Escalade Purchase

by CheatedbyCrest on 03/13/2018

I purchased a 2015 Escalade in late 2016 thinking that I was getting a 1 year old quality vehicle (it was certified pre-owned). I almost immediately began having problems with the vehicle, only to be told several months later that the engine had been replaced prior to my purchase. This was never disclosed and initially thought the vehicle had been involved in an accident, later realizing (explained by another dealer) that the misaligned body parts were probably a result of their removal when the engine was replaced. After repeat visits for repairs (70+ days at the dealer in 16 months) I complained to a corporate adviser who today informed me that the dealer would no longer service my vehicle. I've done nothing to deserve this other than try to get my car repaired. They did offer to buy the car back several months after my purchase for $12,000 less than I paid. I was so offended that I didn't accept the offer. Now I wish I had taken the loss then. Please be careful before you purchase a used vehicle from this dealer as I wouldn't wish this nightmare on anyone.

Warranty Scam

by cuttz1epie on 03/12/2016

***UPDATE***- After posting on social media outlets- Crest contacted us and offered a fair refund for the warranty. They redeemed themselves. SCAMMED. BUYER BEWARE. We purchased a warranty from Crest a couple of years ago. We were promised that our car would be covered for an ADDITIONAL 60,000 miles or 48 months, whichever came first. When we went to use our warranty, we were told it had expired when our car reached 60,000 miles. So we paid $1,900 for warranty that lasted us approximately 10,000 miles. We are smart shoppers and asked all the right questions. We were promised our car would be covered for an additional 60,000 miles (not up to 60,000 miles). We contacted Crest sales department and their General Manager. After being strung along for SEVERAL MONTHS, their "resolution" was to SELL US ANOTHER WARRANTY. They acknowledged the error and blamed it on the warranty company, but offered no real resolution. We are extremely dissatisfied with this gross misrepresentation and extremely poor customer service. We gave them several opportunities and months to make this right and they failed to do so.
