beware of costly add-on fees like CermaPlate!

I recently purchased a new car from Kunes GMC in Elkhorn less than 2 weeks ago. I’ll admit that I failed to take the time to read the fine print as the finance manager glossed over the details of the documents and rushed through the entire process. They require you to e-sign documents on a tablet which makes them all the more difficult to read over, esp. details like the numbers. I thought my car payment seemed a bit higher than it should be so I looked at the motor vehicle purchase contract where I noticed that Kunes had added on $3,999 for the CermaPlate coverage. It's basically a ceramic coating that is sprayed on your vehicle to protect it against the elements. I must have misread it as $399 which is right around the same price that others I've talked to have paid to have it applied to their vehicles. I called the dealership and talked to one of the finance managers and he confirmed that the $3,999 charge for the CermaPlate was correct and not a mistake.There was zero mention of this being an additional cost, let alone the fact that it added almost $4000 to the vehicle price for “a spray on and rinse off product that is quick and easy to implement” according to the Kunes website. Again, it is my fault for not reading the fine print to discover these additional fees before signing the paperwork but I fully trusted that the salesperson and finance manager at Kunes were getting me the best deal possible. If you are thinking about purchasing a vehicle from this location or any other dealership, be sure to take the time to read through all documents thoroughly esp. the price section on the motor vehicle purchase contract where these additional fees are included. Otherwise, you may end up paying a lot more for your vehicle as a result of their deceptive sales techniques.

Our sales lady kari kicked us out of our chairs to start with another customer. She gave us a gift bag and started taking items out for herself. The truck we wanted had ben hit in the parking lot, she told us it would buff out and would have the detailer do it. Never got done, had to bring it back for service and bill the manager had to have the bumper repainted. We got a service loaner with a broken windshield. The next day found out it had a missing wiper blade, and no lisence plates. Dot violations and illegal to drive

The Sheboygan North location is my location of choice and will continue to be. Everyone that I’ve come in contact with in the first 5 or 6 visits has been superior.

Sunset Tail camper

We asked for our old camper back 3 times because this is a hunk of junk. The camper is falling apart as we travel. Screws falling out, trim falling off, drains coming apart, co2 detector going off. after every trip we have to bring the camper in to get something fixed, and things that where to be fixed previously.

Was told I needed 4 new brake pads about 8,000 miles ago. I decided to do the brake job myself as the quoted price was $450. To my surprise, when I removed each wheel, there was at least 50% of my brake pads remaining. Obviously someone was trying to make some money off me. I will never be back there and will tell everyone I know.

was looking for a good deal on a reliable used car and they had the perfect car ....I love my 2007 Pontiac G6 that I got from these guys....it was GM certified so I got a rate of 1.9% for 60 months....and a full year of GM warranty...NOBODY could come close to that the car has a sunroof all power options and I just love it ....got it for 12 grand and I LOVE my payment....everyone there treated me with the utmost courtesy ...it really felt like I was a member of their family........started the process online and they could NOT have made it easier....give these guys a try
