Great service and friendly atmosphere. Karen was very informative. I feel that I'm being well taken care of in respect to having my Forester serviced by professionals that know their product.

Great service!!!

by hunting64598 on 09/10/2011

Just used Quality Subaru's service department for the first time. My 2006 Forester needed a 60,000 mile service. The entire staff went out of their way to make sure it was done promptly. Paul gave me an estimate on the job, before the job was started. The total was actually less!!!! Great job guys. You have a new customer!!

charged for brake repair and never fixed them leaking brake fluid

by 107townhouse on 06/05/2008

History: July 30, 2004 Mileage 24,528 Brakes were grinding-had front rotors resurfaced, front brake pads 90% worn on inside replaced brakes. Cost: under warrantee August 13, 2004 Mileage 24,903 Miles since brakes last worked on: 375 miles Shimmy in front end or grind when applying brakes at high speed. Front brake rotors wrapped machined front brake rotors. Cost: under warrantee March 13, 2007 Mileage 44,935 Miles since brakes last worked on: 20,032 miles Brakes grinding, replaced front brake pads and resurfaced front rotors and resurfaced rear brake drums. Cost: $382.95 May 30, 2007 Mileage 47,219 Miles since brakes last worked on: 2,284 miles Grinding AGAIN, resurfaced front rotors and repaired shim Cost: $0.00 The brakes actually started grinding again about 4 days after March 13, 2007 visit but I didn’t get to bring it in until May 30th. I was told that it was because I was too hard on my brakes and if I brought it in again Subaru would charge me. Interesting, since I drove over 25,000 miles the first time before I needed brakes. The second time I only drove about 300 miles. The 3rd time I drove a little over 20,000 miles before I had to bring it in again. Then the 4th time the mileage was a little over 2,000 as I said the grinding stared right after the March 13th appointment. After the July 30, 2004 and the March 13, 2007 appointments I had to bring the car back both times, as it was NOT fixed correctly. Since I was told Subaru on the May 30, 2007 appointment would charge me if I brought it in again for brakes I brought it elsewhere. Trusting the service department at Quality Subaru would have been a grave error on my part since my life and lives of my family depend on the brakes of the car. I brought the car to Monro Muffler/Brake: They told me the brakes Subaru put on the car was cheap brakes and the grinding was the metal breaking off, also the brake fluid was leaking and eventually it would have all come out and car would not stop at all. July 18, 2007 Mileage 48,534 Monro Muffler/Brake Price: $711.45 Replaced Front brake Pads Front Premium non asbestos Pads Resurfaced rotor front Brake shoes on rear, Wheel Cylinder, Brake Fluid When I brought my car in on March 13, 2007, it was for the 45K service. I know they didn’t service the car properly as they would have noticed the brake fluid leaking as that should have been part of inspection. I have now paid between Subaru and Monro Muffler/Brake a total of $1,094.40. I would like a refund of the $383.95 from Subaru since I had to bring it elsewhere to get it fixed right. Also I would like a portion of the 45K mile service inspection charge returned as I believe it was not done thoroughly since you did not see the brake fluid leaking. I expect an answer by August 15, 2007. If I don’t hear from you I will take this to Consumer Affairs. Thank you for your kind attention in this matter. Please respond in written form so I may keep it with my records. Respectfully, Jeanne Martin [violative content deleted]
