Buyers Beware of Multiple Unauthorized Credit Inquires

I applied online to get preapproved for financing. To my dismay, I received a text notification that several bankers had pulled my credit report without my full and complete knowledge of any buying terms, or whether I had been tentatively approved. It is only then I contacted both the sales person and manager in this regards, obviously they try to place blame on me, a customer for applying online. Any reasonable person should have contacted me and fully informed me of the pending financing application and allowed me to make a decision as to whether I want another bank or creditor to pull my credit report. This is clear violation of consumer disclosure policies. And they acted as if the issue is that it doesn’t affect my score by much. Totally missed the mark. Ken Vance never gave me fully informed facts of the deal prior to running a credit inquiry with multiple banks. So Buyers beware of applying for financing online as they don’t explain the buying details before hand. I will not recommend working with this dealer especially when they try and make it seemed my fault. What a way to earn my businesses!

Wonderful

I bought a Certified used Honda Pilot through Ken Vance Honda and could not have been happier with the purchasing experience or the car itself. Our salesman Tom went above and beyond to get to know us not just as customers, and was clearly very knowledgeable about the vehicle. We would recommend him highly. We feel we received a very fair price on our trade-in and are very happy with the financing we received. Ross was also extremely helpful and knowledgeable going through our paperwork with us. Finally, we met Ken Vance himself as we were going through our transaction, and were impressed that he took the time to sit down and speak with the customers. The car itself is pristine, runs like a charm (thus far), and well surpassed any other vehicle we viewed. I would absolutely 100% recommend using this dealership for your next vehicle. I have never had this good of an experience buying a car.

I would never recommend this dealership to anyone their service is horrible we bought a vehicle from them and has been nothing but problems first they sold us the vehicle we could clearly tell there was something wrong with the traction control they said oh no it's totally normal, then gets worse almost caused a serious accident with our two children in the car both under the age of three. After a month of going back and forth with them trying to get ahold of the so called saled manager mr. giani is a [violative content deleted] in its self now we have a u joint, tie rod, air condensor , intermediate steering shaft .... when they did there so called 15 point inspection and checked off that the air condensor was in good working order you think they would have found out that it did not work at all and had a huge hole in it right? not the case now we are stuck with a lemon. I do not understand how these people stay in business Richard sold us this vehicle he could care less what was wrong after we signed the paper work he would not return any phone calls or anything we ended up calling mike giani at first he was helpful then his true colors showed as well, went back and forth for about a month and then finally had to call his boss jason before we heard anything from him what a joke! you know i would not mind paying a little more for a vehicle somewhere if i knew i would be taken care of unlike this..... we drove all the way from Iowa to buy a lemon and be treated like crap

Ken Vance cares

We recently purchased a Honda Fit from Ken Vance Car City. The local Honda dealerships in the Twin Cities were rather indifferent to our desire for a Fit which was in short supply. We called Richard at Ken Vance and were able to take care of all the details over the phone. They had no Fits in stock but several on the way in a matter of days. Richard called us early in the morning of the second day that our car had arrivered. We drove the 90 miles to pick it up and it was ready upon our arrival. The staff at Ken Vance treated us very well and had us on our way in one hour. The local Twin Cities dealerships did not seem to know when cars were arriving, how long it would take to get one of them or what color it might be. We are very happy with our new car and the people at Ken Vance.
