XLNT service!

My husband got his 135,000 mile service yesterday and when we went to pick up his car (3 hours earlier than they'd promised!), I asked if I could leave my Rav4 for it's 50,000 mile service. Mike Berkholder is the best! He said "yes" and it was ready in 2 hours! He even had both cars washed and sparkling at pickup. So glad we found Bob Smith Toyota!

Oil changed & car washed

I dropped off my car, was driven back to my home, the car was done two hours ahead of the projected time, the shuttle came back and picked me up, and my car was ready to drive home with a fresh wash and oil change.

Excellent Service

Sales manager Justin Barnett was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable. He explained our maintenance service and warranty coverage very well with patience. Also, waived the charge on the air filter communicating with the service department.

Very helpful service

Mike B. and his team do a great job. He thoroughly examined the car because I had a concern about my brake light and he tightened everything up, topped off the brake fluid, and didn't charge me anything (I had had the brakes serviced several months ago). He even had my car washed for me. Really excellent, caring and honest service.

service on 2007 Prius - replace rear struts

I've been a regular customer of Bob Smith Toyota Service Dept. for ten years. I've taken my car in for routine service every 5,000 miles, as suggested in the owner's manual. It was recommended by a technician that I replace my two rear shock struts, which I decided to do last week. Though I bear the responsibility for agreeing to this service, in retrospect I shouldn't have done so. The bill included an extraordinary charge for labor, apparently predesignated by Toyota. The service agent explained to me that this was an exceptionally difficult job, requiring half of the trunk area to be removed. He led me to believe that it would require a number of hours to complete. I left the car with the mechanic at 1:15 PM and was telephoned at 3:30, telling me it was complete. The work included a 5,000 mile service, the replacement of two air filters, and the installation of a rear wiper blade. It was obvious to me that the replacement of the struts had taken less than two hours to complete. The labor charge for this was $520.00. The total labor charges for two and a quarter hours of work came to $620.00. I simply can't rationalize such an inflated charge. I feel the dealer should have discounted these labor costs based on the amount of time spent. This wasn't offered. I intend to follow up with the service manager of the agency, to express my discontent.

You wont find a better service department at a dealership!

In every way, to every detail, this service department is incredible. The way they treat you on the phone, and handle your phone call, the way they greet you when you arrive, their ability to maintain a very efficient operation without compromising quality and customer service. Everyone here has real manners!! Most importantly, they are skilled, professional, and extremely competent, and have some of the very best mechanics of any Toyota dealership in the vicinity. I know, because I've tried many of them personally. If you are going to a dealership for service you'll be hard pressed to find a better service department than this place.

The Best

Everything about Bob Smith Toyota Service Department is top notch. The facility is modern, clean, and well maintained. Service Advisors are knowledgeable and accommodating. Routine maintenance is done quickly, so owners can wait for their cars. Extensive repairs are carefully explained, and often descriptions of these procedures can be emailed to owners. Bob Smith Toyota provides transportation to home, work, or other reasonably nearby destinations, and drivers are dispatched to pick up customers when repairs are finished. This dealership's service department is exceptional because its employees treat women with respect and dignity and never talk down to them or recommend unnecessary work. I have had the same service advisor for 10 years, and I know I can count on his honesty and integrity. I trust him implicitly.

Fast, efficient and friendly

The 45k mile service visit also required replacing the tires, cleaning the throttle body and, as it turned out, replacing the battery and wiper blades. Pricing on tires (effectively a 25% discount off regular street price), battery and wiper blades was excellent, and the labor rates are standard. It was all done in far less time than I expected, and everyone involved was helpful and friendly, even to the point of the porter offering to move my car so I could drive straight out rather than having to make a 3-point turn. Little touches like that make a difference.

Straight Talk and Good Repairs

I highly recommend Bob Smith's service department. Car repairs are a pain no matter what you drive, or who does the work. Nobody likes to spend money to keep their car going, but it's a fact of life. So it's good to deal with people who are straightforward and clear in their communication about what service or repair will cost, and what's involved. With three Priuses (dependable though they are), my family has had its share of service department visits over the last 12 years. Most of the time, we're getting routine service or tires replaced, and it's done quickly and effectively. Once in a while, though, repairs have been necessary, and I commend the Bob Smith team for communicating quickly and accurately what is involved, and what the cost will be. They have also let us know when something can be delayed (without causing a problem, obviously), and buffer the cost of a repair. Their service staff has had very little turnover, and reinforces the consistency of care and overall high level of customer service they aim for. No, they are not perfect. However, in my experience the staff has been quick to acknowledge any misunderstandings, and do whatever is needed to resolve the issue and satisfy me. I recommend Bob Smith's service department highly.

Integrity, sincerity, and great customer service

My family has been using Bob Smith's service shop for over ten years, and we own three Priuses - all bought there - that we service there regularly. The Service staff has been unfailingly polite, attentive, and thorough in their attention to detail, even on minor service appointments. They are genuinely friendly, and while friendliness is important, without professionalism and excellence in the performance of the work itself, friendliness doesn't matter. Bob Smith comes through on all points. Notifying us of discounts we didn't know we had; catching problems pre-emptively (and often, fixing some things gratis); and never over-promising or fudging cost or time estimates, the Service staff is extraordinary in their total focus on customer service. We would - and we have - recommended this dealership to many of our friends, as a shop that earns the customer's trust through consistent, conscientious work.

Outstanding customer service.

I had my car service done here a couple of times, my car were service at other dealers before, and they always took hours just for an oil change and inspection, my experience here it's been completely different, and yesterday and my advisor Javier even skip his lunch break just to make sure my car was ready on time, I will definitely will be back.

Satisfied customer

I have my Camry serviced at Bob Smith all these years since I live in the area. So far I am happy with their service, from routine oil change to once-in-a-blue-moon major repair. Frank the service manager is very friendly and helpful. They even give a car wash for free. And the shuttle service is very convenient so I still can have my chores done while they take care of my car.

Beware of bad service

I took by 2005 Tundra for transmission service and they failed to fix it for the estimated $300. Then they said it will be an additional $400 to fix it, and again they failed to fix it. Then they wanted to charge me over $4400 to fix it. I gave up and now I'm trying to get back my $700 from them and filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repairs, who are trying to help me get my money back. Its been over 4 months. The people are nice about taking your money, but when you complain, they completely ignore you.

Great Service Department That Is Quick

I took my 2008 4Runner here every 5k miles and even after the first 1k (complimentary). Scheduling was not a problem and they started working on my car as soon as I showed up for my scheduled appointments. Service is thorough and they usually do a light wash. They have a waiting area with plenty of seats, a television, and a vending machine. Pricing is very competitive since there are a few independents within the same area. I would easily take my car here for service.
