Bad Service, Bad Follow Through, Price Gouging

by Josh on 02/04/2019

This dealership is classic. It is the reason people have a bad taste about car sales. I called, was told I would get a call back. Didn't happen. Called a second time, told I would get a call back. Didn't. Called a third time to speak with a manager to see if they would work with me on the price since the car is so over priced for the market locally and nationally. I did my homework and TRIED to see if the manager would meet in the middle and he hung up before I could even finish asking the question. And the best part, I was willing to fly in from out of state to get the car. If you buy from this dealership, expect the worst, maybe you won't be disappointed. Worst experience I've had dealing with a sales person in a long time.

buyer beware

by andy208 on 11/15/2014

Larson Hyundai of Tacoma… buyer beware In Feb 2014 we went to Larson and bought a “new” 2013 Hyundai Accent off their showroom floor. The vehicle had aftermarket rims and tires to the tune of $1800. We drove (moved) to Texas, and at under 9k miles on the car, a rear tire separated. We pulled into a tire shop in Austin and was told that the “low profile” tire couldn’t be ordered, or even found… we contacted the local Hyundai Dealer and found the same problem. We were also told that it was an $89 tire… a Z rated 89 dollar tire? Really? We pulled our warranty info and found out that the warrantied tires that are supposed to be on the car, aren’t! Go figure… at that time we are also told that the rims are too big for the car, and that any other size tire will rub on the fender wells… and they do. We had no choice but to replace both rear tires… and now need to replace the front tires, rims, and also another set of rear tires before we have a “real” problem. I got a hold of the store manager “Dick”, yep… no joke… and was conveniently disconnected. I was finally able to contact the service department, told the story, and was actually expecting to be contacted about the issues… a week has passed with no contact. I have filed a complaint with the BBB, and so far that’s where I stand. BTW, my Gf and I have purchased at least 5 cars from Larson, and did not expect this kind of treatment… there are other car dealers out there… use one. Andy

Great Experience

by casey53 on 12/01/2013

I Saw a used accent online and contacted the dealer through their website. Andrew contacted me and told me about the Black Friday sale they were having. I came in went for a test drive and the rest is history. And was polite and extremley helpful through the whole process. My finance manager Kurt was great!

EXCELLENT Sales Experience

by smearp on 05/28/2009

I have purchased four or five cars from various dealers over the last decade, and had an absolutely awful experience with every last one of them. I was taken advantage of in every possible way by those dealers, and will never return to any of them again. Going into Larson Hyundai, I expected a similar experience, but just had the most pleasant car buying experience I have had. I did my research online in advance, and negotiated a price before going in, which they honored. There was a pricing mistake that I didn't notice until after I had initialed the quote and signed all of the actual invoice forms. They called in the sales manager who (instead of arguing with me), very pleasantly authorized fixing the mistake in my favor, even though I had already signed many forms with the wrong price. This is the first dealership I have ever been in where the customer was right. At the last minute the car I was looking for was not available (long story, but not their fault), but the salesperson (who came in on his day off to help me out) was able to find a comparable car that fit my needs at the same price, personally drove from Tacoma to YAKIMA to pick it up, and delivered it to my house. In short, the price for my new Elantra Touring was excellent, the vehicle is amazing, the service was great, and I would do business with them again in a heartbeat. *Note: I have no affiliation with Larson Hyundai, other than as a very happy customer. The glowing review is how I actually feel.
