Do not buy from this dealership!

by SamFred on 02/06/2017

Was told we would recieved 8500 for trade in and it was never applied to our purchase. We found out late, after signing paperwork because we had been in the dealership for 6 hours with 9ur 2 year old daughter who was hungry and tired. Tried to trade thier vehicle in 2 years later but the refuse to take the check from Nissan dealer. Now our Ford account is going through collections because Porcaro wants to play games and refuse to let us buy out the vehicle.

Unprofessional, deceitful

by Fordguy111 on 09/03/2016

After a few days after test drive, We agreed to a price and it was sent in writing over email. I went and and confirmed that price with the salesperson. They then put me into financing and the numbers were off and had grown by $2,000. After 2 hours of discussion and phone calls, the owner stepped in and reviewed the deal and said it's not going to work and it was going to take another $1,000 to make it happen. I can't believe a certified Ford dealer would've been capable of this and have called and filed a complaint with them. They were very helpful. Porcaro is very unprofessional and has very poor business sense. Stay away

Don't Bother

by Annoyed on 02/02/2014

I went to this dealer hoping to get a new Ford Escape. After talking with the sales person she found me one in IL. She said they would give me top dollar for my trade in but when I went to sign the papers it was less than they said. I was told this was the way they had to do it retail to retail. I didn't know any different so didn't question anymore. The day I was suppose to get my car they told me it was sold. They had two other ones but I would have to pay more. I said I didn't want to pay more but I agreed to hear what the "more" would be. They called me back with two ridiculous offers. I said forget it I wanted my money back since they could not deliver on my original car. I went in that night and they made we wait for over an hour telling me they'd find me just the right car. I continued to say I wasn't going to trade in my car but they just let me sit. Was that suppose to make me want to buy a car? I asked about refunding my money and was told the cashier didn't know how to do it and I would have to come back the next day. I asked for the finance person and she walked right over to the cashier and amazingly enough the cashier learned how to refund my money in two minutes. The manager (I can only assume) since he never introduced himself asked me if I was upset and what could he do to help me. By that time I was thoroughly disgusted and angry and just wanted to leave. If they truly wanted me to have a pleasant experience and help me they did everything the opposite of that. They lied, made me wait for longer than I should have and tried to repeatedly sell me a car after I said no several times. If you're looking for a car don't go to Porcaro Ford. I went to Milwaukee and got just what I wanted and guess what it was cheaper than what Porcaro was going to charge me. I got all the options and the color I wanted too. Imagine that! They are not even worth 1 star.

Buy from a different dealer, Not from Porcaro

by merlin16 on 07/24/2011

Shop at a different dealer, Not at Porcaro I was working with a salesman at Porcaro Ford and fully intended to buy my F150 from there, After a few days I had made my decision, so I returned to get a trade in price for my truck. Another salesman came out to help me with the Porcaro name. After informing him that I was already working with someone, he told me that the salesman I was working with was busy, but he would help me. I told him I wanted a trade in appraisal. He asked if I knew what I wanted and to buy and I told him the specifics depended on how much I got for trade in value. He said that it took a half hour of his and our time, so they won’t look up trade in until the paperwork is started on the new purchase. I said I didn’t want to buy until I knew how much I would get. We went over to my truck and I told him the things that were wrong with it. He asked me how much I wanted for it. I said I didn’t know the value and wasn’t an expert, so I would like the appraiser to give me a number. He became irritated with me and asked if I’d looked up Blue Book value. I said I did awhile ago. In a rude tone, he said that I know what it is worth then. I said I had to click options on the website for Blue Book, so I really didn’t know what the value was. He said you don’t know? I again said I wasn’t an expert. He kept pushing me for an answer so finally, I said “fine, it’s a great truck and I love it a lot. I think it is worth $20,000 to me”. He did not like this. I asked to see the original sales guy. He agreed and we went inside. After waiting a few moments, the original guy stopped over by us. He told us it would be a little while, but he’d be with us in awhile and the guy (who was on the lot) could assist in the meantime. The guy from the lot continued pushing us about the trade in and asking if I’d take Blue Book value on it? Since I wasn’t sure of that number (and there are different Blue Book prices) I asked how much the Blue Book price would be? He wouldn’t tell me the price he was referring to, but wanted me to agree. He kept asking multiple times, “Will you take KBB price?” He finally was so annoyed that we (my wife and I) would not answer yes, so he said we were going to have to possibly wait hours for an appraiser to look at the vehicle to give us a price. We started to walk toward the door to leave, and he told us we didn’t have to go, but he ushered us out. It appears to me (this time and from other relatives accounts) that Porcaro Ford has the market in the Racine area. There aren’t other immediate dealer choices. This guy knew that I wasn’t going to be a sucker and he didn’t want to deal with me if I wasn’t going to let the deal slide through without any questions. Many people in Racine do not have the financial options and mobility that I have, and would be more likely to cave under this guy. I went to a different Ford dealer that same night, was helped by a wonderful salesman that gave me trade in value right when I walked in the door. I got two thousand more for my trade-in than what I had expected, which is why I didn’t want to throw out a number in the first place. I intended to buy a F150 4x4, but ended up with a fully loaded 150 FX4 that night from the other dealer and am happy I didn’t give my money to Porcaro Ford.
