Do not purchase from Rairdon Nissan of Auburn! They do not keep promises

by Jennchevy on 05/31/2017

My husband and I purchased a Jeep in March and were promised the repairs to fix the leak. The seals( not sure which ones, as it did not say on invoice) were replaced and my Jeep still leaked. After numerous attempts of contacting and leaving messages I got no response. Finally last week, I was told to bring it in for water leak test and I did so on Monday. They determined it still did leak, and they said they wanted to replace it with a used hardtop on their lot, that was not insulated. When I bought my jeep, the hardtop I have, is insulated. I told them it was not fair because it wouldn't be what I paid for. I attempted, and now no one will talk to me about this. I have sent one last email to the GM to come up with a solution. This blows my mind, after 2.5 months and still not fixed. I have given mire then a reasonable amount of time, and I have tried to be patient. I don't want money, I just want what we were promised. Rairdon's rocks!

by Bill525 on 05/26/2017

Gave sales mgr Dennis parameters for what I was looking for, and he had a car waiting for me when I went to the lot two days later. Fantastic!

Caution-women, take your business elsewhere

by LMseattle on 12/02/2016

Caution: I would advise women to avoid this dealership. Pros: Excellent service department. Manager Solomon is responsive and detail-oriented. Cons: 1) Sexist practices. Salesmen openly laughed, used intimidating body language and demeaning tones of voice when I expressed concerns regarding the vehicle and during financial negotiations. The sale was rushed and high-pressure. The employee who finalized the financing is also sexist. When I rejected an extended warranty on my used vehicle, the employee asked me: "Who trained you to say that? It seems like someone trained you to say that." (Because I am a young female, someone must have "trained" me.) 2) Poor quality vehicles. Rairdon's sold me a car with known manufacturer's defects (serious transmission problems) and only one working key. A second key was only offered to me if I purchased an extended warranty (bargaining tool?) 3) Dishonesty. Rairdon's refused to provide me with the inspection report for inspections done when Rairdon's received my used car because "it was a weekend." The dealership "missed" serious safety defects in this inspection (or purposefully sold the vehicle with these defects). 4) Poor customer service. When I became aware of these transmission defects, I returned the car to be serviced, which did not work and the defect cannot be fixed. I have attempted to work with the dealership for retribution and they have been difficult. The delays and lack of response is appalling. It took several emails, phone calls, three trips to Auburn and one hour of conversations with the manager before they agreed to offer me a "trade" on this poor quality vehicle that was sold to me. I will not be getting the value of my initial trade-in. As of now there are no cars on their lot I am interested in, and they will not offer me any other solution. Conclusion: The "Customer Service Promise" hanging in Rairdon's dealership states that they will only sell quality vehicles that meet the needs of their customers. Sadly they have not lived up to this promise. This, combined with their unwillingness to fix their mistakes and their sexist practices has led me to warn family, friends and coworkers to steer clear of their establishment.

AVOID Rairdon's Nissan of Auburn

by chris438 on 03/15/2015

My wife and I wanted to trade in our Nissan Frontier for a Rogue. We weren't looking for a stellar deal, just reasonable blue book value. After 20 minutes of assessing our truck, we were offered half of the value, with no room to negotiate. Needless to say, we left feeling completely insulted! We drove up the street and went to Yonkers. Not only did they offer us 115% of blue book value (twice that of Rairdon's), but they put us into fully loaded Rogue with 0% financing...

The General Manager

by Life_is_Good on 06/16/2013

I am giving this negative rating because I invested a lot of time, effort and good faith towards the purchase of a new vehicle and had a very bad experience. The General Sales Manager, Jack M. is, frustrating, condescending, and rude. He had no intention of honoring the price that the Sales Associate offered me via email. The "Internet" price that was quoted to me in an email was not honored. The sales persons (2) that I worked with knew that I would be paying cash. Apparently, I need to "finance" the purchase to get an additional $500 rebate. I waited for a month and a half for my Xterra to arrive from the factory. I was going to get it just the way I wanted. I was very happy and excited to pick it up. I transferred the funds to my checking as was ready to make the purchase. But it now appears that I had too good of a deal. It was obvious that they did not want to sell me the vehicle. Must be that they can sell it for more money to someone else. When I arrived the vehicle as not waiting out front, detailed and ready for delivery. We had to walk around to the back (dirt) lot to view the vehicle. The Sales Associates and Internet Staff were very friendly. However, when I wanted to discussed (negotiate) the $500 discrepancy there was no consideration. Just a brief apology. I was treated as though I did not matter. I was treated with complete indifference. Wow, this was a shock for me. I have purchased seven brand new vehicles in my life, and this was by far the worst experience, and I did not even get to make the purchase. Really ???, over $500 ??? I was willing to spend more money, but work with me here... Our original Sales Associate is no longer working there (I wonder why?). I feel sorry for the nice folks that have to work for this arrogant General Sales Manager (Jack M). Please make your purchase of a vehicle somewhere else. I recommend buying a Toyota across the street. A month previous, I bought a brand new Toyota, across the street. It was a perfect experience. The vehicle was waiting and detailed for me when I arrived. All staff were professional, and it was a pleasant and smooth transaction. There are many dealerships where you can spend your hard earned dollars. I recommend going somewhere else. Sincerely, One Unhappy "Almost" Customer

Do Not Buy from Rairdons If You Expect Service After the Sale

by seattlejuke on 07/19/2011

I bought a Nissan Juke from Rairdons. Everything went well up to the sale. After I purchased however, I have not received any customer service. They gave me the wrong user manual for my car and now no one will return my emails or voice mails asking for the correct user manual. It is such a shame to see a dealership not service customers after the sale. I thought the days of bad customer service were over.

To be avoided at all costs

by brookster1 on 04/22/2011

First of all, the price quoted by email with the internet salesperson was not honored upon arrival. Secondly, the treatment received by the sales manager when we questioned their refusal was rude, insulting, and demeaning. Definitely some of the worst customer treatment I have ever received! I was completely flabbergasted. Needless to say, we did not buy a car from them. I do not understand how they can promote themselves as Edmunds.comPremierDealer. I can only recommend as strongly as possible that this dealership be avoided at all costs!

Worst car buying experience ever. Do not go here!

by hille01 on 01/13/2011

After submitting for a quote via online, I got a e-mail back (I didn't give them my number as I'm an 71 year old man and don't want to play the games) I was surprised that Todd got back to me so quickly. I thought he provided with me with a fair price after a few e-mails back and forth. At first he wouldn't give me a price unless I would come into the dealership. I explained that I wouldn't until I got your best price. I couldn't see what the big deal was as other dealers had no problem with it. A couple days later I got another quote from Greg, that was the same car but a different price (More money.) After finally going to the dealership and test driving a new Nissan Altima I was given another price of MSRP. I asked to speak with the owner and got "he's not available" then asked for the General Manager, again, "he's not available" They were probably out golfing together. Finally I got a "sales manager" that tells me I should buy the car and pay MSRP as that is a great deal. They tell you one thing to get you in, and then take it all back. I even showed him other quotes for invoice pricing or even a few hundred under invoice price. He told me to buy it from them. So long story short... That's what we did! Do not waste your time, do not let these [violative content deleted] take your money!

Fantastic!

by ddnissanluv on 11/29/2010

I did a lot of research on the Nissan Juke, down to specs and rebates. Everything that I asked my sales rep, John, was thoughtfully and educationally given back to me, with no intense sales pressure or attitude. He was the most honest saleman I have ever dealt with and I really appreciated that. The finance process was very easy due to my perfect credit, and the trade in they gave me was seriously way more than I thought it would be. I absolutely love my car and loved my entire experience.
