Last resort dealer

by 1970huey on 02/15/2018

I spent a full day getting pre approved, emptying my trade in, contacting insurance and showed up at my appointment with checkbook in hand to find the dealer had not moved my new car from the snowline and had slipped in a "new" salesman for me to work with. Had been working online and had it been explained that at some point I would be transferred to a salesman and had my new car been sitting their running, or even sitting there and had past a test drive I would have bought it. Shoddy if not sketchy treatment. I had done all the effort. Pissed doesn't say it. Place is five miles from the house, easy for service and I was so ready to be done with the car shopping. Might of been my best deal but I just could not, and cannot get over the bad taste left by lack of respect they showed me.

Corolla Sport

by carolradliff on 07/12/2016

My experience with Bernard purchasing my 2016 Corolla Sport was awesome. Bernard is one of the greatest salespeople I have ever met. He truly cared about what kind of vehicle would serve best for me. He is easygoing, kind and a genuine person.

After purchase

by OWH on 12/15/2013

I purchased a van on 11/11/13. Alan, the sales person, said he would order touch up paint and a missing wrench as part of the deal. Three weeks later I contacted Steve J., sales manager, that I did not receive the paint or wrench. He said he would talk to Alan. I got a chip on the van and bought paint at a different dealership. I asked Steve to reimburse the money spent, and he would only give me a credit for use at their dealership. I told Steve that I will have my car serviced at a different dealership so his credit is worthless to me. I learned that Don Jacobs Dealership has no interest in working with their customers after they have bought a car there.

Good service from start to finish

by mentos08 on 12/20/2012

My guy Alan was a great relief to the car buying process and made the leasing of a new Toyota Sienna a simple process. They also went the extra mile to take a trade-in which was a main competitor's and I know they were hesitant to do that. I thank them for making it easy on our family!

Great Experience!

I worked with a salesman by the name of Basil. I received the best deal on a new Toyota when compared to other dealerships. I did not have to go and negotiate my way to a fair price. It was given right away. I highly recommend Basil and Don Jacobs Toyota.

Get EVERYTHING in writing!!!

by arcana on 03/18/2011

Back in January I found a car at Don Jacobs Toyota in Milwaukee, WI. I have several emails where Ron Huber described the car. Six weeks later, my car was in the shop and I found that the brakes were not new as Ron had said. Ron rarely responded to email, only if I attached someone else's name to the email. After 2 weeks of asking him to verify the condition of the car and proof of new brakes he said that he'd cover the brakes at $30...my friend who's a mechanic said you can't even get brakes at cost for $30! The ones put on were $48 and those were only cheap Napa parts. It's been another 2 weeks, I only live an hour or so away and I still haven't received the check or replies to the emails I've sent asking if and when the check was sent. TERRIBLE customer service. Actually it was great at first. He continued to email details for a whole day and it sounded like a good enough deal to go check out and get. After the sale though, so difficult to get him to respond. He said he didn't typically do business over email. Now I know why. I have his "promises" in writing.

Worst Experience Ever!

by gb27 on 03/29/2009

Arrived at dealership prepared to buy a new Avalon. Salesman refused to discuss pricing unless we gave him $500.00 up front. No way. We kept an eye on him when he went outside to look at our trade-in. He never went near it and had a cigarette break instead. When he finally returned we got up to leave making it very plain that it was the most unbusinesslike dealership we had ever encountered. A manager who had been watching from their balcony rushed down and pretended that the salesman was acting in an "unauthorized manner" and offered us a deal $1200 better than we could have expected just to get us out of there since everyone in the building could hear our conversation. We took the deal.
