not change their current atmosphere. Driver found! :0)

I visited unsure if I was going to purchase a VW Golf at Ourisman or at another dealership. I originally contacted Ourisman online and subsequently received a phone call from Francisco Reyes. Unlike the salesman I spoke to at another VW dealer (who basically just asked me what time I wanted to come in and what color Golf I wanted), I found Francisco to be eager and asked a series of questions to better gauge what I was looking for. We made an appointment for that upcoming Saturday and we spent quite a bit of time conducting the test drive and discussing exactly what I was looking for in my next car. Normally I would've visited a second dealer, but I appreciated the time he took to answer all my questions, his friendly demeanor and candor. When it came to negotiating a price, I felt comfortable enough to go ahead and purchase my Golf from Ourisman. Francisco and the sales manager made the process easier than I had expected, but I also drove a hard bargain because I had done my research before visiting. At the end of the day, I walked out of the showroom with a new car and feeling I had an honest and fair deal. Everything since the sale has been great. When the car was delivered, Francisco spent time showing me the infotainment system and other features. Also, I subsequently I discovered a small blemish on the paint (which probably happened in the factory), and this was taken care of quickly by the body shop team, where everyone was friendly and efficient. Even though my car didn't have much dirt on it, Francisco had my Golf cleaned and delivered to the showroom location to make it easier for me to pick up. If you're looking to purchase a VW or Volvo, I highly recommend giving Francisco at Ourisman a call!

We purchased two cars from Ourisman VW on New Year's Eve. Despite the late and inconvenient hour, the staff was great, patient, easy to deal with, and the overall experience was very pleasant. Their followup since has been excellent. This dealership is very customer service oriented and low pressure. Francisco was our salesperson -- young, eager, and a really nice guy. Ask for him when you go. Ash in finance was great, and Nan, the manager, has been extremely helpful throughout.
